ever. >> do you have any good news? >> no, nothing, more storms and dodging more storms later today. >> at least cool us down a little bit. bring on the storms right? let's get to the graphic mooser and show you what's going on this morning. >> not a bad morning a mild morning we'll call it. 76 downtown and pair of 7s over the eastern shore. outside and mount airy showing some signs of life. look at this right now with our starting to rise. 76 degrees. and the mount airy section of town. maryland's most powerful radar is clear overhead. out to the west though and notice about 400 miles to the north and west there's a cluster of showers and storms that's starting to develop. we're going to be monitoring that all afternoon long because it looks like that drops south and east and will bring us a gusty shower and thunderstorm during the course of the afternoon. the day is like this. lunchtime 88-degrees and on the way for 92. muggy with a scattered showers or thunderstorm late in the afternoon. going to the evening. we'll talk more about the forecast and time it out on future trends those storms that is coming up in just a little

bit. all right cook what's cooking in traffic? well, mike still dealing with that water main breaked i mentioned. -- break as i mentioned. light street shut down between baltimore and lombard street. use mass transit if at all possible. do leave yourself some extra time. fortunately no issues on the jfx nice and clear from 695 all the way downtown to east fayette street and as we check in and take a live look here at 895, at o'donnell street you'll notice nothing to get in the way. traveling through that harbor tunnel. fort mchenry tunnel also going to be free of any delays whatsoever. now down in anne arundel county, interstate 97. here's what it looks luis castillo at the beltway no problems headed up to 695 or down to route 50. that's a look at your abc2 timesaver traffic. megan and charlie, over to you. going to need water for so many parts of your life you may take it for granted until one day it's gone. now if you run a business and you rely on water you can be shut down until you get it back.

that's what some are dealing with in downtown baltimore. and abc2 news' sherrie johnson is live this morning with an update on what's going on with this washington nationalser main break. -- water main break. some changes could be coming. >> reporter: that's right. we have all new information for you this morning. some of the businesses have reopened. they now have water. for instance this 7/11 right here, they opened about 3:00 p.m. yesterday. they now have water. they're reopened for business. and right across the street here, this dunkin' donuts, you can see a customer coming out there with his goodies. they just reopened. just a few minutes ago. they are serving customers and they now have water. these were just two of the businesses that have been closed down for the past couple of days and this right here, this big hole in the grounds? this is the reason. why the crews focus on repairing the water main break, and you know what, they're telling me that it's going to take about three weeks to repair this huge pipe. and you know, basically these businesses have been suffering but they're glad that the work moving along and they now have water and they can get back to

business. the department 06 public works decided the two block area affected should be dug up and the 20-inch main along with the parallel 10-inch main should be replaced by newer pipes. and while cars are actually redirected during this repair work, foot traffic is pretty steady. and you know for some businesses, no water for them meant no income. >> i'm hoping that the work -- the work, will be finished by august. because the august is taken away from me, i might as well you know, it's going to be very hard for us to keep our head above water. >> reporter: so once again, many of the businesses like this dunkin' donuts right here, they just opened up about 20 minutes ago. they had been shut down for a couple of days. but they have just reopened. we just saw employees go in there. open up we just saw a couple of customers coming out but again right now we're being told it's going to take about three weeks to repair this pipe.

reporting live in downtown baltimore, sherrie johnson, abc2 news. 5:35 right now. this is what you hope your child does. fight back. a man tried to kidnap a girl but what she's taught about stranger danger it pays off. look hat this slid owe a 10- year-old girl was nearly abducted right in front of the home. it's all caught on surveillance. this is philadelphia with man walking up to a child and picking her up. she starts screaming and kicking and even bites the man. it lasted just 30 seconds and the girl got away. >> i just thought i don't know many kids that would do that. i just thought how strong she was and i was just thankful that she was that strong. and able to get away from him and fight him off. because if that didn't -- i wouldn't be talking to you right now. about her being okay. >> the neighbors are doing their part this morning to help police catch this guy. by handing out flyers with his description. as you drive down one lane
