the weather fits our mood, doesn't it? drizzling all day long, clouds hanging low. mike is going to fix the weather for us. it's going to take a lot of duct tape and glue. >> it's going to be a late night. visibilities have been down all weekend long. visibility low. what does that mean? we have some dense fog out there. that will be with us through the course of tonight. radar, pretty clear over to the west. a few spotty showers down to the south. a warm front south of the city

that will lift north. notice the temperatures are starting to bump up tonight heading into tomorrow. 46 goes straight to 47 around midnight. a lot of showers out there. big, dramatic changes in the 7- day. at 4:30 i felt sick losing back to back sundays for the steelers and the redskins. at 6:30, a little better. still heading to the play offs. >> reporter: at dela rosas, trying to come to grips with the second loss, this one in overtime. the battle of the beltway just not working out with baltimore

losing 31-28. we want to show you inside de la rosas. a crowd of ravens fans throwing back drinks and shaking their heads trying to drain the memory of that loss there. it all came down to the last few minutes with the redskins backup qb. he had that crucial touchdown in the last couple of seconds, then they tied it up and they left it in the hands of washington's kicker. they have a couple of pittsburgh fans in here. they let them in on rare occasion. they said it was absolutely silent in here. they knew better than to cheer against the ravens. they actually brought in the enemy just a moment ago. you are the only redskins fan in here. why did they even let you in? >> you see how bitter they are. shows you the true colors of

for the second straight sunday, the nfl is dealing with trouble off the field. this one involving the dallas cowboys. abc 2 news has the story of a deadly car accident. >> reporter: police say dallas cowboys player josh brent was speeding down this road just after 2:00 a.m. saturday when his car crashed, flipped, and caught fire. in the passenger seat? his teammate jerry brown. >> when our officers arrived on scene, mr. brent was dragging mr. brown from the vehicle. >> reporter: brent was given and failed field sobriety tests. brown was rushed to a hospital where he died. >> once our officers learned that mr. brown had passed away, then mr. brent was under arrest for intoxication manslaughter. >> this was like losing a little brother. >> reporter: it's not the first time he's been charged with drinking and driving. he was arrested in college and sentenced to 60 days from

behind bars. he released a statement overnight saying i will live with this horrific and tragic loss every day for the rest of my life. it has been a tragic week for the nfl. last saturday, javon belcher murdered his girlfriend, then killed himself leaving his infant daughter or fanned. just hours earlier, police talked to belcher found passed out in his car. >> how are we doing tonight, man? >> reporter: he has been drinking. since he wasn't driving, police cut him a break. >> all right, man. >> i do appreciate it. >> reporter: with no way of knowing what he was about to do. we have an off duty police officer shot around 3:30 this morning. he said he saw a large crowd blocking the street near dale and danville road. he asked them to move when somebody came out of the crowd and shot several times.

he's expected to make a full recovery. county police are also investigating a 19-year-old shot on kingston road in middle river. the teen was shot in the upper body, taken to the hospital where he's expected to make it. elijah owens was killed saturday night trying to cross at west street. at the time of the collision, it was raining heavily and he was wearing dark clothing. she was not in a crosswalk and there's no evidence the driver was speeding. we're going to take you across the pond tonight to give you the latest on the royal baby. how the duchess is feeling and the fall out from that now deadly radio stunt. how about the fog and clouds out there? it's going to be an ugly- looking night tonight. it's a raging blizzard to the north. there's dramatic swings in the 7-day. i'll share that with you coming

prince william and his wife kate are spending the evening in private as she recovers from severe nausea. >> reporter: prince william canceled a public appearance sunday night to be at his wife kate's side. on saturday he appeared without her as the duchess recovers at home after hospitalization for extreme morning sickness. the apparent suicide of a nurse on duty at the hospital when kate was a patient. >> when is a good time to come and visit her? because i'm the queen. >> reporter: it's the call heard around the world. >> we were expecting to be hung up on. >> reporter: they placed a prank phone call to the hospital pretending to be queen

elizabeth and prince charles. the nurse put them through to kate's room and they were given personal details of her medical condition. the embarrassment seems to have driven the nurse to suicide. on facebook, her grieving husband said i am devastated with the tragic loss of my beloved wife in tragic circumstances. and from her 14-year-old daughter -- i miss you, i love you. the two dee jays have been suspended but not fired. they are in seclusion and said to be seeking counseling. their station boss says they broke no law. >> we are very confident we haven't done anything illegal. >> reporter: these australians seem puzzled by all the fuss. >> i think it's a very dry sense of humor and it was just meant as a joke. >> they didn't mean to hurt anybody. >> reporter: authorities are investigating if a crime was committed. all about the fog out there

today. how uh about annapolis. here's a little time lapse. not bad. a raw feel, a drizzle pocket came through. notice again the low clouds out there today. and again that will be the case through much of this evening. cecil county, you're dealing with the fog. and i guess this is our shot downtown in baltimore. i don't know. looks like the lens is closing in. 97% humidity. a lot of moisture in the atmosphere. so that is allowing for the fog out there. the easterly wind at about 9. 50 in town. you notice down to the south in charlotte charlottesville 50-51 degrees. on now at 50 degrees. the temperatures will stay

pretty steady through the course of tonight and we'll start to warm into the morning. the visibility at the airport 1.8, ideal being 10. the area roadways are dealing with a little fog. that could turn into dense fog tonight. there's a band of showers working over the southern portion of the state. that will clip queen ann's county over the course of the evening. we'll keep the scattered showers in the forecast. the heaviest pocket of showers, by the way, just outside of d.c. that will roll into glenn berney through the course of the evening. 47 around 11:00 p.m. 50 degrees to wake up. 60 at lunchtime. it's going to feel like a pretty good day, but not the best-looking day. stationary front on top of us will turn into a warm front. again, all the warm air is down to the south. this is the cooler, more stable air to the north. that's what shoots in our direction as we go into the day

tomorrow. 47 in baltimore. go down to the south. atlanta, 65 degrees. how about memphis? 69 degrees. compare that to the northern plains where it's a struggle to get to 10 degrees above 0. i don't think the cold air comes in until tuesday afternoon. that will stay with us during the course of this week. this front on top of us, that creates damp drizzle conditions. 46-52 degrees. it's a warm day tomorrow. a lot of clouds out there. mild, 67 to around 71 degrees. there's that front to the west. that's what will move in our direction as we go into tomorrow night. temperatures tonight 47-48 degrees. again, headlining the fog that will be out there through the course of the evening. even our western zones will be pretty uniformly into the 40s. dense fog will be the feature to the overnight conditions.

again, drizzle, fog. we'll go around 47 degrees but temperatures will be slow to rise. look at tomorrow. 2-degree guarantee goes to 66. mostly cloudy with rain developing by tomorrow night. 50 degrees will turn into the 40s by the pre-dawn hours on tuesday. there could be a rumble of thunder when the front passes through. there will be a close call on wednesday from a storm system offshore, but we're back into the 40s, low 50s for much of the week, where we should be. >> yeah. >> we are pushing 70, i think a few spots will get lucky tomorrow. >> let's find out. we need to get lucky. daniel simmons and huswife heather run the hubbard funeral home. they're giving away 300 christmas trees to national guard families. this weekend as they were loading up trees -- it started out with 100 trees and swelled to 300. so daniel has to drive to north
