could anticipate large chunks of ice falling on cars like that. people were just sitting ducks. >> whoa! there's goes the windshield. >> yeah. they can close down the bridge but you can't just magically be off the bridge. once closed, this guy claims this piece was somewhere along six-feet long. you see that giant chunk. british prime minister says that this is the contractor's fault and that company is now going to have to pay the costs to make sure the same thing doesn't happen again. >> that must have been pretty scary. >> in disaster movies, something bad always happens on a bridge, and this is it. >> tons of insurance claims came in. >> dozens of windshields broken, one person injured, actually knocked unconscious. this video is out of east china. i have to warn you, it's really hard to watch. up see a large group of people pulling this rope together, and they're in this little pond off the side of the road, and you quickly notice what theray're

trying to pull out. that is a van and unfortunately this van was carries 15 kindergartners to school on monday morning of this week. according to reports from the government, the driver of this van was speeding and this van ended up toppling over into this pond, and really heartbroken to say that 11 of the 17 children died as a result of this accident. >> here in this moment of the video you see some of the children's belonging, book bags, jackets, things like that, and you also see people in the water. this is, at this point they're trying to tie the rope to the van hoping to gelt get any survivors out. now, three of the children did die on scene. 12 were take ton a nearby hospital and eight of those children died while receiving treatment at the local hospital. >> why is anybody ever in so much of a hurry with 15 kids in a van that they have to speed and you know when you have a van and that many people in it you have to be careful.

>> now, according to government reports, the driver of this van survived the accident. he has now been detained by police while they investigate. >> also as a result of this accident, they've suspended 12 officials. according to a local citizen, they say that the police were slow to respond to this accident. it's safe to say that this woman probably won't dou what se did anymore. >> this is in china. watch what she's doing. put something on top of the manhole and then starts to mess with it. watch what happens? >> what just happened? >> it exploded. >> what exploded? the thing she was or the manhole cover? >> the manhole cover. >> holy -- >> you can see, she was injured in this incident. >> of course. that thing was like a mine. >> why -- why -- why mess with a manhole cover? >> i don't know. what's interesting to me, when i

think of a manhole cover i think of like methane gas and gases coming out of there, but i wouldn't put a flame or whatever she put on top of it, because it looked like before it exploded, it looked like it seared up and then, boom, and she is tossed over there by that car. you could see her laying on the ground. >> did this kill her? >> it did not kill her. she was hospitalized. she survived. >> don't mess with manhole covers. >> never mind don't meps with manhole covers. somebody ought to figure out why there's so much explosive material underground. sewers aren't supposed to be a bomb under our feet. i like to think our waste is being removed from where i last put it. this is video of shoppers at the ardent fair mall running for cover. it happened wednesday afternoon. shoppers thought they heard gunshots coming from a fight in the mall's food court. the crowd started running in a panic. police say there was no shooting

and no one with a gun, but there was a fight involving about 20 people. four people were arrested. you guys may not know, but santa love s riding motorcycles and so do all of this elves. usually pretty good at it, too -- except this time. >> ooh! >> middle of the highway. dark green bike runs into the back of that silver bike causing them goethe to go tumbling down the highway. if you look close, he's straddling the bike completely backwards and trying to operate the controls as he's turning around. that causes him to slow down quite a bit as the guy behind him is riding a wheelie. cars behind this group are now stopped and trying to get around these guys. >> here's another look at the incident. a couple other guys are stunting in the middle of the highway. they aren't the only ones pulling stunts. the impact does look pretty bad, but it doesn't look serious, because both guys appear to get up and get out of there. we look atthe se
