alarm fire now a two alarm one on fleet street putting local business owners on edge. that. and more at the news at six which starts right now. . police say a supervisor kidnapped a worker and demanded ransom all over an overpaid loan. how they were able to rescue the victim. >> usually a restaurant gets by word of mouth. now they will get graded. for being clean or dirty. >> and a huge drug bust, police get crack, marijuana, cocaine and thousands of dollars. we will tell you what helped them crack this case. >> things started off on the soggy side. rainy start for the skies but it's clearing out. >> will the sun stay in to the weekend? let's check in with wyatt with the first forecast.

good or bad news? >> i think it's good news for the next 48 hours at least. nice around here tomorrow. lue love it. the radar just a few showers blowing out to the north and east. we are looking at a dry situation for a couple of showers, light rain showers, temperatures now 73, townsend, edgewood 76, we have 75 in rock hall. clouds beginning to clear from west to east. clear, dryer air is going to arrive tonight. its going to feel good around here into tomorrow morning. no fog threat tomorrow. midday, sunny and 80. i wish i could say that holds up all weekend but it's octobero. we will talk about it coming up. >> hartford has made a big bust braking up what they way was one of the biggest drug rings they have seen. >> they seeds crack, marijuana, cocaine, they put more than a dozen people in jail. roosevelt is live with the

latest. >> reporter: the wire tap investigation spanned all the way to georgia as deputies tracked the movement and the escalation of violence in the county. this is just about a week's worth of drugs and cash that plowed through the hands of the hartford county gang called world's most dangerous. that's more than $100,000 in cash, four kilos of cocaine, two of crack and two of marijuana. the gang was responsible for a trail of guns and violence that stretch from the streets of edgewood to atlanta. they were able to catch them because they talked to much. >> listening to the conversations led us to their midlevel suppliers. from then they were able to get wire tap orders for them and continued that investigation which was more undercover work, sister surveillance we were able to identity the suppliers in go georgia. >> 13 people were arrested

here and are facing state charges. it also caught one of the most wanted men. who was wanted on drug charges. arrests were made after raids on streets. this all starts in december after a spike in drug violence led deputies to put several people under electronic surveillance. they say the investigation has shut them down. >> they want to bring in drugs to poison and kill hour children you are not welcome, we will find you. >> reporter: deputies say the investigation is not over. they are still getting information they hope could lead to more arrests. >> we have new information in the death of anthony anderson.

the results of their investigation will go straight to the state attorney who will decide if the state is a home sid, justified or unjustified. police first said he died after taking drugs while in custody but it was ruled he died of blunt force trauma a. >> baltimore city police shot a man in east baltimore. it happened in the 1500 block of eastlandville. police say officers responded to a call and when they arrived the suspect engaged them. >> one of the officers fired in defense and d. strike the suspect. the president ran up a block up the road. the activity was broadcast over the radio. others heard gun shots the first officer. the suspect was struck once in

the leg. officers recovered a hand gun from the scene. they are rewaiting to hear his name. >> you want to smell the bakery, not smoke. but this is what took two and a half hours to put this out. with the four alarm fire back in june not even a block away. people who live here are concerned. >> every time i hear a fire truck or fire alarm it gets me so scared. i think are these people okay, is anyone hurt. is the building going to collapse. i mean just so many things. >> the cause of the fire still under investigation. right now fire officials don't

suspect arson. >> would posted letter grades make a difference when you decide where to eat? that's what the city council wants to find out. they took comments on a bill. some owners don't like it. the council said they have heard from a lot of city people in and all but one have supported the plan. >> they feel like this is something that the city should have done a long time ago and i had a lot say we don't do that already? they embarrassed that baltimore is one of the only major cities where you can't go online and see inspection results for them or walk in and see the grade or a rating. >> he still would require the health department to post some of those inspections online. >> supervisor at a scrap metal business out in carroll thought a worker overpaid for a load. police say he then stepped over the line and committed several

crimes to try to get it back. the 29-year-old justin gormon faces charges after he kicked the worker out of a home they shared, drove him around at gun point, forcing him to call relatives to get what amounted to ransom money to make up for the mistake. they arranged a exchange. the victim's brother called police. >> family told the officers that the family member had been kidnapped and that a ransom demand had been made for $2,000. as officers were arriving at the location they saw the suspect vehicle drive away. additional officers responding were able to locate the vehicle on i-795 driving toward carroll. they stopped arrested the suspect, found the victim in the backseat and did recover a weapon from the car. >> he is being held at the detention center on $250,000 bond. >> at the university ever maryland college park they are

using an app to help stop crimes like that. anyone on campus with a smart phone can down load the panic app. if you feel like are you in danger you can hit a call buton that starts streaming audio and video to a police dispatcher. its been up and running since about february. military vets made their way back to mnt bank stadium. . members of all branches were invited. >> would you rather be lucky

nothing, we are getting lucky on staying dry. how is that? luck in the scheme clear sky, drying it out. the overall conditions now. 78 degrees. we are seeing improving weather. humidity starting to drop. winds are turning northwest and on the hole we are getting set up for beautiful weather to start off the weekend. to start it off. it'llnd much different from baltimore, sun breaking out for the second half of the afternoon. at least we start off cloudy, then, some sunshine breaking out too enthe heart of hartford and further south in annapolis, just always a beautiful shot down the river and sun coming later in the day. the further east you are, watching from the del marva. the clouds are just starting to break. clearing a west to east situation. winds from the northwest. dropping the midity and dropping the overall air temperatures. we will be down to 50. cool first thing out the door.

dryer air filtering in. hagerstown. as we look at the set up here, there is the dry line. frontal boundary starting to push out all the gloomy conditions, all the rain, of the last couple days and the fog set up we have had, the whole situation now being pushed out in to the atlantic. now that we are getting a good push behind that frontal boundary. check it out. the situation, humid air blowing off shore. dryer air. that will be the story over the next 24 hours, sunshine, even with the cooler start in the morning close to 80 degrees, lots of sun. beautiful by the time we get into saturday midday though, clouds may start to thicken up. front at boundary on the door. could spark a shower by saturday night and showers -- if things get unsettled in this big wedge of much cooler air making its presence felt sunday and even into columbus damon won't be a warm warm day. satellite radar pictures, there it is.

dry weather on the move for the next 48 hours at least. the tropics still active. always like to watch them even right through the month of november. especially early october. now we have the 15th named storm of the atlantic season, oscar but it's -- likely to stay out in the atlantic. 57, as we stay clear and look cooler. tomorrow 80 by late in the day. a rapid warm up. mostly sunny sykes, tomorrow night 58. here is the outlook in to the area. 80 friday and by sunday look at this. 56 degrees. that's it. showers on and off. kind of ugly day as the orioles come home to play that playoff game. does look like it won't be the most enjoyable weather but will be lightning free so that should be good for us. columbus day. sun, low 60s and into early next week you see a bit of a rebound but not quite in to the 80's. may get to 70 on wednesday. back to you. >> all right. it came down to last game of
