area. >> the strike had set their gas line ablaze. their lucky break, they were home at the time. >> had we not been home, this house would have been ruined. within seven minutes there were flames all over. >> they managed to turn off the gas and retrieve their emergency fire extinguisher. >> i had never checked it before because i never thought i would have to use it. my husband knew how to use it. within a few seconds we were able to control it. that was the most valuable lesson i learned. >> wow, amazing story. you've already seen them cha cha once but celebs from "dancing with the stars" want a second shot at the mirrored ball. who made the cut. >> your favorite stars are ready to kick up their heels again for

a case of road rage caught in florida. a black pickup continues on down the street. the driver of the beamer gets out of the car, pulls out a gun and shoots at the truck and hops back in and calmly drives off. nobody was hurt even though one of the bullets did accidentally hit the truck. the shooter is still on the loose. in washington state a couple has spent the last week watching their front lawn disappear off a 200 foot cliff. the ledge is inching closer and closer to their home. for now it seems safe.

sunshine. we're starting to move into the 90s. 91 in town. easton at 90. the eastern shore is hot. salisbury is 98. with humidity it feels like 102. it now feels like it's 99 in baltimore. we'll be talking about the heat indexes still at that level. there's some for rowious thunderstorms, richmond, roanoke. we go up toward the north. we find more storms parts of pape -- indianapolis, going into cleveland. if we're going to keep the chance of storms in the forecast after 1k-8, there could be just a pop-up shower or thunderstorm. so be awar of that -- aware of that. clouds were in place early on.

olympic training facility. >> we are all proud of you are. we really are. you have a country back home who's rooting for you every single second. you already won. >> reporter: today the first lady led a presidential delegation to the opening ceremony. there's no word on whether she or the political rival will cross paths. >> romney will make three stops on this international tour. the white house is taking notice. what can you tell us about that? >> reporter: according to the white house it's no coincidence. actually, there's saying there's no link according to romney's itinerary. his first day is in england. yesterday the white house press secretary said the top terrorism adviser is working with british securities to prep for the olympics. the next stop for romney israel and the white house announced
