from schizophrenia. there are plenty of reality tv shows out there on every subject. robbing people, sounds like a terrible idea. police arrested two guys saying the two robbed people and claim it was for a reality show. one of the men is from temple hill, one of the men put the victims in the head lock , the other recorded the robbery on a cell phone. warning this morning if you plan to take your family to the county or state fair, there has been a jump in the number of swine flu cases. linda so is live at the fairgrounds with everything you need to know and linda, a lot of parents need to pay attention, it is becoming fair season. >> reporter: no confirmed cases of swine flu in maryland. with the state fair coming up in a few weeks and several county fairs going on now, health officials want you to be careful. at the howard county fair, they are taking steps to keep people safe, hand washing stations and

hand sanitizer around the fairgrounds to use after coming in contact with pigs. the swine supervisor is checking the pigs everyday to make sure they are healthy. the new cases have been reported in hawaii, ohio and indiana, all of the cases were linked to people who either went to or worked with swine at agricultural fairs. it's the same in pigs as humans, fever, redness in eyes and coughing and trouble breathing. >> i am not worried about that. >> reporter: the best thing you can do if you happen to go to a fair is wash hands. don't take food in and around barns. here at the maryland state fair, they plan to have hand washing stations available. linda so, abc2 news. discussion on ways to stop

bullying in the schools continues in washington dc today. secretary of education, arny duncan is scheduled to speak at the summit. the dangers of texting and driving are well known, especially for young drivers. the tour is bringing a high- tech simulator and tools. they will be setting up at reservoir in fulton. oreos are teaming up with underarmor to help injured military members. basically stuffing backpacks with underarmor and gear. they be distributed to the wounded warrior project. groups supporting marriage equality want to be part of your morning routine, asking same-sex marriage advocates to head to starbucks. dozens of other companies are taking part. drought situation across most of the country is growing worse by the day. president obama is meeting with the white house rural council to come up with ways to respond to the crisis.

maryland students are enjoying the sum evasion. for high school students in indiana, the school year begins today. it's remarkable when you consider a few months ago a tornado ripped through the building, five months ago they sense rebuilt. 600 students and staff were in the building when the tornado hit, none of them were hurt. this is a smoke funnel cloud, popping up around oklahoma because of the wild fires dealing with there. the drifting smoke forced authorities to close several state roads, some of the fires have been contained while others are burning this morning. a major problem dealing with there. are those like what you see in the fields across the midwest? the dust devils. they are not strong, they spin. >> basically, what you are seeing is a gust nado, a rotating cloud, coming from

thunderstorms off of a gust front. that's what that is. >> scary looking. >> anything that spins like that you are thinking it's a tornado. it at the low levels, nobody is out there. everything is okay with that. speaking of severe weather, nothing across the area for us today. that's good news, we are looking at the satellite and radar. clouds mixing with sunshine. that will be the trend as we go in to the afternoon. the humid weather, look at manchester right now. we have a nice little bit of sunshine, little bit of clouds, that will be what we see through manchester throughout the day. everywhere we will look at the same, temperatures will be more of the same as well. what i mean is that we will be heating up through time. the p thes are above -- the temperatures are above average, 73 baltimore. 78 dc. close to 80 there. 75 easton. towards the west, see where some of the drier air has woked

in here, drier, cooler air, it's pretty much stalled out, a stalled out front to the south of us. the drier air not going to make it through for today. we can see that on the moisture content the dew point, 66 baltimore, that's slightly humid. we are sultry in to easton and 72 in dc as we look at the temperatures in the 70ss you know what that means, we are looking at the tropical storm tracker, ernesto, winds sustained at 65 miles per hour. category one hurricane. it slides in to mexico, southern mexico. that looks good for the u.s. we won't be impacted by the storm whatsoever. the future trend picks up on more showers popping up as the front goes more north tomorrow, that's our better chance, our chance for showers and storms come on friday. this is a check of the forecast, 9 degrees is what i'm going for today. if you are head heading to the
