695. and if you're using 83, here's hunt valley at shawan road. no problems to report. nice and clear on to the jfx and head downtown. 695 in great shape. 11 minute ride right now normal ride on the outer loop from 95 up to 83. and also an 11 minute ride traveling the outer loop from 795 down towards 95. that's a look at your abc2 timesaver traffic. megan and charlie, over to you. in january, four people died in a car crash in anne arundel county. three of those killed were teens. today, the mother and brother of one of the teens head to court because they're accused of giving those minors alcohol. abc2 news sherrie johnson is here with more on the developing story. >> reporter: well, debbie and joshua franco are scheduled to be in district court this afternoon to face these accusations, they were given civil citations for providing alcohol to three teenagers killed in a car crash? january. that happened on interstate 97 and route 50.

several callers say the car was going the wrong way before that head-on collision. it killed breanna franco, 19- year-old brittany walker and 18- year-old zachary rose and the driver of the other car 55-year- old terry wayne davis. francos are accused of serving alcohol to minors at west drive at severna park just before the accident happened. both drivers were under the say. ence of alcohol police the francos' lawyer says the clients are innocent and he says the alcohol was flowing from places beyond the francos home. right now there's no law in place that has tougher penalties like jail time for adults who serve alcohol to pipe fors. the civil' -- minors. the civil citations carry no jail time but possibly as much as a $500 fine. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. worthy of death. those are not the words that you would expect to hear from a religious leader but this morning a randallstown pastor is getting some heat for what he said about same sex

marriage. it's an issue that you're going to be voting on in less than two weeks when you head to the polls here in our state. so abc2 news linda so is live in federal hill this morning and linda raising controversy from both sides of the issue. >> reporter: it's been a hot button issue here in maryland as you know. the pastor was caught on tape saying that people who engage in homosexual behavior are quote worthy of death and so are the people who support them. pastor robert anderson of the colonial baptist church in randallstown made the comment this month while quoting the bible. the head of the maryland marriage alliance an organization that opposes same sex marriage released a statemderson's was not a call t harm gays and lesbians. but supporters of same sex marriage say it borders on hate speech. >> those who practice such things are deserving of death.

today gbmc will hold another flu clinic. it's part of an emergency drill at the hospital. the drill is based on a recent report by johns hopkins which showed more than 150 hospital shootings from 2000 to 2011 including the one from johns hopkins back in 2010. you've looking at the video from that incident. news around the nation right now. cameras were rolling as a thief drops into a store through the roof. take a look at this it happened in houston, texas. suspect moved moved pretty quickly stuffinghe shorts with cell phones before heading back up the hole that he climbed out of. the store owner says that the burglar walked away with more than 40 smart phones. they go for about $650 each. let's take a look at this surveillance video out of kansas city, missouri where a man used is samurai sword to rob a church's chicken restaurant tuesday night. he was carrying the sword walking through the business and customers appeared a bit stunned by the man's actions but no one was hurt.

news time right now 5:44. two people are abducted and robbed within ten minutes of each other. this happened in baltimore city at roland park. the first victim was a 40-year- old woman walking to her car about 2:00 in the morning. this is on roland avenue. two men with a gun came up and they forced her into the car. the car is described as a

silver four door dodge stratus. the woman told detectives the men took her to an atm and then they released her. just ten minutes later police say they struck again. >> this 19-year-old victim was riding his bike on the 5500 block of roland aver. they struck with -- avenue. they struck this victim with their car. the victim fell off his bicycle. they then went up to him with the guise of making sure he was okay and then at that point they forced him into their vehicle. >> he was robbed and eventually dropped off as well. the number of officers in the area has increased if you have any information on these abductions police would like to hear from you. there's no doubt about it if you're a parent opportunity best when it comes to -- you want the best when it comes to keeping your child safe. that includes the car seat you use. new numbers are out today showing manufacturers are making great sides in designing -- strides in designing booster seats that help keep your kids safe. charlie, what should parents

look out for? >> you have to be careful with this and you have to keep in mind megan, this is doubly important in maryland. because those new laws went into effect regarding child safety seats. so inspectors say the first factor you must consider is how the seat belt fits over your child. that's according to insurance institute for highway safety. the group was released is recent survey. of the 17 models made in 2012, 15 received a top rating of best bet. the most ever since the iihs first began ranking them in 2008. so how does the seat get a best bet and make it on the list? the group looks to make sure the seat belts lie flat over your child's thighs and don't ride up to their stomachs. the shoulder belt should fit snugly and not slide off. new law took effect here in maryland in october. on october 1st to be specific that requires kids under 8 years old ride in a booster seat unless they're over the

next week. so we can see hurricane sandy right now. it has weakened some moving over land but it is about to reemerge back into the waters already bringing rainfall across southeastern florida. this track will take it up towards the north and then it will have more of a little bit of a jog towards the west. and we can see this so let me show you what's going on right now. the winds sustained at about 105 miles an hour moving quickly to the north 59 about 16 miles per hour -- at about 16 miles per hour. look at the cone now. now the national hurricane center actually thinking this could still be a category 1 hurricane. we were thinking a tropical storm as it moved along the coast. and then look at the cone now. the cone actually takes it you can see the coast of new jersey and also maryland. so ocean city could be in on this so we're definitely going to keep our eyes peeled. we can see the models coming from from time to time. we're going to see if there's a consistency there. as we look at what's going to be happening with the cold air it will come together with

thanks for staying with us, a bond between a person and their dog is like no other. it's a special understanding you can't always get with human relationships. >> that's absolutely the truth and that's why a marine is going to really great lepts to reunite with a dog that he befriended while he was serving in afghanistan. you see, shawn is from virginia. and he first met bolt while he was driving to the base. he started feeding the dog and looking after him. well pretty soon the two became inseparable. until shawn had to come back home. he found an organization that rescues abandoned animals in afghanistan and they raised the money needed to bring bolt to the united states. >> i can't wait to see him you know. it broke my heart when they took him away. >> he will have to wait another two weeks before he can be reunited with bolt. is dog is in began attorney and -- the dog is in quarantine and getting his strength up to make the trip around the world to be reunited with his best friend.
