building injuring 17-year-old daniel borowy. he was shot in the lower back. a team of counselors is on hand for students and staff if they need to talk to get through the traumatic event. we have been told by school officials that today they will scale back that team of counselors but there will be some available for student that need to talk. this morning, i spoke with the nursing supervisor at shock trauma and daniel is reported to be in critical condition at this hour. now 15-year-old robert gladden june juror is charged with attempted first -- junior is charged with attempted first- degree murder. he was known as bobby g and he took a double barrel shotgun to school along with the weapon police say he brought 21, 16 gauge shells and bottle of sod can i which he took several sips from leaking up to the incident but he was not intoxicated. during lunch someone threw something near his table and he set the plan in motion. >> he probably didn't tell anybody what was going on and probably didn't have the

courage to got principal's office and say i aming bullied by this kid and this kid and it kept adding up and he finally snapped. >> this case there are no evidence that at this point in the investigation to say that bullying was a factor in this. >> reporter: now gladden is undergoing a mental evaluation at a local hospital. in the meantime, students here at perry hall high school have started this campaign on twitter to encourage lady gaga to come here to visit. reporting live here in perry hall, sherrie johnson, abc2 news. and the family of a murdered 20-year-old gathered in catonsville to remember the life of jessica lee. she was from brooklyn park. earlier this month the 20-year- old's remains were found in anne arundel county behind a outlet. family members says she left in may and they have been looking for her since expecting one day she would come home and never thought she would turn up dead. there's been no arrest so far. >> it's still an open book. it's not closed.

wrenching. kids feeling so tormented some take their lives and this week some student at perry hall high school say the accused shooter was bullied himself so what can we do about this? megan has a guest right now who knows all about the problem. megan. >> thanks. he is with the maryland department of education kind enough to come in this early. thanks for coming. >> thanks for having me. >> we are hearing about cases more and more or are we talking about it more and more? >> we are seeing an increase in cases. maryland participated in the youth risk behavior surveys since 2005 and that's part of the centers for disease control survey system measuring attitude and behaviors that students from grade 9 through 12 have issues about mortality and morbidity and one of the factors is thatth whole topic of bullying. in the last year that we had the survey, it's given every two years at the high school

level, we had students grades 9 through 12 participated so that 21% said that they had been bullied on school property. now that figure is down a bit from 2005 when we first started the survey in here in maryland which was the figure was around 28% that they had been bullied on school property. >> i think most us have felt bullied. so when we hear about teens committing suicide or acting out in violent ways because they feel like they are a target ofbullying it's hard to understand but the bullying is harder to escape for teens because it's facebook and social media. >> absolutely. when i was -- i am a person if you were bullied you could go home and escape it pretty much and you had the time free for yourself. but our children and youth today it's hard for them to escape it because with the social media, with electronic communication devices, you know, they have a lot more data

prix is about to kick off. more roads soon to be closed. linda so is live downtown letting us know how it will affect the morning commute. linda, some people will be very unhappy. >> reporter: yeah. overnight they had to deal with some road closures to install the gates. we are at charles and pratt street. it says narrow lanes but that's not the only thing people will worry about. starting tonight actually last night they closed some of the road overnight so they can get the final preps ready and starting tomorrow, the lanes -- the road along the racetrack will be closed throughout the day. now we are in the final phase of construction before the grand prix. last night, gates were installed closing charles street between pratt and lombard and between conway and lee streets. those roads will close again tonight for more -- so more dates can be installed. and starting on thursday, all roads along the racetrack will be closed throughout the day through labor day weekend. they will only reopen at night. now the other roads that are
