overnight in dallas, texas, planes were praying insecticide, trying to stop the spread of west nile. so far, 17 people confirmed dead. , 17 alone in the lone star state. this ised third time the city of dallas has tried to stop by the virus by using sprays. at first, adhnt plan to do it at all because they didn't see a benefit in it. but after the number of cases increased, the mayor decided to go ahead with those sprayings. it's hard to believe that we're talking about this.

houston opens today. we continue to follow up on a huge truck explosion. one person is dead. this happened on 95, and it is causing some delays it this morning. let's go right to chairly. he has the latest. >> reporter: we have you covered online and on air. not a lot of information now. here is what we know. an accident happened around # 1:00 last night in the northbound lane of 95, which is still closed. here what it looked like minutes after this crash, dozens of police car and fire trucks circling that truck carrying lumber. we're told the truck crashed into a wall and exploded. the driver of that truck did not survive. 95 northbound has been shutdown while the southbound lanes remain open, but things are at a crawl. not yet clear what killed the
