see it here. this is from yesterday. and that is that thunderstorm that prompted that tornado warning as of now. things are look good. we are nice and calm but with all the rainfall up to about 3 to 4 inches in a lot spots, we could have a flood warning in effect for today and again that's for baltimore county as we go into about 5:30 and then wilbely able to expire. as we go through the rest of the day. rly morning, this is what we are looking at around 6, the temperature at 70. and we will be under partly cloudy skies. and still dry, though. and as we head into 9 in the morning temperatures at 78 partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. by lunchtime at 85 and we have the chance for more showers and storms to pop up especially as we head throughout the day. let's check the a become. -- let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic. >> reporter: we have trouble in howard county a car fire on columbia pike at route 100 to watch out for. for those of you using interstate 70. no delays whatsoever from

customers without power from this storm with the bulk right here in baltimore county. this rescue was at loch raven and lock hill. a woman was rescued from her car as water came up to the windows. rescue crews smashed the back window because they thought a baby was in the back seat but the woman was the only onin the care aaron's brother grabbed the woman and pull her to safetier. >> the woman wound up stuck in the water as it continued to rise, and she didn't want to come out the vehicle. once she came out of the vehicle she didn't want to move. so my brother walked out -- got out of his car and as we headed to grab the lady and pull her because she was still in shock. >> reporter: coming up at 5, how bad it got at ruxton road. but as you head out, remember there may be several traffic lights that are out because of the power outages just be careful and watch out for that.

deemed to wrap up the special session and not drag it out another day and it ran into the early morning hours. the maryland house of delegates passed the measure to allow a new casino in prince george's county as well as table games like pork and roulette at -- poker and roulette at came gel houses. it will allow vwf and american legion to have slots i was new element in the game building debate. the house approved a measure and sent it to the senate before midnight where it passed there. governor o'malley is expected to sign the measure this morning at 10. it will go before voters for approval or defeat on the november 6th ballot. >> the tendency for abuse fraud and embezzlement is emense. we will take the organizations- -that serve a important purpose and corrupt them night not hard

more thunderstorms as we go into the afternoon time period. going to keep you updated once again the storm prediction center does have us in a slight risk for severe weather. temperatures right now, coming in at 69 in baltimore. and we should be at # 6, -- 66, 65 for this time of year and we are not looking at 70s. 6 # in joshing and -- 6 # inyork and -- 64 in york. and towards the eastern shore things looking good. hopping into delaware with the temperature around # 2 key -- 72 degrees. 4:38 and he is accused of killing yardley love -- yeardley love and they will be back in court. hing sentenced at the end of the month. hugeley's team asked a judge to delay the sentencing until at least october but that request was denied. hugeley from chevy chase will be sentenced on august 30th for second degree murder conviction. love was a member of the women's lacrosse team at the university of virginia. a community gathering to grieve and seek justice for

alex. a group showed up this happened in mount vernon where he was shot and killed and we heard this morning that two other women were robbed on monday night at the scene of those shootings. his mother was not the only person on a mission. she wants to keep her neighborhood safe. police joined that crowd hoping that their presence will encourage anyone who knows anything about the crime to speak up. >> take a look around. you have a lot of sets of eyes out here. we are hoping that somebody saw something that just didn't look right, somebody saw something that may have been suspicious and we are hoping they will be willing to pass the information on. >> he was shot to death friday morning as he sat outside the empire house on east chase street. leary peterson is in critical condition this morning. police have no motive but they believe a man and woman were involved in this those shootings. a major inconvenience to toll tl you about for -- tell

company blanked for the searching hole is drilling to investigate whether that's the cause. this is the wrong video right there. that's the story we will get to in a minute. this is happening in louisiana. and we heard about sink holes inour area but this is there too. >> we know them too well. texas joined a relief well to figure out what happened. that well is located in 2500 feet from the people around the srchg hole. this could make the -- sink hole. it could make the coverage collapse and it's coming out of louisean -- cavern collapse but it's coming out of louisean. a. people in reseda were ordered to evacuate where four wild fires move closer to the community. this video taken earlier tuesday morning showing the fire burning east of san diego just a few hours later it was closing in on homes. authorities had to issue mandatory evacuations. and order about 400 people who live there out of the

community. residents in the san if a lee pay -- felipe were ordered out as well. 16 airmen from the north carolina based unit of the air national guard are in california fighting the fires. the trip comes six weeks after four of the fellow airmen died in plane crash while fighting fires in south dakota. but members of the 145th airlift wing say they are ready for the new battle. the airmen will be in california through early september spraying fire retardant and water on the wild fires in the area. this list billy graham is out of the hospital. he was admitted for bronchitis a spokesman for the mission hospital says that he returned home after responding really well to all of his treatments. the 93-year-old had to be hospitalize for pneumonia twice but the hospital says he has been in good overall health ever since. that is scene last night. yeah, thunderstorms rolling through the area. we had heavy rain and thunder

and lightning. once again this is not video of that but this is a large plane probably handling the wild fires out in california. but the cars they got serious damage on the corner in loch raven. >> we will show you that video later on. but we are going to talk to you about the weather because that's a huge story and when the weather is is a big issue so is traffic. >> reporter: it was hard to fall asleep last night. the lightning was? spectacular. >> reporter: it was. >> it was bad. and we had the lightning and tornado warning and we had severe thunderstorm warnings with large hail and damaging winds. we ran the gamut last night for sure. and unfortunately, i can't say that it's all over for today because once again, we do have the storm prediction center telling us that while we are in a slight risk for severe weather, it will be as we go into the afternoon evening time frame. but we are waiting for the cold front to pass the area. and the warm front did the damage yesterday waiting for the cold front and until the cold front passes we do have that chance. right now, you are stepping out and about this morning.

you are dry and don't necessarily need the rain gear, but i suggest you take it just in case you can't get back home this is what you will deal with. we have future trend. there's the cold front as we go through time here. this will begin to slide its way off toward the east. and once it does that, that's when we will have the drier air behind it. so we are going to be feeling pretty good especially as we head to the weekend. we are looking pretty good as another cold front will approach and bring in that cooler air. so i am talking about temperatures in the low 80s heading through the weekend. nice looking weekend for you but we have a chance for showers in the forecast as well. i will show you that in a second. this is what future trend looks like. things look pretty good in the morning but by two we have a chance for showers looks like it could be coming along the eastern shore in southern maryland more of that. and babcally that's where the storm threat is for today. heading into thursday, gorgeous day. get out and enjoy it. we will see low humidity and plenty of sunshine in the forecast. and then as we head into friday, that's when the next

chance for showers and storms work their way into the picture. you can see another chance for the showers to come in here as we go into the evening time frame. this is what we are looking like hour by hour for today. starting out at 6 and we have a little patchy fog out there because of all that moisture that we are working with. going into 9 the temperature coming in at 78 degrees and we will be warm and a few showers possible by lunchtime and an isolated shower or tomorrow by 3 with the temperature coming in at 87. and this is what it looks like for the seven-day forecast. 87 is what i am going with today. nice and dry and beautiful conditions by thursday and there's the chance for a late day storm going into friday. saturday, a few early morning showers and then things lo nice as we go into sunday and then monday and tuesday, we will bring back the chance for showers but look at temperatures. the big story. low 80s. let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. >> reporter: good morning. good news in howard county where a car fire cleared and the delays dismated. using interstate 70, no problems to report from
