[ laughter ] and a gang of smurfs is wanted by the cops. >> the man says one of the smurfs -- the man said one of the smurfs dids did asked him for a light. >> gayle will tripe to tell us the victim's mysterious story. [ mumbling [. a record-breaking heat wave is causing all kinds of problems across australia including fires and images are popping up all over the internet. more than 200 wildfires have been reported in southern australia and on the island of tasmania, with the difficult temperature, temperatures of more than 104 degrees fahrenheit, it's really tough for firefighters to get these blazes under control. >> look at these terrifying images. a family in tasmania, they sought refuge under a pier. >> nowhere to go but under the water? >> they were surrounded.

>> we saw tornadoes, a fire coming towards us. the next thing wep knew, everything was on fire everywhere. >> the family made it out safe. the children were away when this happened. they were reunited, everyone okay. no one injured. >> i also want to show you this footage that is heartbreaking shot by a volunteer fire fightner tasmania. >> real bald day. real bad day. >> you see the footage is of a neighborhood, and more than 90 homes were burned due to fires in this area, and this firefighter is so emotional, apologizing for not being able to gelt these fires under control. in particular, one of the homes he's focused on is his brother's. >> i'm really sorry. i couldn't get down the hill. falling down everywhere. i just couldn't get down the road. >> reporter: you can see other firefighters just trying to fight these blazes as they move from home to home to home. >> my heart goes out to him and all of these people who got

caught during this tough time. >> just to remind us of what firefighters do, he praises the firefighters who are out there trying to work their way through this neighborhood. >> the legends -- >> calls them the legends. so far no deaths reported as a result of these fire, but they're still trying to locate some people who were in these neighborhoods where all of these homes were burned. >> real bad day. real bad day. lots of winter weather up north has led to a lot of conditions like this out on the roads. this is back on december 7th. this is in bloomington, minnesota. the road you see icy, slick conditions. this car's trying to make a left, but left kind of turns into just straight, because -- >> ah! >> keep going, keep going, keep going. this car comes from the other direction, and hits him in the trunk and then it actually knocks the power out from this utility pole that they both kind of crash into. >> wait a minute. i don't mean to laugh, but the

very first thing the guy does is light up a smoke. did you notice that? the driver. boom-crash. click. that wasn't even five seconds after he crashes into a telephone pole, he lights up a smoke and says, well, going to be a long night. >> i actually didn't notice that. >> you can hear the guy's engine, the first guy that runs into the telephone pole, he's trying to power his way out of this spin, but it's just not working. his tires are spinning. throughout the video you do see other kaurs de cars deal wig th conditions. here this suv, a turn, a fishtail before turning off this road on to this side road and kind of just regrouping. >> seems like a tough place. what you're looking at is video from the uk, and this is from a pet shop. the store owner was baby-sitting

a baby cat and her kittens. first appear, in the video, a child holding a kitten. the kitten is grabbed from this child, pushing somebody out of the way and seems to be telling her to hand her something. watch what she does. unceremoniously just throws the cat in there, bending down to zip the bag up -- >> just walked out of the store? >> walked out of the store. the police are looking for this woman. they released this video. now, in australia, a completely different kind of crime. the suspects, the smurfs. you see somebody in white pants, and maybe wearing a really skin-tight blue shirt? no, no, no, no. four men dressed as smurfs are wanted for the questioning of an assault. apparently man was standing outside of this convenience store said one of the smurfs asked him for a light? >> the smurfs asked for a light after beating up a guy.

[ bleep ]. >> the man said one of the smurfs asked him for a light. >> got that. we got that. we established one of the smurfs asked the man for a light. >> he didn't have one, and he said a short time later somebody assaulted him. so the police don't know if the smurfs were guilty of the assault or somebody else. that why they're wanted for questioning. >> they just want to find the smurfs so they can talk to them? they should look under all the mushrooms in the field. >> yeah, right. men and women have many different drives standards and practices. this is what shows what happens when those two worlds collide. >> i'm not cooking. >> apparently in taiwan. see that car that's about to park. oh, boy, it's not. pushes that car into a car, and that car into a car ahead of it.

just making the space a little bigger to fit i think. >> let me ask. that's the dude. that's the guy driver. >> let me out. >> i had this loosely translated. he believes whas happening is husband and wife areband is dri. the woman is grabbing at the wheel. >> oh! that's sad. >> yes. and that could be what caused this crash, but you see the door pop open. she gets out as the car is in reverse, and knocks her down. it's hard to tell if she got run over or not, because it's that palm tree that's in the way, but she appears to be fine, because she gets up, pickups a few things. looks like maybe some shoes and walks away like nothing ever happened. >> that is not the way and place to have a fight. >> yeah. that's never going to end well. a missing wheel on a plane makes for a xarscary landing.

