the 15-year-old was at camden yards to watch. not one hit, but two home runs friday night. he made history as the youngest teen player to ever have a multiple home run game and he caught both of those balls. >> i thought it was coming my way but it curved a little so i was like i'm not going to get it. but then it landed to the left and i ran down and got it. >> there was a fan there waiting to get money for it. they offered him 2 grand for the ball, but he thought it was priceless so he made sure he got it. >> he autographed the second ball and it is in his home. they won today, too so we're off to a great start. also speaking of baseball, baseball legend and hall of famer, the celebration series.

i think this is going to be the case for the next 48 hours before these change around as we go into tuesday. 84 in town right now. 88 in dc, a lot of sunshine there. high temperatures ranging between 85 to around 82 in easton, look at ocean city, 79 degrees. look at oakland. it was a struggle to get to 70 today, because of the clouds. where we should be 86 degrees so we're one off that average high. we can call that below average for a change, 99 the record back in 1900. nothing in the bucket for the afternoon. a few clouds over the skyline. a mixture of clouds and stars tonight. 84 at 8:00. tomorrow morning we start out into the 60s on our way for the 80s. the difference in comparison, low humidity across the area. high pressure trying to nose in. we still have this front offshore so a few storms out

in west minister tonight we have future olympians. children ages 5 to 8 competed for their own goldina triathlon. eric was there for the competition. >> reporter: at the place olympics dreams are just beginning. >> watching the olympics it has been so exciting and so inspiring. >> they are signed up for their first triathlon. they swing 50 yards, ride two miles and run half a mile. >> i love them. it is a great way for everyone to get in shape. >> i like to get lots of exercise so my brain can work and get pumped up. i'll be strong. >> reporter: the six-year-old is competing in the splash and dash. >> i'm not nervous at all. i'm very excited. >> a little nerve-racking for

worker. you don't rest on your laurels. you're taking this back to the next level and that is where richard comes in by joining up with the learning center. i know preston is excited about it. tell me how you both connected. >> we have 20 locations throughout the state of maryland. we care for children, toddlers and school-age. our alignment is getting our children back to school prepared for school and ready for school. >> you're a child specialist so you know how important it is for kids to get a good start to the school year. >> it makes a difference. if they are not prepared with the right materials then they are off to a rocky start so we want to make sure they are off to a great start. >> i know wmar, abc2 news is also involved in this helping sponsor this whole big event. what will happen this year? how will it take it to the next

level? >> hopefully, we'll help out 5,000 kids. our foundation over the last nine years has averaged about 1200 kids, but we're going to help out more kids this year. our goal is 5,000. >> that is terrific. how does it work? >> currently we square care for 2200. >> so if you would like, you can as you're going this year and picking your children's school supplies out, pick a little extra for the children in need. after that stop by any of the locations and put it in our drop box and then we'll make sure it makes it to the ones in need. >> terrific. we have a list of things that folks should consider donating. >> backpacks, pens, pencils, wide ruled paper, notebooks, binders, composition books, any school related supply will be in need but when you go to abc2
