6:16 pm
we will have the bright sun throughout the afternoon. now gearing up for down down. the weather the will hold up nicely for the game. 84 right now. upper 70's by the last proper -- bottom part of the -- not bottom but the last part of the 4th quarter. mixes up, watching to much orioles this year. sun on tap today that. was the story and there we go. the bottom of the 4th quarter. this doesn't sound right. end of the 4th quarter may be in the 70s. today was a beautiful day. what a day for the midshipmen to be out doing sailing. belaire, great blue skies, few puffy clouds at times, absolutely no precipitation. dry at the beach. i wish i could say this will hold up. chance for hit and miss showers in ocean city. up through the delaware beaches. hit and miss showers will be possible. better chance for the south but we will have to keep that in.
6:17 pm
temperature wise state wise. 70s to 80s. always a little cooler and mido's. because of the humidity feels more like the upper 08's of heat index value and the mid to upper 80's right now. all right. here is the overall set up. with we have more humid conditions from baltimore south and east. bit a flow off the atlantic. unsettled weather along the immediate midatlantic coast especially south of virginia down into the carolina's. this will be the potential weather michener to the weekend here. developing coastal system off the carolina's. now the projection going to keep it just off shore and maybe we don't see any rain anywhere in maryland but we showers in because the movement of the system could come in close enough to spin showers into the eastern shore and especially the beaches, at least on the on and off basis. we aren't talking a heavy steady rain but hit and miss. mere is the trend.
6:18 pm
high pressure holds but then this coastal low and off the carolina's. some of the showers could wrap in to the beaches, wrap into the areas especially east of the bay. western maryland we will try to keep it warm and sunny. and for central maryland it's a crap shoot. eastern maryland more likely to see showers, isaac, churning and burning through the sea now moving south of the haiti area. in the next 12 hours overnight and then toward cuba. right now the projection below hurricane strength, it's not become a hurricane yet. you watch a lot of the national media and start to think panic is a good idea it's not. it's not been a hurricane and will likely not be one until it gets in to the florida straights early next week. by then it may be so far out it won't have a big impact. we will see. joyce also a named system that. one likely to only impact
6:19 pm
bermuda. that united states threat a long way off. tonight 64, partly cloudy with patchy late fog and tomorrow we will say 87, sun and clouds, late shower, possible south and east maryland. the lower eastern shore. seven day forecast we will keep the chance for a shower in there saturday and sunday. into early next week we dry it out and keep it sunny on monday. again, not a lot of rain around baltimore west this weekend but there could be showers for the eastern shore. kelley? >> in news around the nation today penn state's former president said he didn't kn that sandusky was a molester and he didn't protect him. he said he is the innocent victim of a witch hunt and wasn't correctly shown in the free report. a former fbi direct war as hired to investigate the standard and he claimed that the president and paterno and

6:26 pm
it's sheered a part a little. south of haiti. we will see what happens with it. here is the current projection from the national hurricane center. going to bring it up over cuba or probably weaken more and then strengthen to a category one off florida coast. this will mean probably rain and maybe some gusty winds for the republican convention but that will not be a major weather event if that track holds up. 72 late tonight. 60 when you wake up. the outlook, we throw in the chance for showers mainly to the east of the chesapeake. could see showers, especially on saturday, that is -- the outlook. the temperatures are a little cooler for the weekend. >> yeah. we will be back tonight at 11:00. jamie will be back from the game. we will see you at 11:00. thank you for joining us and have a great evening. >> go ravens even though it's pre-season. i know, it still counts. wççñçñ
