to end up on that note possibly yes there's a caveat in the forecast. i'll talk about that coming up but here's the hour by hour forecast for today. we will be seeing plenty 06 sunshine even -- of sunshine even through the morning hours, 9:00, 10:00, coming in at 65 degrees and by lunchtime today 77 degrees, a check now of the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. good morning. good morning lynette. and the orioles won last night. pretty awesome. it looks like a great forecast for the game this afternoon. so best of luck to them against the rays. the beltway there's no concerns from parkville all the way up to towson. looking at just an 11 minute ride on the outer loop from 95 all the way up to 83. and here's a live look at the harrisburg expressway up in hunt valley. no problems to report here at shawan road. it will be a very easy ride down to 695 and it will remain nice and clear as you do get on to the jfx. and you're taking a live look now at 95 downtown at 395. everything up to speed through the fort mchenry tunnel as well

as the harbor tunnel. megan over to you. back to class after a man was shot inside a building on campus. the shooting happened in a student center yesterday and witnesses say the victim was playing pool when he was shot. so far, they still haven't tracked down the gunman in the case but on "good morning maryland" at 5:00 we're going to have a live report from morgan state university this morning hearing reaction from students who are talking about the safety issues on campus that the shooting is now raising. the teen charged in the perry hall high school shooting, he's going to be back in court today. robert gladden has a bail review hearing that's scheduled for 9:30 this morning. he's being held without bond pending a mental evaluation. he's accused of bringing a gun to school and shooting and injuring outstunted. meantime a student in reisterstown being charged this morning. the 15-year-old had been in a time-out room when he told staff he had a weapon. he then said he was kidding. well, police were called to the

school and they took the teen into custody. forbush school now works with teenagers who have emotional and behavorial problems. that student the charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing school activities. u.s. investigators right now looking into what the deadly acrack on the -- attack on the u.s. embassy in libya may have been a coordinated assault on the anniversary of september 11th and not just a random act. ambassador chris stevens and three other americans were killed when a mob stormed the u.s. consulate and set it on fire. president barack obama says that the u.s. will work with the libyan government to find those who are responsible. >> we will not waiver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act and make no mistake justice will be done. >> marines are headed to libya to reinforce security while the pentagon right now moving two warships to the libyan coast. remember to stay with "good morning maryland" because this morning we're going to be

talking live with a former "baltimore sun" reporter who's now in chi rhee. her name is -- cairo. her name is nancy and she's been following the crisis in libya very closely and going to give us inside perspective about the consulate as well as the attack on the embassy. remember that it quickly became a household word that made us cringe. now the company is making up and filing their defamation lawsuit. beef products inc.. they are filing the suit today in the wake of the publicity storm over the meat product. grocery stores pulled the meat with the filler off the shelves and some schools stopped serving it. beef products say the bad publicity forced them to close plants and let hundreds of workers go. we're back on track for the worst ever season when it comes to west nile virus in decades. the second person has died because of west nile virus here in our state. and right now, maryland health officials are stepping up their efforts to stop the spread of

it because mosquitoes carry it. this morning abc2 news linda so is live in millford mills this morning and you're in an area they're going to be spraying later on correct? >> reporter: the spraying will happen at 7:30 tonight and stay inside for at least 30 minutes while this happens. this is the second time in two weeks that crews will be back out here in the millford mill area to spray for mosquitoes. the first spraying happened last week. it's all in response to a confirmed case of west nile virus in the area. state officials also confirm a second person has died from the west nile virus in maryland. so far, 25 cases have been reported in this state alone. the west nile virus is spread through mosquito bite sos the best thing you can do is to -- bites so the best thing you can do is stay inside when mosquitoes are most active. >> if you have to go out during dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active, wear long pants and long sleeves. use a repellent, a mosquito repellent. and then if you should become ill, up to two weeks after

