>> we begin with severe weather tonight. flash flood alert in effect until 10:00 tonight. spreading across baltimore at the light rail station as well as setting at falls. meteorologist mike masco is tracking the severe weather for us. what do you have for us? >> it's a very active picture. this is our latest. if you look down south, there's a new tornado warning. this is out in dorchester county. we have to watch the storms forming down to the south and see how they respond to the atmosphere north. all of caroline county which was under tornado warning

earlier. for all at baltimore county and anne arundel county and that's up until 7:00 or 8:00. we have a lot of heavy rain across the area. strongest storms down towards the south and east and earlier again, we're talking that morning in queen annes. this is the storm is now moving towards north. take a look again, future scans showing the bans of rain showers coming in south and north. any storm that develops through the course of this evening, does have potential to producing flash flooding. flash flood watch for the entire viewing area. keep a watch on channel 2. very heavy rain on top of us now and then we will ship focus towards a developing storm that

you're in trouble. >> reporter: isaac was already in haiti. in cuba where the storm wreaked havoc. isaac is now tracking westward expected to become a hurricane when it crosses the florida keys this afternoon. when it hits the gulf coast it could be a category two storm. but it will be shorter as expecter of isaac spurs the gop to cancel monday's agenda. with up to a half a foot of rain, city officials and convention officials are concerned about the risk of flooding. abc news. close to the home, there was a big loss in canton tonight. owner of nacho mama's was served in the elvis presley chapel was killed in

>> reporter: in canton, abc 2 news. sunny is survived by his wife and two children ages 12 and 13. the latest tonight on a police involved shooting in south baltimore. police have released the name of the suspect tonight charges are pending against oba mitchiner. shooting happens friday night. the suspect was shot in the leg. the investigation continues tonight. customers picking up saturday night dinner at a northeast baltimore kfc. they were forced to the ground during an armed robbery. police arrived just after 7:00. the manager told police they've been robbed at gun point by two men who took undisclosed amount of cash. police say they took off on foot and they are still at large tonight. there's still much more ahead on abc 2 news at 6:30. if you kids seem to spend their

accurate forecast. >> let's get you to the watches and warnings. flash flood warning for mump -- much of the evening. over the eastern shore where we've been watching the heavy rain shower and even the tornado warning, you do have flash flood warning. anne arundel you have a flash flood warning. if you look down south, there's an active tornado warning down in dorchester county. we'll have to keep an eye on that. here is doppler radar, showing heavy bands of rain shower. you look south and east of baltimore, do you see some storms starting to get strong. we have to watch as it pushes north. there's that one storm of in queen anne. that is below the criteria. in terms what we're seeing on

radar now, right along the white marsh boulevard, you see some storms trying to fire up, moving toward elk and these storms could produce lightning. keep an eye on sky and keep an eye on abc 2 news in the storms do test limit. we do have a flash flood. there's the shot crowds and again very cloudy damp dismal shot 70 degrees in the city. humidity way up there 93%. 70 across the board. little area of low pressure is producing all bands of rain showers and storm. this is going to be a wet night going into tomorrow. that'll start to bust down

humidity. little saltered showers and we're in the 70s tomorrow morning. lower to middle 80s with a chance of showers and storms at any point after 1:00 tomorrow afternoon. that threat lingering into tomorrow evening as that front passes. by tuesday, could be into the middle 80s. let's get to tropics, here is isaac, now starting to look a little bit better organized on our satellite radar. this is radar break down in key west. center of this storm is getting better organize. this could become a hurricane over the next 24 to 36 hours. it may be close to a category two-three level as it moves between new orleans and mobile

and biloxi. muggy is return by wednesday going into next week. last night was a much better night for viking. they call it 24 hour of booty. biking nonstop hundreds of bikers take to the streets of columbia to raise money for cancer research . >> it transform -- transformed into a event. >> it was a great event this year. about 400 bikers. they raised more than $450,000 and all the money will be spent between allman cancer fund for young adults.

u.s.a. it's mainly because unfortunately in maryland we tend to crash into each other more often than we do elsewhere. the accident rate here in maryland is higher. >> of course, you got the big cities and a lot of commuters between baltimore and d.c., there are bound to be more accidents that makes sense. >> exactly, lot of commuting time. people in maryland commute longer to work than anyone else in the u.s.a. when we do tend to have accidents, we tend to bump into each other. >> when you are shopping for auto insurance, can you give me some tips on how to save money? >> yes, i can say for anybody is to shop. shopping itself will save you a lot of money. i think it's true you can save money when you shop. the statistics that people put up save these hundreds of dollars, it is actually true.
