morning, you're nice and dry with the temperature coming in at 74. let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. >> reporter: good morning. we are dealing with a crash in west baltimore on frederick avenue at north hilton street. watch south pour -- out for that. using 95 into the city this is what it looks like at 395. notice traffic will be picking up in the area but this is the way to go. definitely stick with the fort mchenry tunnel because there's construction underway out on 895. so, expect delays in that vicinity. as we pull up drive times, no problems to report traveling through the fort mchenry tunnel. 8 minutes northbound from the beltway to the toll plaza. and you are looking live at the west side of the beltway where you are looking at 13-minute ride from 795 down towards 95. and traffic is picking up in the outer loop from 95 up towards 83. that will take you 12 minutes. now over to you. it was a late night for maryland lawmakers as the special session wrapped up a few hours ago. >> and that your eu of course the debate -- issue of course

time for abc2 news to go. i am megan pringle. >> i am charley crowson. let's check it out with the check of the forecast. >> good morning. so let's look at the storm thatprompted the tornado warning last evening. it prompted it for baltimore and harford county. a nasty storm that moved through. things are drier as of now. this is what we looked like this morning. maryland's most powerful radar is dry. we are getting a break. a lot to clean up to do this morning and afternoon. we could be seeing more showers and thunderstorms possible. let's go outside and being see for yourself we are dealing with a few clouds but plenty of sunshine. we really don't want to see the sunshine if you don't want to see the thunderstorms. and as we go through the hour by hour, 74 this morning. lunchtime coming in at 80 with a chance of showers and storms and that continues as we head to midday. 85 degrees.

let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. >> reporter: good morning. we are dealing with a crash in west baltimore. it's going to be right on frederick avenue at hilton street. something you want to watch out for. heading out to the beltway this is what the west side looks like at liberty road. inner loop find and outer loop sluggish make the drive towards route 40. overlea at bel air no problems on inner loop towards 59 but outer loon is the -- outer loop is the main problem with the congestion continuing through providence road. repairs are underway to fick fix a water -- fix a water main break. around 10 last night we captured this. frederick sative shut down. that's going to be -- does remain shut down. we did speak with dispatchers who say the break is 10 inches and there's no word when it will be fixed. something you want to watch out for again traveling in west baltimore. megan and charley. over to you. the storms hit last night

caught a number of people bysurprise. water rising quickly in some places and drivers were rescued from the cars. >> linda so is live this morning at rodgers forge and how are things looking right now? >> reporter: they look great. the sun is coming out and the lights are back on at most intersections this one at balona and stevenson was out until 4 this morning. bge reports over 3,000 power outages right now. they put a accident in the -- dent in the number of power outages. last night when the rain came down, it came down fast and hard and led to swift water rescues. a woman had to be rescued from her car as the water came up to a wind -- the windows. rescue crews mashed the back windows. the woman was the only one in the car. and aaron's brother grab the woman and pulled her to safety. >> the raid i -- lady was stuck

your cell phones and ipads to keep better informed. many in mount vernon want justice for the man who shot and killed a baltimore city person in that neighborhood last friday. two women were robed monday night at the scene of the shootings where alex ulrich was shot to death. police joined mourners during a vigil last night hoping the presence would encourage anyone who knows anything about the crimes to come forward. ulrich's mother says she is on a mission to keep the neighborhood safe. >> take a look around. you've got a lot of sets of eyes out here. we are hoping that somebody saw something that didn't look right, somebody saw something that may have been suspicious. and we are hoping they will be willing to pass the information on. >> larry peterson was shot and is in pretty bad shape. police say that they have no motive but believe a man and woman they were involved in the shootings. in other news the former uva lacrosse player accused of killing his ex-girlfriend is sentenced at the end of the
