here is a live look in catonsville. a crash is cleared from the outer loop, expect delays, a 15 minute ride, on the outer loop from 795, down towards 95, no problems on the beltway from parkville up to towson, if you are traveling on the harris burg, no problems towards the beltway. to the jfx, a normal 11 minute ride, southbound from the beltway, downtown to east fayette street. that's a look at the time saver traffic, over to you. any mother wants their child to feel safe. that's exactly what angela dawson wanted and kept calling the police on neighborhood drug dealers. they set her house on fire, killing the entire family. ten years later, the same site is now a place of hope. that's where we find sherrie johnson, she joins us live at the dawson family safe haven

center. if you know anything about the section of east baltimore, that community has been trying hard to turn things around. >> they have. they are doing a goods job of it, too. we are here in east baltimore to honor the lives of the dawson family. an event kicks off tonight at 6:00. it's been ten years since they lost their lives. it was known as one of the worst tragedies. october 16th, 2002, the home of cornell and angela was fire bombed. they and their five children died in the fire. as a result of the deaths, neighbors, leaders and faith based groups worked together to build a monument to the dawsons here at 1401 east preston. that monument has become the dawson safe haven center for children and families. i have reggie with the housing

department and pam carter joining me, the director with the center, good morning, thank you for joining us. tell us about what is going through your mind ten years after the death of the dawsons. >> it's a great feeling for me today to be here, ten years after the tragedy that's occurred here. it gives me a warm feeling that we are able to keep the memory of the family alive and focuses on what we can continue to do in the future. >> tell us about what you are seeing, what you do to help the community. >> what we do is work with the children in the community, we have 45, 46 children come to us after they are dismissed. we work with them with school work to enhance what they are doing in school. we tutor them and me tore

years old. civil rights activist was a member of the house of delegates from 1963 to 67 and served in the senate from 67- 81. this is a story that is going to make you feel good about the community where you live. in particular, tow truck drivers, they lifted the spirits of a family following a fire that killed five. the call came out from knockout towing. they got a few dozen trucks to surround the northeast baltimore home where nancy died and her four grandchildren. they presented the donations to her daughter. the purpose is to help cover the funeral costs. >> without support, we would be lost. >> a lot of people get bad names for tow truck drivers. they are here to help. >> it turns out they said all of the victims will be buried together. it's going happen thursday. if you are interest insides helping out, we have

as a pastor, my support for question 6 is rooted in my belief that the government should treat everyone equally. i would not want someone denying my rights based upon their religious views, therefore i should not deny others based upon mine. it's about fairness. this law does not force any church to perform a same sex marriage if it's against their beliefs. and that's what this is about. protecting religious freedom and protecting all marylanders equally under the law. join me in voting for question 6.

the homicide unit. the coral arts society will dedicate the christmas concert to dr. peter, watch the concert here on abc 2 on christmas eve and christmas day. special event hop norring those who lost lifes to domestic violence and showing support. safety awareness resources is holding a vigil tonight at 6:00 at the frederick war pack at the armory. great news for the families of the men who disappeared on a hiking trip in montana. crews found them yesterday afternoon. the men were okay and able to walk on they own and reported missing after they never made a flight home. 50 people searched a rugged wintery area and used a team of dogs to help in the search. both families are elated.