>> you know, to me, it's just funny to be angry about things that there's no reason to be angry about. >> were you on vacation or were you working on this ship? >> no. this was all for fun. my wife's parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and really wanted to go on a hawaiian cruise, so we took them on a cruise to celebrate their 50th. >> so much of this f-ing stuff did you actually get to do? >> listen, when you're on a cruise ship for two weeks, a really long cruise, you get to do everything, and it was ridiculous fun. >> at the end of two weeks were you ready to get the f off the boat? >> i kind of was. i was getting what do they call it when you miss land? is this too close, by the way? i've got to say, so much fun and the people on the cruise couldn't have been nicer. everybody was such a good sport, it was all just goofy fun. >> another little piece of information my co-hosts don't know here, you won a karaoke contest. against an 81-year-old man. is that the guy we're seeing here? >> harold's awesome.

doesn't take him long to find something really, really neat. >> looks like a creature. >> it is. it's a moose on the loose in the woods. >> so he gingerly tiptoes through the forest and gets closer to this moose. he's like stalking the moose with the helicopter from afar, and you can tell the moose knows something's up. >> the moose is just as curious as these copter pilots. >> oh! [ laughter ] >> do you see this? >> instead of returning away, the moose turns around and starts walking right up to the camera. looks up in the air to see what this alien craft is hovering over his little pasture here. >> i love this. i love it. >> that is cool, man. he was able to get that thing -- right on top of that, really. >> it did them a favor by coming out from behind that bush and saying, hey, what's going on? hey? >> at the end of the video you can see the helicopter coming back to where the guys are flying.

adelaide in australia. >> this is a crowded restaurant. i'm getting a little nervous about this fight breaking out. you can see families. you can see small children. >> according to police it was between the rebels bikers gang and the descendants. sitting next to each other and a fight breaks out. two days before christmas. at a popular thai restaurant, not expecting biker violence to break out. on the very next day one man on the rebels were arrested but police are still looking for the other three people involved. >> the detective says -- >> fortunately on this occasion it ended relatively quickly after a bunch of punches, but could have easily escalated and who know what's could have happened. >> he could get up to three years if convicted in this fight. that plane coming down for a landing in an airport in australia. from 10 news. what you see going wrong. look right here. this plane is missing a wheel. >> oh!

>> to make matters worse, this is a 21-year-old student pilot flying solo. the right wheel fell off just after takeoff, and this is how he had to come down for a bit of a crash landing. you see he touches down, skids out, one wing hits the ground, door pops open, but luckily. guy was okay. the crazy thing is the instruct her to talk the student through this via radio, he had to fly and circle around for five hours to burn off enough fuel before he could come down for this crazy landing. >> how stressful must that have been? that five hours must have seemed like an eternity. a student pilot, probably one of the first times for him to fly solo. for this to happen and that landing to go that way, he'll be a fantastic piloting from here on out. >> there were fire crews on the runway, sprayed it down with foam. it doesn't look like anything like a fire happened in the

cockpit so the pilot was able to walk away from this, was not hurt but, of course, shaken up from the experience. if this was his worst landing in his pilot career, i think he's all right. >> he's set up. our friend devin graham known as devin super tramp will let you know everybody's having fun. >> they all do! >> what? >> awesome. right? >> trampoline slam dunks? >> this time devin graham traveled to hungary to work with a hungarian acrobatic sports team. these guys perform these kinds of moves all over hungary and the whole ideais to make people keand they usually set these things to music when they perform. >> this is easy if you're devin graham. they got crazy skills. look what they're doing. >> that's like the halftime show as an nba game but magnified. >> the globetrotters, plus a
