major problems for katz insurance. >> the breaking news we first brought you at 5:00. a school bus carrying children collided with a mini van sending 11 to the hospital. police said when paramedics arrived, the van was pinned against an apartment building. the driver of the fan and a person who was hit were hurt as well. all of the students' injuries are considered non-life-threatening. the cause of the crash is under investigation. an investigation to another breaking news story. owings mills high school was placed on lockdown after a student spotted a classmate with a gun. >> the students did exactly what they were supposed to do -- letting administrators know immediately. the school was placed on lockdown but only for minutes. one student contacted his parents saying there had been a

shooting. >> it was crazy because when everybody got out of the classroom, everybody was scattered everywhere trying to figure out what happened. >> once the school was put on lockdown, school officials called officers. the 17-year-old student was found with the gun after looking at school video. police said he was actually in the school's main office for another issue. the officers searched him, found the gun, arrested him, charged him with possession of a dangerous weapon. >> one day after their new school safety app was unveiled, an anne arundel student was also caught with a weapon at school. there was a call about a student showing a weapon to classmates. the school's resource officer found the student in the school cafeteria. he had a knife and pellet gun on him we he was arrest hood the

pellet gun was not loaded at the time. additionallally, there were no threats made. a methadone clinic in harford is facing a lawsuit. >> as jeff hager reports, the victim's family claims the driver had other drugs in their system. >> reporter: when investigators first looked at the crash on route 143, they learned the car had been driving 20 miles over the speed limit, crossed the center line and t boeing another car kelling -- kills another driver. the family is suing the meth lab for failing to test. >> you can directly link that back to the negligence act because they had the knowledge

that this person, this patient of theirs was one who would come into the clinic having taken other drugs. >> more worried about taking the money for the methadone than following procedures. >> reporter: it's been said you can't place a price on a person's life. al bers is serving time for her role in the crash. the lawsuit is asking for $20 million in damages from the mat clinic of belcamp. the family is also lobbies maryland lawmakers to make sure such a tragedy never happens again. >> there are other states whereby laws have changed that requirement actual clinic to drive their patients to and from the methadone clinic so they clan get there and back safely and so that they don't harm the

as a pastor, my support for question 6 is rooted in my belief that the government should treat everyone equally. i would not want someone denying my rights based upon their religious views, therefore i should not deny others based upon mine. it's about fairness. this law does not force any church to perform a same sex marriage if it's against their beliefs. and that's what this is about. protecting religious freedom and protecting all marylanders equally under the law. join me in voting for question 6.
