24 visitors at the minnesota state fair were left hanging, literally. it stalled for 45 minutes. it was the second time in two days, the ride stopped. fair officials said when the ride stopped yesterday it was a built-in safety precaution. they didn't explain why it stopped today. the operator had to manually climb it to fix it both times it stopped. the giant baby panda born at the san diego zoo received its first vet appearance. zoo veterinarians assessed the overall health of the cub. the one measurement they were able to get was weight. the baby panda weighed in at only one and a half pounds. tampa florida is set to host the grand old party next week, the latest on the the -- preps.
