materials. >> it sounds like she went up in smoke before the house went up in smoke. >> hello. >> if your facebook feed is overrun with -- >> pictures of people, babies, nonstop babies, babies -- >> find out about a way to unbaby your page. >> why are you going to replace a baby with a puppy. that's just a baby dog. and is 91 too old to drive? meet the grandma who is -- >> proving the theory wrong. >> no, no, no! this next video we're seeing seattle police investigating a report of a drive-by pelt gun shooting. you see officers on the scene a number of officers talking to a large group of what looks like young males. and as you can see there's somewhat of an argument going on here. this officer here is a 19-year veteran of the force. officer clayton powell.

and he is face to face with one of these individuals. watch this. it looks like the person with the backwards hat may have spit in officer powell's face and then you see officer powell come with what looks like a right cross there or a right forearm. officer powell's fellow officers at the scene being reported that they quickly told their supervisors of officer powell's action. and now officer powell has been relieved of duty and is now on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. they were both seem to be at fault. this is excessive force. i don't think this is excessive force. >> if the allegation is true of spitting, the officer should have stepped in so the other officer could take a breather. >> this happened days after the city of seattle and the u.s. department of justice announced a plan to reform the seattle police department. after a number of reports of officers routinely using excessive force.

seattle officials have agreed to have an independent monitor oversee the actions of the police department. i don't want officers to be afraid to get physical because they have fear of losing their job. i want them to use force if they need to, to protect themselves. and i don't want them to wait too long and themselves get hurt. a house fire broke out in apple valley, minnesota. it was all caught on video. and that video is going viral. >> oh, my god! hell no! what the [ bleep ]? oh my god! >> oh hell [ bleep ] no. >> holy [ bleep ]! natalie, bro. what the [ bleep ]? the house is on fire! >> hurry, hurry. get out. >> me get out? >> i got to get my cat. >> this is the weirdest reaction

to a fire. >> i have a feeling the cat is already vacated the premises. >> that's what so funny, at the end of the video, you hear someone else who is involved in this, saying you need to get out. she's like, what? i need to get out? wait, i got to get my cat. >> i'm frightened by this woman. is this is her reaction to her house being on fire. how does she react to other situations. she's a little too calm. >> what's with the -- >> to clear things up with the story behind this video, everybody got out okay, nobody was injured, everybody is fine. it was determined by the apple valley fire department, that the fire was started because of improper disposal of smoking materials. >> excuse me, what kind of smoking materials are we talking about, beth? >> you know, we don't know. you can assume, you can make your own judgments. but, you know, there were no -- reports that suggested that it was anything other than just smoking materials. >> it sounds like -- she went up in smoke before the house went

up in smoke. >> hey-oo! >> we can only assume that the girl with her in the house, might be named natalie. >> natalie-bro. >> what the [ bleep ], the house is on fire! talk about a close call. check out this passenger van that slipped off the side of the road and look what comes to its rescue. the people of the passenger van were able to get off the van before it slipped down this snowy ravine. there's a big old backhoe there, able to nudge this van back up onto the road. this was shot by abe and bethany oaky, music teachers who live in india. they're traveling india and china right now. [ cheers and applause ] >> they captured this incredible disaster averted.

>> ooh, ooh! >> that could have been really bad. you see how far down the van could have rolled off the side of the mountain. these are treacherous roads. and people are known to fall off the side of the road. >> did there just happen to be a backhoe laying around and a guy to operate it? it's not like those things can travel very swiftly. it had to be in the area. >> maybe it was going some plais, toplai place, too, maybe they just got lucky. all of those people standing off the side of the road did not go tumbling down the snowy cliff. it's one of the most heinous crimes that could happen. somebody stole the cupcakes. this happened in perth, australia, it's liz's birthday and her daughter sent her cupcakes. you see 3:00 a.m., the car across the house, it's australia

they parked on the other side of the street, there were cakes. >> where are the cupcakes? >> they were on the doorstep, they've been delivered along with flowers, waiting for birthday girl liz to come get them. they come back later, some woman in a white tank top and a blonde mohawk, leaves something, paper she drops behind, jumps back into the car. >> who does this? who steals birthday cupcakes? >> if somebody stole my red velvet cupcakes, i would call the swat team. >> and blame the delivery person here. you don't leave a perishable good object a doorstep without signing for them. because any animal loose on the streets could have eaten these things just the same. >> are they looking for this woman? is she going to be arrested and charged with cupcake thievery. >> i hope the cupcake maker see this story and send her a free batch the cupcakes. >> it's a travesty.

just in time and they were able to save this cute little muffin after a firefighter jumped in to grab him. >> good thing he didn't get scared and like run through the pipes, run away from all the noise and commotion. did somebody know that the dog fell down there? that's a hard sound to pick up on a street like that. >> he's actually wearing a leash and a harness, i think what happened is that he somehow managed to get away from his owner, who is there waiting for him. and that's the reunion right there. >> aww. >> the dog is going to be making a wide circle around the storm drains. >> he's like, i'm not going to go near there. forget chasing birds, this dog makes a splash with new friends under the sea. >> this pooch thinks she can have everything, watch kira swim

through the water. i like that the dolphins are playing along. the one was swimming circumstance thes around the dog. kira's owner run as dolphin center and even has a boat that takes people out on the little excursions named after kira. the great thing about the video, it's a couple months old, just now trending, i think people are watching it, trying to find a way to get through the dog days of summer. >> would you want to swim with kira or the dolphins? >> i want to swim with kira and the dolphins. i can pay to go out on the boat and swim with kira and the dolphins. >> thanks it for the show, thanks for spending time
