catonsville. jeff? >> reporter: twice in june and now twice over the weekend police believe the same man has committed these robberies at various banks within a few blocks of the beltway it. targets people either seeking them on foot or in the driveway and commits the crimes between 9:30 and 10:00 on saturdays and sundays. >> the suspect is a black male about 5'9" to 5'10" and arrives at the atm in some kind of vehicle. >> reporter: the robber struck at various places. he's also grown bolder each time, demanding the bank card, pin number and car keys from his latest victim on sunday. police said to be aware of your surroundings and try to choose a machine that's well lit.

jeff hager, abc2 news. it was a year ago we were telling you about a triple shooting. ed faces have no answers. brian kuebler is here to explain. >> reporter: they why all shot to death a year ago. police have worked the case but none of them led to breaks. it adds to the pain of two different families. it is why they joined to canvass the area with fliers hoping to dig up a new lead before the case get as to old.

suspects in a stabbing on reisterstown road on monday that backed up traffic during the evening rush hour. the three men were seen next to the 7 eleven in the 5100 block. they crossed the road. one man stabbed a victim repeatedly near the bus stop. the man collapsed when the suv ran over him. paramedics transported the man to a local hospital where he is still listed in critical condition. tonight baltimore police need your help trying to identify this man. he's wanted in connection with a sexual assault. it happened in the 2300 block of aiken street. anyone with information is asked to call the city police department's sex offense unit. 410-396-2076. new tonight, the catholic priest at the center of the landmark sexual abuse coverup in

four others hurt after a house exploded in niagara county, new york. officials identified her as sara johnson. her parents and two children are being treated for extensive burns and cuts. there is no word tonight on what caused that explosion. now to texas where a dust storm is being blamed for a massive pileup in the interstate. investigators said there were three separate crashes in the same hear yesterday around the same time due to limited visibility from the storm. the first crash involved 10 cars and left two men dead. the second one involved seven cars and the third was a single carrollover. 200 dogs are now in shelters across pennsylvania after being rescued from one home. now 13 of the pups went to the lucerne county spca. people were showing up to adopt the dogs before they were ready to leave the shelter.

nonsevere category right now. how about a look at mt. airy. 89 degrees, nearly 90 with a heat index value much, much higher. we can see a little bit of a storm structure off to the east. so that's one of our storm cells on the move, but, again, at this point in time not a severe storm. how about across the inner har burkes hazy, hot and humid was the story throughout the entire day. we continue to see active weather across maryland. look at that hazy sky. our view from the naval academy just unsettled enough that we could see continued isolated storms. right now conditions are hot. we've got generally more rain cooled conditions where the big rain shield is over virginia, still close to 90, 90 in ocean city. the dew point numbers are up above 70. that gets to be very oppressive.

the highest would be around 75 to 76 in maryland. we've seen it as high as maryland. we're at 72 on that measure of the moisture in the atmosphere. winds have picked up from the west. boundaries trying to get in here. ahead of the boundary you see the high temperatures in the low and mid-90s. this boundary, although for now is a negative and it's sparking gusty storms behind this there's some relief, less humid air sinking into pennsylvania, ohio, michigan. we're going to get a break tomorrow as the humidity gets pushed further south. it will retreat back into maryland as we go into the latter part of the week. there is this chance, the opportunity for drier conditions, less humid conditions. drier air will be the story but in the meantime we were got an area of high pressure technically but it's a dirty high pressure system meaning storms rotating around the center of circulation.

it continues to be a hot, humid unsettled pattern. as we go into wednesday, you see the storms are off the map. that's because the descrier hair will be in place. we have no chance for rain. as we go into thursday, humidity backing back out of the south into the north and pop-up showers and storms remaining a threat as we go into thursday afternoon and friday afternoon. tomorrow we get a break in the action. tomorrow 88, less more seasonable, not a bad day. tomorrow night temperatures dropping to 68, a lingering storm with late clearing in the mix and how about your seven-day forecast as we look ahead. well, kelly, i like to call it classic late july weather. it's all about how you frame things, classic late july weather, but, again, i'll say that wednesday looks like a great day if you have the day off, maybe you hit the pool. we should see more sunshine, less haze and better hair day

time. obesity has already been linked to various health problems in adults. a new dutch study is linking obesity to cardiovascular problems in children as young as two. they had at least one risk factor for heart disease. it came from the clinical records of doctors across the netherlands. studies of owe beast teens in the u.s. have come up with similar findings. health officials in new york are holding public hearings on the ban of sugary sodas it. would ban over 16-ounce sodas. obesity costs over $16 billion in healthcare costs. new york city's board of health will take a final vote on the plan coming up in september.
