at 795-695 split. that will take you down into the baltimore national pike. so a lot of congestion this morning. we will pop up a speed sensor clocking 21-mile-per-hour speeds past the site. so delays will continue again. that's mostly on the west side of the city limits. outside we go. let's look at cameras and we will show you a lot of action. this is just north of maryland 100. this is 95. a lot of volume on the road right now on 95 north at maryland 100. and then we have, well a. decent amount of volume but normal for this time of the hour and this time of the day 95 at 359 showing volume. here's -- 395 showing volume. 695 downtown will take 15 minutes. 6:32. it changed the first day of school forever at perry hall high school. and this morning a 15-year-old is in jail without bail charged with first degree attempted murder and assault. sherrie johnson is live at perry hall high school and i can't imagine that it was easy

for parents to let their kids head back to school. >> reporter: at 7:30 a.m. students will head back inside the school after one of their open opened fire injuring 17- year-old danielle borowy. he was shot in the lower back on monday. a team of counselors on hand have been scaled back but teach -- stew enters can talk to someone if they need to. they morning i talked to the nursing supervisor at shock trauma about daniel's condition and she tells me he is in critical condition. 15-year-old robert gladden junior is charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder and assault. he was known as bobby g and police say he took a double barrel shotgun to the school in a book back on his school bus. along with the weapon, police say he brought 21, 16 gauge shells and bottle of the vodka which he took several sips from leading up to the incident but

was not intoxicated. someone threw something near the table and he is the the plan in motion. >> our thoughts and prayers are with danny borowy and his family. it's comfort be to know that danny is under -- comforting to know that danny is under the fine care of doctors and nurses at one of the superior shock trauma centers in the world. >> reporter: gladden is undergoing a mental evaluation at a local hospital. students at the school have a huge push on twitter to encourage lady gaga to come here and visit. it appears that daniel is a huge lady gaga fan and it would be something to lift his spirits. reporting live in perry hall, sherrie johnson, abc2 news. 6:34. we have breaking news out of baltimore county. one person has been shot in a police-involved shooting in arbutus. this is a map of the area. early this morning, police were called to the beltway motel on washington boulevard for reports of someone firing a rifle out of the window.

right now it's unclear what led to the shooting between the victim and police. right now, we don't note name or the condition of the person so stay with abc2 news and abc2news.com for further details. those living in a baltimore community got a chance to meet with the new police community. he joined a citizens on patrol walk and talked with the men and women who were out there on the front lines. >> i saw a lot of positives and stopped and talked to a number of police officers. i was impressed. they didn't know who i was. so i was impressed with the interaction and things they told me about the city and the pride they had in the city. >> batts wasland california. if confirmed he will take over the department on september 27th. this is one of the crimes that's really hard to believe. a 4-year-old boy robbed of one of his most prized positions and knocked to the ground as his sister watched in disbelief. at the age of 1, this little

boy received a gold chain for his baptism and wore it every day until it was taken from him. it happened outside a laundry mat near los angeles. the boy's mother says inshe had she was washing clothes and he stepped out for moment with his sister. a man approached pulled the chain and just started running. the boy's mother hopes there can be a lesson to other parents. >> sometimes you are busy doing stuff but keep an eye on them. because things happen and all of a sudden. >> the boy is okay but his face is scratched up from the incident. police looking for the person who did think the. check out this video of a california news helicopter that made an emergency landing on a empty park lot kt-la5 chopper covered a new story about a reported gunman when the pilot noticed smoke pouring out there. it was a cracked engine that caused a an oil leak. no one was injured. quick thinking on the part of the pilot. 6:36. isn't it supposed to be order in the courtroom.

thanks for staying with us. a murder suspect and victim's family can be a recipe for tension. >> that was the case in this courtroom. in fact, the tension turned into an all out brawl. look at this. this is taking place in indiana. now it involves a deadly shooting that happened outside a bar. one person was killed and two people injured. supporters for both the victim and the alleged killer went at it at the courtroom. >> the accused shoot are appeared via tell conference for the first hearing. when the hearing end that's when the fight began sweeping in the courthouse ending up on the front lawn. police separated supporters of the victim from the supporters

head into lunchtime today. we will be nice and comfortable with lots of sunshine on tap. let's check the abc2 timesaver traffic with mike masco. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. it's all about 695 right now. that's the biggest issue we have. it's several mile backup. earlier crash cleared but the damage is done. this starts at the baltimore national pike and goes towards north -- look at speed sensor showing 21 miles an hour and towards the north right around the 795, 695 split. this speed sensor is showing 34 miles per hour. so again, this backup, we can show you live shot at 695 at old court road, the traffic picking up. switching to the east and this is the 695 at bel air shot. starting to see some volume picking up. we will look at traffic coming up in less than 10. 6:46. we have breaking news coming out of baltimore county a person has been shot in a police-involved shooting. this happened in arbutus. around 3:30 this morning,

undergoing a mental evaluation at a local hospital. in the meantime, student at perry hall high school have a push on twitter to encourage laddie gaga to visit. daniel is a huge fan of lady gaga and they feel like it would be something to lift his spirits. reporting live, sherrie johnson, abc2 news. friends and family will gather to say final good-byes to a man who is beloved in the neighborhood and baltimore. many stopped by last night to pay respects to patrick mccusker. two viewings were in towson and the man who turned canton into a baltimore hot spot. a funeral mass will be at st. mary of our queens at 10:30 this morning. in honor of him, the bars and restaurants in canton square will donate money to believe in tomorrow, the foundation he was active in. now the bow cars will be at grand prix and have a tear in one eye and the owner of nacho mamma's was killed friday night in bike accident in ocean city. he was 49 years old.

it doesn't look like he is budging soon. there are worries it could dump up to 20 inch of rain in new orleans coming on the 7th anniversary of hurricane katrina. let's talk about hurricane isaac right now. yes, it's dumping heavy rain, 20 inches a possibility. this is going to be a slow mover as it moves inland. it made the second landfall earlier this morning and it's pushing off towards the west right now. but it will make that easternjog going through time and make its way towards us. we are dealing with storm srnlg across the area as well. up to a about 6 to 10 feet and it's going to be a challenge as we go through time. and also they will deal with some tornadoes as well. let's go out into orange beach in alabama where you are seeing plenty of rough seas right now. put it in motion and this is what they will garring to dealing with heading throughout the -- be dealing with heading

police got a call that a naked man with a rifle was shooting out of his window. police arrived and they responded and shots were fired. the man holding the rifle was shot. he was taken to a local hospital. we just got off the phone with baltimore county police, the corporal tells us the gunman is still alive but you can see detectives on the second floor have the area taped off. they are investigating what actually happened here. but what we do know is around 3:40 this morning a man was shooting a gun outside his window and police respond and shots were fired and the man was shot and taken to a local hospital and we are hearing he is alive. reporting live, linda so, abc2 news. more information on abc2 news. this little girl is amazing. her name is addison and she is getting people to send shoes to haiti because she noticed that the kids in the pictures that she saw at church didn't have any. now she is on a mission so far over 100 pairs being sent. >> tha check that storey --