into how the utility companies restored power and responded to following that storm and what could be done to improve their service in the future. a lot of people want to know that because that was such a frustrating time for homeowners. so you know, lynette i know we all remember that storm well. those days are history. >> yes, they're history and they're not in the forecast. that's definitely some good news, we have some wait weather but we are looking at calmer weather especially today. we're chilly this morning once again and look at hanover at 54 degrees. 57 bel air and 52 degrees now in michaelville. 61 in -- mitchellville. 61 in westminster. 66 degrees and also denton tillman though coming in at 65 degrees this morning. again you get the water off the bay, off the atlantic and still warm and that's what's influencing the warmer temperatures you're seeing. the satellite and radar not picking up on a lot this morning. just plenty of sunshine across the area once again it's going to prevail but this is what we have to deal with possibly tomorrow evening and then the

news around the nation this morning, the jobs of trimming grass and weeds, it's happening around airports it's no small task. and ground keepers now are keeping a little help at atlanta's airport. they have brought in the experts, sheep and goats. they're actually part of a test to see the animals can do a better job than man and the machine. so right now they're eating the brush where the wildlife live which basically cuts down on birds and deer darting out into the runways and causing accidents th planes. the sheep and the goats, they seem to be happy about it. and right now it looks like airport officials are pretty happy too. vermont's sports store right now banning pennies, the owner says they are going to start basically rounding change to the nearest nickel. this is in an effort for the customers' favor.

now those who shop there, they don't seem to mind at all. >> i don't really want the pennies anyway. they just kind of -- either jingle in my pocket and end up in the couch or the rug and i have to pick them up when the vacuum. >> the store owner says he thinks the u.s. should stop producing the coin. it costs the u.s. mint nearly 2.5 times more to produce the penny than it is actually worth. all right, beachgoers, they found nine civil war air canyon balls washed up near pensacola and explosives. this is with the disposal team they had brought in no check them out. the team determined they were safe after they looked inside. the metal shells and they found no explosives were there. they are now in the hands of the navy and experts believe that hurricane isaac may have actually helped push the cannon balls to shore. of course the hurricane did. a cool thing happening from there. >> exactly. >> and that penny story how about that?

>> it is amazing. lynette with weather now and isaac has been history and we have seen a lot of remnants happening from other storms too. >> we have tomorrow nadine on the -- tropical storm nadine on the verge of becoming a category 1 hurricane. the winds sustained at about 70 miles per hour right now. i'm going to show you the tropical storm in just a second but let's show you what you're dealing with this morning as you step out the door. be prepared and grab the jacket and you've been grabbing the jacket and sweater all week long. the temperature coming in at 55 degrees in aberdeen and 61 in annapolis and bladensburg around 57-degrees this morning. this is the setup for today at the surface we still do have high pressure that's going to be scooting off the coast as we go through time. and with that once we'll have some warmer temperatures in here. but pretty much seasonable and i'm forecasting a high today right around 82 and we should be at 80 degrees now for this time of the year. 80, 79. so this is what we're looking at. that cold front, yes, this is

going to be a player in the weather. now for tomorrow. not the weekend. we have a chance for some showers in here in the afternoon, evening time frame but just a slight chance of wet weather. tropical storm nadine looking pretty good. it is moving to the northwest at about 15 miles an hour and the forward momentum going pretty quickly. the good news with this storm is that once again, it's going to be staying away from the u.s.. but here's a forecast for today. going with that 82 degrees we'll get some more sunshine in here and maybe a few clouds throughout the day but plenty of sunshine to be had. 58 degrees for tonight. mostly clear and cool and 83 degrees is what i'm going with tomorrow. we have the chance for showers in the forecast but very slight and here's the seven day forecast for you as we will see sunshine now into saturday and sunday. but most importantly the o's game tonight, looking good. let's get a check now of the abc2 timesaver traffic with lauren cook. good morning. good morning lynette. 82-degree weather? can't complain with that. very nice day and the orioles are still number one. >> exactly. >> still in first place. >> go o's. >> yes, let's go o's. well, if you are hitting the
