wet weather on the radar. let's zoom in to some of the heaviest rain now around hagerstown. this is sliding up toward the north around waynesboro. traveling into pennsylvania, you will get in on that as along i-70. and this is beginning to enter frederick county. so around woodsboro walkersville you will see wet weather. some light rain right now. but it will be picking up going throughout the morning and we can have another round as we go into the afternoon. we slide further to the south around culpepper with more heavier rain in the oranges and yellows. madison and even orange. that is the scenario for this morning. take the rain gear as you head out and about. temperatures right now in edgemere is at 75. more of the same in blattensburg and this is what you can expect hour by hour. 74 going through the early morning around 6. by 9, showers and storms possible and we have the chance for more showers and stormsheading into lunchtime with the temperatures at 83

and prosecutors requested the delay citing the need for more time to prepare. police believe michael johnson killed the teen back in december of 2010 while she was visiting family in baltimore. johnson he's attorney says there's more than 17,000 pages of evidence claiming none reveals the case against his client. >> with the discovery we have seen thus far, i am still trying to put it together to figure out what direction they are coming from. it seems to me there's the old cliche the last person to have seen them is the person responsible or involved and that's where they are right now. >> the trial set for january 21st a little more than two years after the disappearance. 4:34. the search is on this morning for the person who killed a anne arundel scanty man and may have -- shall county man and it may have been someone within his family. police responded to harlem avenue in pasadena for a report of a dead male. it didn't take long for investigators to determine that

50-year-old carouse keenon may have been the victim of foul play. >> we have developed what we believe a person of interest a family member, however i am not at liberty to elaborate more. we are treating it as a suspicious death and appears the victim suffered trauma to the upper body and this is an active case investigated by the homicide unit. >> police in another jurisdictions picked up the suspected family member on a traffic violation and that person is being held for questioning. the family of christopher brown plans to ask for stiffer charges against the off duty police officer charged in the toon's death. bron's mother will meet with baltimore county state attorney later today. last night the family held a rally angry over what they considered a slap on the wrist. officer involved -- to the officer involved. he chased brown down and pind hip to the ground -- pinned him to the ground. after internal investigation, labored was charged with one count of manslaughter and one count of involume unteary

manslaughter and released on bail. for brown's family they say that's not enough. >> if they collected all the evidence as i see it, the grand jury would have come up with a murder charge. >> chris brown's mother believes the state's attorney didn't present all the evidence to the grand jury something she will likely bring up with today's meet going repair work to replace the baltimore basilica is underway. over the next seven months workers will fix cracks and structural damage. it's going to cost around $5 million most covered by insurance. although tourists will be limited weekend service and wedding ceremonies will be held. the headache of getting around light street is now almost over. repairs to the water main break are done but drivers still can't use parts of light street. that's because the road needs to be repaved now. that job begins this week and will likely be done by next monday. sidewalks and businesses on the

two blocks where the work is taking place remain open. all right. let's talk about what we have going on this morning. because the wet weather beginning to make its move and this is from a system back off towards the west that's going to continue to move off toward the east as we head throughout the day. we have a cold front that's going to make its move and traverse the area going through tomorrow. so today, tomorrow, will be the chance for unsettled weather. so as you head out you know what to do. let's zoom in to the area where we are looking at showers and storms mainly to the north. we are seeing lightning strikes in pennsylvania right now. but we are getting some lighter to moderate rain back across western maryland. all this is sliding off towards the east as we enter frederick county and it will continue the trek east through the rest of the morning. as you head out and about, grab the rain gear. you will need it today. temperatures coming in pretty seasonable. 68 is what we have right now in towson. 69 in westminster. mount airy at 71. and we have more 70s from potomac to hanover and the

making headlines around the nation this morning, a gunman and two others are dead after a shootout that happened near the texas a&m university campus. police say a man beinger is waifed eviction notice opened fire on a police officer killing him and another man who was outside at the time. police say the gunman was shot and killed by other police officers. this is causing people to do a double take. billboards were put up and some people were finding it offensive a group called american atheistis responsible. one reads, god is sadistic and useless and another attacks

mormonism and call god the space alien. the ads were approved by a charlotte billboard company two weeks ago and american atheist paid 15 grand for them saying they did it to get a reaction. one person is killed and several others injured what public transit bus collided with a car. investigators in philadelphia say an acura veered in oncoming traffic and hit the transit bus. a passenger in the car died of her injuries. 12 people were on the bus. at the were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. police don't know exactly why the crash happened. two brothers were released on bail after 25 years in prison for a murder they say they didn't commit. raymond and thomas were sentenced to life in prison for a 1987 killing of a suspected detroit drug dealer. an alleged witness to the crime recently posted a statement on facebook suggesting that four different men were responsible for the killing. the court found the statements credible and threw the case out. a new trial will be held.

into virginia, be prepared for some rain. now the satellite and radar, the bigger picture shows the line moving through this morning. as we head back off toward the west x we can see another -- west, we can see another line around ohio. we have a cold front that's going to take its time as it goes through the day and will pass as we go into tomorrow. so this is a look at the future trend and what i am talking about. we have the humid air for today. yesterday, it was so comfortable but there's the cold front and behind the cold front that'swhere we have the drier air pushing in as we go into thursday. but in the meantime, we have to wait. this will move through as we go through tomorrow and behind that things will improve as the drier air makes its way in here. cooling down as we head into the forecast as well. when i mean cooling down i think you will like what i have. but we go into future trend and it will pick up on showers and possibly some storms as we go throughout the day as well. storm prediction center has us in a slight risk for severe weather going into the afternoon. we will see how operate with th humidity and all that moisture.

time for news around world. a former canadian youth pastor has been arrest for trying to lure a teenage boy online for sex. police say he met the boy and set up a location and the teen actually an undercover police officer. investigators are concerned there may be other victims out there. mixed reports out of syria about a crash involving a military jet. rebels say they shot it down and captured the pilot. however, the government blaming the crash on a technical

failure saying the pilot ejected safely. the rebels posted this video you are watching claiming they had the pilot and they are treating him as prisoner of war. pope benedict xvi butler is being tried on allegedly -- theft charge after leaking hundreds of secret papers. he took the papers from the pope's personal apartment and gave them to an italian journalist who published some of the documents in a best selling book about the vatican. the butler faces 6 years behind bars if convicted. the olympic park in london now gone from the party central to an empty blocked off construction site. now the games are in the books and the park is deserted. small groups of construction workers are working to transform them for use in the paraolympic games. olympic park had more than 5 million visitors in 17 days. take a look at what people living in northwest china have to deal with. heavy rains flooded the streets and stranded drivers in the
