man who exposed himself to a woman walking on a path in crofton. it happened near allison. she was on the path we a man in a red -- on red mountain bike road by and exposed himself. after, he continued on his way. officers did not find him. police in st. mary's county arrested this severna park man after he exposed himself to them while they ate at a lexington park restaurant. he exposed himself to the women last thursday. the women told the restaurant manager. they gave a description to limits detectives were able to identify him, arrested him and charged him with two counts of indecent exposure. he has since been released. >> all right, kelly, a couple of

a high speed chase in california does not end well. highway patrol officers tried to stop the driver and ended up using force. wow. they smashed the car window before the suspect took off. one person is in custody. shots may have been fired. police are still investigating tonight. imagine this. trying out a new roller coaster and getting stuck up on top.

mean, the sunshine came out in force, kind of the reverse of a typical summer day. today our rain came early. look at that blue sky, a nice finish to this late summer, late july afternoon. look how green the grass is, just partly cloudy skies. right now conditions at bwi are relatively warm. 85. humidity moderate. dew point numbers in the upper 60s, low 70s. so it is humid. mid-80s a little misleading. even though we have a bit of a breeze with that bries off the bay and -- breeze off the bay and the atlantic, that dew point around 72 in cambridge. so sticky conditions absolutely. heat plus humidity, what it feels like low to mid-90s. a scattering of showers from maryland up into pennsylvania. but the main weather maker on the map is off the carolinas.

in the making. samsung and apple are fighting over which tablet design came first. apple claims samsung deliberately copied it's iphone and ipad design. apple is asking for $2 1/2 billion in damages. samsung claims apple is the one doing the copying that apple's inspiration came from sewny. samsung claims by initiating the lawsuit apple is trying to stifle competition and limit consumer choice. afterall, a judge has banned a version of samsung's tablet until the dispute gets sorted out. if samsung is found guilty, then more of the product could be banned in the u.s. for apple it means tougher competition. apple's iphone was once the market leader but samsung is outselling them. ultimately, it's a case that

will determine which company is the real innovator. i'm reporting from new york. well, gas prices have gone up more than nine cents in the past few weeks. the national average is now sitting at $3.51. the major reason is the price of crude oil. the largest single component as increased by $3 a barrel over the past two weeks. air travelers will finally get relief from soaring air fair price. next month fairs are ex-- fares are expected to drop 10% to 20%. in the first three months of 2012, domestic air fares were 5% higher than at the same time last year, so a little bit of relief. your bills are big and you'll try anything to cut them
