-- weapons were found at his home. officials believe he was planning a colorado-style shooting. when the police went to talk to prescott, he was wearing a shirt similar to this one saying guns don't kill people. i do. after reviewing all the options available under maryland law the state's attorney could only come up with misuse of telephone facilities and equipment. >> three years and a $500 fine is all that this particular offense covered. >> reporter: the state's attorney said all the guns were purchased legally. he will not be able to purchase new guns. >> at that point he seemed unstable. >> reporter: the less chief said he had hoped for a felony but is account a major catastrophe was avoided. >> we believe that a tragedy was averted in this case.

complicated. the biggest difference that most women might notice is the change on the birth control copace. you may have to pay for the trip to the pharmacy. only a small fraction will see a difference today. first it only applies to those with priest insurance. within that group, women's plans who have not changed will not see a difference. it will take time for all the plans to be agisted because there is grandfather clause. according to abc2 news, half of insurance plans and fewer than that for smaller companies will have to comply. jenny block with planned parenthood said the changes will make a difference. >> i think for the many women of maryland who will find themselves with a health insurance that allows them to

man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. not too far away from there not even two miles away, two people were shot on frederick avenue in west baltimore. one man was found slot in the leg. another man was behind the west side shopping center and third victim walked into the hospital. still not clear if all three plen shot one another or if anybody else was involved. >> a runner was an patapsco road when she saw a body in the road. police said the dead man is a 28-year-old from elkton. they're waiting for word from the medical examiner's office. >> at about 7:00 on tuesday a

jogger in carroll county saw the body of a man lying on the bank along a pasture area. deputies responded to the scene, set up a perimeter. ems determined the individual was deceased at the scene. homicide responded and is continuing the investigation. >> police said there were no obvious signs of trauma but they are investigating. >> the traffic at the chick-fil-a rivaled that of the grand opening. supporters of gay marriage tried to organize protests against the fast food chain after its ceo dan cathy made comments. he's the same man that doesn't allow his chain to open on sundays because of his religious

state fair grounds. 100 teams competing in the robotic tests. these budding engineers are part of the summer learning program. they all took special robotic programs to get ready for today's challenge. students get their materials. they build their robots over the course of the summer. they have matches and scrim images throughout the summer. this is their final culminating event. >> it's part of the city's push to get students excited about technology, engineering, science and math. >> whether you prefer chocolate chip or peanut butter, he will impress you with his remarkable gift for baking. he also as good business sense. we have aaron's inspiring story.

down into the 80s. 88 in washington, d.c. frederick is a rain cooled 84. you were earlier around 90 degrees. dew point. that's an indication it's feeling muggy. showing some spotty showers toward the west of us. you can see this moving north of frederick. mt. airy, not severe but this is a strong storm many we have hail tracker showing some small hail. we'll watch it has it moves north of 70. more storms over carroll county as we led through the evening. let's switch it over. notice how it starts to pulse back up. more lightning is being detected. woodsboro is on top of you. so keep an eye on this as it drifts toward the south and east. it's a slow mover, moving at 15

miles an hour. those few storms are out there. 76 on our way to 73 degrees. we'll take our temperatures warmer tomorrow into the 90s. the overall setup is a little complicated. you can see the stationary front. here's this low enhancing everything. the real humid air is to the south. that will arrive tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow evening. friday going into the weekend a sticky feel before more storms well out to the west. terms of temperatures, we're talking about seasonable readings over the east coast. how about this. 109 in tulsa. they hit 110 degrees, unbearable heat. so it's going to be an interesting weekend. the heat, the humidity returns. a thunderstorm with all this humidity in play. we've been watching the system over the central atlantic for the last couple of days.

the hurricane center has a new advisory calling this tropical depression number five at 16 miles an hour. winds are at 35. we're watching winds coming off of sark -- south america. that is called shear. we'll keep an eye on it. 69 for the overnight. early storm. it's a muggy feel. tomorrow a dry feel and here comes the humidity. not talking heat index around 100 but that could change by friday. 94 and that could trigger off a late day shower. we'll call it a drier day for saturday at 93 but the humidity is right back into play for sunday. there could be big storms sunday noon into monday l.a. drier feel as we head into next week. we'll talk or about the stoppics at 11 and see if we raise the temperatures. >> don't let the hot weather
