we're dealing with that saturated air that will continue throughout the day. your hour by hour looks like this. 91 degrees by lunchtime. 3:00 p.m. 90 degrees and we topped out yesterday right around 87. the reason why is we had more clouds moving across the air wra. >> well, not only are grand prix preparations underway we're dealing with repairs to a sink hole on the east side of the city. that massive water main break from last month it's still not fixed from downtown. you can always use hopkins place to get around the me. and if you are using 95 this morning this is what it looks like at 395. fortunately no delays getting through that fort mchenry tunnel. over on the beltway here's a look at that southwest corner at

wilkins avenue. just 11 minutes on that outer loop from 795 down towards 95. over to you. 4:32. a rely jus leader, a mother, a carpenter, those are some of the victims that were killed in wisconsin at the temple. people will come together to pray for those killed in that deadly rampage near milwaukee. they held a vigil last night not just to share their memory of the victims but to remember their culture and their be. the first one will happen outside the white house from 6:00 to 9:00 tonight. then another one will be held at the temple in silver spring at 8:00 tonight. we've learned more than a dozen lawmakers will be at that candle light vigil in silver spring. for the third straight night mourners held a vigil for the

she lived for us. everything she did, it was for us. she always had a smile. >> the xhushty is calling for a national moment of silence on sunday. it's asking people to mark observances at their churches, mosques and other places of worship. >> a 2 month old baby boy is safe with his relatives this morning after aen arundel county. this is at the grace point presbyterian church on monday. the past monday he and his secretary were both there. the baby had been outside for about three hours in a shaded entranceway of the church. >> i thought it must be a bird or soorsuo i found the baby inr seat. the car seat was facing the wall. >> he called 911. officers brought the child in to child services and police later arrested the boy's mother. her name was patricia miller. she was found in virginia. the infant did suffer from heat exposure but is expected to be okay. two men walking in the woods made an awful discovery. they were walking on a trail when they found a human head. neil says he stopped and prayed

when he thought about what that victim may have gone through. >> it's a horrible thing when you maim anybody. the fear that a person goes through, the horror is unexplainable. it's beyond my comprehension. i've never been totally insane so i can't understand a person that's insane. >> the remains have been e-turned over to the chief medical examiner's office where they are going to make every effort to identify that victim, the gender and the cause of death. par voe virus is often fatal and very expensive to treat and right now it is on the rise in harford county. a veterinarian there says that the number of par voe cases in their office is much higher than last yore. it's also highly contagious. other vets report the same trend. the common symptoms to keep in mind >> reporter: they're flu like symptoms, vomiting and diarrhea. if you have a younger dog you may want to think twice

adjustments for bringing the casino to the states. the issue is over whether or not to build a brand new casino in prince george's county. the reviews have been mixed. >> i t might lower taxes so it pieth be good. >> i don't think it's necessary. the one is not doing well now. i didn't really think we needed one to begin with. >> if that bill passs it would be voted on for the november ballot. if it passes or fails the majority would have to approve a referendum or that plan would fail. now ahead at 5:00 this morning we're going to hear what state senator nancy jacobs is feeling over it and why they're forcing this issue again coming up at 5:00 this morning. take a look at this. this is yesterday afternoon. a huge mess on the rich chi highway. that's where a tanker trailer carrying gasoline flipped and the tanker unhitched and skidded across the road. it did not catch on fire. >> it would have been pretty

catastrophic at 85 gallons of gasoline caught on fire. so very fortunate for the driver and the people in the our ya. >> no one was hurt but there was a lot of tie-ups because officers had that road closed for about 4 hours yesterday afternoon. a moderate earthquake hit los angeles early this morning. according to a preliminary report the magnitude was centered in northern orange county. geologists say that 2.7 magnitude aftershocks followed less than a minute later. no reports of damages or injuries as of right now but we will stay on top of the story and keep you posted. time now for a check on our weather. how's it looking out there? >> more of the same. still quite humid as you step out the door and temperatures are above average. we see some thunderstorms awe cross the middle of the nation

