hi, everybody. i'm beth troutman. welcome to "right this minute." we have videos first. a massive wildfire spawns a rare phenomenon. >> you see that right in the middle of the screen? >> find out what's behind the column of danger. >> that's awesome. a driver becomes the poster child for cars behaving badly. one little problem -- >> it's not his car. >> how he drove this one right into the ground. >> you've got hungry lions, raw

4:32 pm
>> all of this creates this fire whirl which is almost never caught on camera. >> does it cause any kind of damage? >> they have what's known as spotting ability which means they can propagate the fire. they can uproot trees up to 50 feet tall. see that in the middle of your screen? >> it's a tree. >> wow! >> can you imagine, those things are incredibly rare and these people were able to capture that. it's a phenomenon. >> that's what happened when it spins like that, and that sucks big things up. >> that gives me new respect for firefighters that go into these rough terrains. >> 2100 firefighters and 11 helicopters have been fighting the fire that has taken over 24,000 acres of land. >> it's like the combination of two very scary elements. extreme winds that can uproot trees and then just a gigantic fire.
4:33 pm
this is an internet site and dvd series that shows cars behaving badly. when the driver of this blue corvette heard about mischief tv putting together a compilation of cool car stuff, he wanted to be in the video. so he gets the guys out to follow him around. in this whole 12 minutes of footage, the corvette does several rather dangerous moves. at one point they get into a nice, curvy road. they're getting some great footage but the driver isn't as experienced as maybe he should be. >> ouch! >> oh, no. >> the guy got what he wanted. he's on the tv show. he ruined his car. >> make sure he's okay. >> it's not his car. the driver of the corvette works for an exotic car dealership in maryland. the guy reportedly was not fired for this incident. >> the sad thing about this story is the corvette died in
4:34 pm
this. >> a corvette died. >> the sad part about this story is that he put other people in danger because this is a public road and there were other cars that were driving. >> you want to know something else? the same thing happened a few weeks later, same guy, same dealership, totalled out a viper. >> it must be nice to work for your dad. >> drive your car like an animal, we'll come film it. >> and the guys at mischief tv tell us they frequently get busted by the cops. sometimes they get in trouble. sometimes the cops say, well, all right, take a hike. >> [ bleep ]. what can happen [ bleep ]. >> once again firefighters are called in to save a really cute dog. this dog happens to be peanut. and you'll be interested to see why she was caught in a bench. >> peanut is in a bench so now
4:35 pm
the firefighters are here. >> peanut was brought to this park because these two people are shooting a documentary for a film festival and they said let's puteanut in it because that will let everybody feel got stuck in the bench. >> like a doggy prison. >> like the stocks in new england. >> do you guys get ridiculous things like this a lot? >> this is my first dog trapped in a park bench. >> so they made quick work of it and rescued peanut. >> i'm glad to see she wasn't in any pain. you might want to try this tactic. it might be a good way to meet a couple boys in blue. >> the problem is you guys would be doing this to me on this show if that happens. >> we would definitely film that. >> oh, yeah. >> that would be a best of rtm or maybe number one on friday. >> or how dumb is she? let's see. >> and i have a feeling you
4:36 pm
wouldn't look as cute as peanut. >> i think you would look even cuter. >> i said it because i think it would be all hilarious, it would just be funny that gayle was stuck in a bench. >> you just called me ugly. >> oh, my god, no, i didn't. >> i'm being called not as cute as a puppy. >> no. you are very cute. >> you are cold. >> how did this get so bad. i meant to say that peanut is one hell of a cute -- i'm just going to stop talking. when it's your lucky day, it's your lucky day. i feel like this guy should go home and play the lottery. it looks like he's walking out of a store, walking along, texting somebody. >> that's one thing you shouldn't do. >> watch what happens next. >> oh! >> some advertisement, some sign
4:37 pm
falls out of nowhere, just feet from where this guy just was walking. that thing would have caused some serious damage if it came down on his head. >> that would have sliced him in half. >> a lot of the commenters are saying this is like a final destination thing and it's real, but in final destination the sign falls on you and you're dead. this guy escaped the final destination chain. he looks back and is what the heck was that? >> it's even more eerie because he has some pep in his step. he's having a really fun walk down the street and all of a sudden, boom, you almost died. >> if you would have stopped for one second to finish his text and then keep going, boom! maybe the moral of the story is text and walk, because if you don't, a sign might fall on your head.
4:38 pm
what happens on live news, well, ends up on the internet like this dude. >> did he just faint? >> well explain what happened and why an anchor said this. >> maybe we can kanoodle before you get into. >> it her reaction is great. and it's a rescue of some little ducklings who got washed away. >> the dead beat duck moms keep rolling in. >> see what

4:43 pm
meat. >> that looks delicious. >> i'm not sure exactly what kind of cut that is. but another lion comes over and said give me that, and the fight is on. they roll around for a while and then they remain in this weird, still, motionless tug of war for quite a long time. it takes at least two minutes before somebody says maybe we can share. if i just take this part, it's on again. >> does anybody else find it slightly scary that it appears the cameraman is in the pen with the fighting lions? >> they didn't want anything to do with the camera guy. it was that juicy piece of -- >> eventually the scene changes to we've got this hanging piece of meat from a tree here. it looks like maybe the male, the dominant lion in this pride is getting first dibs on this, but the other two were like we want some of that too, we're trying to eat, and the fight is on again. eventually, okay, this lion is
4:44 pm
like, all right, how can i get this thing down. you see this other piece of meat that no one is paying attention to? watch this. >> oh! >> the scene switches again to another food fight here among these lions. now, it looks like there's two pieces of meat there and two lions. while these two are fighting, that one over there has stolen it. >> that is strategy. when you see two lions fighting over food, creep up, wait till they're distracted, get in, grab the meat and get out quick. >> this old guy tv weatherman is base jumping, really. i thought maybe he base jumped from his recliner. >> oh, that is mean! >> see why he's taking the leap next. >> you've got a boot on your car? here's a solution. cut it off. >> i like this guy rocking the saw with flip-flops and gold chains. >> see what happens next, on
