past week, agents with the tsa allowed loaded guns through airport checkpoints. one was a loaded 38 and that gun went undetected by sceneers and a airport in new orleans. a new -- screeners in a airport in the new orleans. one day earlier in orlando agents missed another loaded gun belonging to a firefighter in her purse. it made it all the way to the plane. the tsa says they have had successes screeners confiscated 1100 weapons so far this year 29 were confiscated last week. as for the officer that let the person pull the gun through has been pulled from duty and more disciplinary action could be coming down the way. a teen has been hospitalize after an accident at a water park in california. a spokeswoman for the park says the 19 year old cut in line and

then dove headfirst down the venom drop slide at six flags hurricane harbor. halfway down he fell off the slide. it's not clear why he fell but the venom drop is 75 feet and it's a multiple tower slide. the teen was taken to the hospital where he was reportedly conscious and breathing on his own. a five alarm fire in illinois caused a warehouse to collapse. more than 200 fear fighters were called into the scene and they spent hours to put out the hot spots. fire was reported at 1:30 sunday morning and crews expected to remain on scene for a few more days to make sure the fire is out. the warehouse used to house a custom cabinet business. carmageddon -- failed to materialize. 10 miles of thes aboutiest highway opened hours ahead ofschedule a similar closure was last year because of the nightmare many people expected but it never happen happened.

might have to put your child in a booster seat like this one if they met the weight requirement before the law fobbing e-- took effect. starting today all kids under 8 have to ride in a car seat regardless of weight until they are 4 feet and 9 inches or taller. before the change, kids who weighed more than 65 pounds could forgo the car seat but according to the national highway traffic safety administration, car crashes are still the number one cause of death in the kids in the u.s. this new law is designed to cut down on that rate and to keep kids safe on the roads. now some of the other laws that take effect today the phylicia barnes law designed to improve how law enforcement and community groups work together what child disappears and requires state officials to publish a list of missing children also another law that takes effect today is it's officially illegal in maryland for your boss to ask you any log in information when it
