the toll plaza. megan and charley back over to you. today we may learn the name of a person who was shot and killed by police in howard county. now according to officers, this encounter started in baltimore city and happened around midnight on wednesday. a man reportedly went to his ex- girlfriend's house and held her and her child at gunpoint. threatened their lives and she was able to escape very early on thursday morning. but that man reportedly took off with her two-year-old. officers tracked him down and the shooting happened. the toddler was not there and this case is still being investigated right now. not only by baltimore city police but also howard county police. the officer involved is on advattive leave until -- administrative leave until it is shorted out. detectives from los angeles are look for a connection in prins george's county to a murder -- prince george's county to a murder. a body was -- l.a.
