and steel barriers and crews are going out to work. no charges tonight for the man accused of threatening to open fire at his workplace. we first told you about neil prescott on friday. he was taken into custody after threats were reported to police. since then the 28-year-old man has been undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. officers found about two dozen weapons in his apartment. charges won't be immediate and the investigation continues to go on and on. two speed cameras defaced and they are both close to one another near catonsville. this is the second time one of those locations was hit and neighbors there are none too happy about it. >> speed cameras aren't exactly universally popular but this one seems to be taking the brunt of

driver's frustration. you're looking at the base of where it once stood. it's being repaired now once again after it was vandalized. back in april this was burned, spray painted and kicked while residents realize they are unpopular. this speed camera does make a difference along this road and they want to see the vandalism stop. >> we are hoping this gets back really quick especially since school is starting up. it's going to be a lot of traffic, a lot of foot traffic with the children. >> there was a second speed camera vandalized also with spray paint baltimore county police say they have no suspects and no witnesses but do say both speed cameras should be back in operation fairly quickly. in catonsville, brian kuebler, abc2 news. we have a shooting to tell

you about out of harford county. sheriff's deputies found shah leely. he says he doesn't know the person who attacked him but investigators don't think it was a random act. call police, 410-836-5081, if you have information. investigators are trying to figure out what happened to the house in northeast baltimore. police found her man regis' body in the 5900 block of urath avenue. his family had not heard from him in awhile. firefighters found his body near the front door. they suspect he had been dead for several days. his death has been ruled a homicide. police in st. mary's county have charged this man with

string of attempted sexual assaults. the most recent happened over the weekend. police believe the same man is responsible for all three attacks and say it happened near boors what we see are fee -- bars. >> what we see are females walking in poorly lit areas, and he's approached them, made a conversation and attempted to sexual assault them. >> police are asking anyone with information about the incidents or similar ones to call detectives right now. the department is also urging people to use the buddy system and not walk alone, especially when drinking and stick to public areas. if you are heading down to the beach police want you to be safe. they have given us these tips. never walk alone. if you have to go somewhere by yourself tell someone where you're going and tell them the route. avoid drinking too much.

administration. >> people are, in some cases paying money to have this done and other cases providing a bank account information or social security information to get this supposed grant which is not real. >> reporter: instead, it's another way to get your money or personal information and you could end up the victim of identity theft if you sign up. the ag's office said so many are hearing about it from friends and family. at this point there's no obama grant to cover your utility. so know it's nothing more than a scam. joce sterman, abc2 news. >> this cam not only cost cash but can result in late fees and shutoffs because victims believe their bills are being paid for. if this happens to you, the attorney general said to let your utility company know right away. in the backyard, anne arundel county police seized

where if are a watching it in hd you can see that severe thunderstorm warning. let's show you the weather as it changed. had a couple of time lapses. these are exclusive hd abc2 weather bug sunshine coming out. it's a reverse of our typical daytime summer pattern where we see early sun and then the storms rolling. we have the showers hand storms early this morning. now the sunshine has come out in force across the mt. airy region, beautiful blue skies, giving way to bright blue skies. had some clearing, a couple of puffy fair weather cumulus clouds. as we look at kent island, rain early, giving way to sun. it was the pattern across the entire state of maryland. gorgeous shot. right now at the airport we've got basically mid to upper 80s.

winds are southeast at seven. visibility unrestricted. an easterly breeze helping to hold temps down. that, plus the morning cloud cover. we saw a few upper 80s as opposed to 90. mid to low 80s now. 79 in ocean city. that's comfortable stuff but we always had to factor in the humidity in maryland, especially this part of plate july into early aug gust 71 in annapolis. 72 cambridge. we have humid conditions, makes it feel below 90. so we always talk about that real feel temperature. all right. neighborhood by neighborhood we're back in the upper 80s from reisterstown to arbutus. maybe a late day pop-up shower or storm in shady side. pasadena looking at 87. on the map right now we've got a couple of scattered showers in

the mid-atlantic. the main weather maker is to our south. one to the west. we'll keep an eye on this. the main weather maker remains to our south and east spinning over the carolina coast. will this low pressure area deepen, strengthen a bit. we think it's offshore. if it make has turn inward that could mean more unsettled weather for us. here's a look at our future trend model. we projected it to sit here and develop off the coast. if it gets stretched north that who keep it weaker. it will be an interesting storm system and enough wet weather a few hundred miles from the beach. it's our weather wild card. we'll keep an eye on it. overnight pretty quiet, 7 -- 70. we stay balmy. maybe a late day shower that could linger. the seven-day forecast pretty