in batches and then we see another batch over toward the east. so the carolinas definitely getting hit by lots of stormy weather. they could see a lot of wealther as we go through today. not dealing with a whole lot of rain right now. stormy weather not happening but i'm not going to rule out a chance for a popup thunderstorm to roll into the picture. all this courtesy of the stationary front to the south of us. our next concern will be a cold front that's going to be moving in here from the west sparking some severe weather as we go into friday. look at these temperatures right now. 8 v 68 degrees. we're look at 70s in middletown and good morning goldsboro. >> well, sneak drugs into the country you're going to get caught. that is the mess and because look what they found. this is what two men tried to

smuggle into dulles. they seized nearly 4 poun cocaine. officials found the drugs inside the suitcases from men from gaut gaut. another inspection at dulless they found two heavily perfumed plastic baggies. a woman was hiding marijuana. it turned out tonight a small amount of marijuana so there will be no criminal charges filed in this case but that woman did have to pay 500 bucks. theyish ared into a store with knives in hand demanding money and grabbing whatever they could but the owners weren't going down without a fight. some pretty incredible surveillance video you've got to see. and she told the baby's mother to take a shower and what she did next is hard to imagine.

an awful dog attack for a young boy recovering from his wounds. two dogs chased billy harvey around the neighborhood. he says they were biting and tearing at his clothes. a woman nearby heard his screams and rushed to help him. those dogs continued to go after harvey even as that woman was trying to pull his dogs off of

him. he is recovering this morning and is expected to be okay. two criminals now know never to mess with one store owner. they tried robbing a convenience store. however, the owner was not letting them go without a fight. he started beating them with a stick. then a shelf. a neighbor heard the commotion going on and tackled one of the robbers. and take a look at this. this is a frightening story for anyone out there. police say that the woman you see here tried to abduct a baby. she was dressed in hospital scrubs and allegedly told the mom, take a shower. fortunately the baby had an electronic bracelet on its ankle which sounded the alarm and locked all the doors. the abductor was arrested. jared laugh ner is going to prison for the rest of his life.

he's been diagnosed with schizophrenia and will be forcibly medicated in prison. his psychiatrist says he is remorseful especially for killing 9-year-old christina green. >> there's never closure. there's a hole in the wound. in a statement of giffords said avoiding the trial will allow us we hope, the whole southern arizona community to continue our recovery. and we have a new video this morning out of charlotte north carolina of a flood rescue. a driver and a passenger became trapped in high watt ere last night. the good news is they both were okay. a lot of rain has been falling over the past 24 hours in this area and they'll do it all over

again as we head through today. close to home, nothing falling really from the sky. we only have one shower right around ocean city as of now. snow hill, that's about it. one lone shower back in virginia right now. it's an isolated shower and we can see more of those popping up as we go through the afternoon. speaking of the clouds let's take it to the tropics where we are looking at ernesto once again and it has made landfall. it has weakened a little bit. made landfall category 1 before it did so. it is going to restrengthsen. that's what the national hurricane center does think it's going to do before it makes a second land faul in southern mexico. that's the latest on hurricane now ernesto. as we check out what's going on in terms of the moisture levels it's high once again. very impressive as you step out the door this morning. this will continue as we go throughout the afternoon.

making head lips around the world this morning syrians are leaving the country by thousands. many are taking refuge as far knot as they can go but a lot of those refugees have ended up in camp in jordan but the situation, they are bad as well. some situations are so rough that they're starting to wobder if they should have stayed in syria and become martyrs in war. and secretary of state hillary clinton knows how to have some fun. she danced the night away at a dinner last night in south africa. it was hosted by the prime minister. clinton is in an 11-day tour that has already taken her to several african nations. shes going to speak about how the united states will help that country with that you are aids program. and a volcano asleep for over 100 years in new zealand has reawakened. scientists say there is a possibility of lava eruption. ashes actually accumulating several inches deep around roads in that mountainous area. they have been closed. no major damage has been
