of leopold's back. then a witness said leopold returned $5,000 to the county following a mandatory pay raise. it counters the charges that he misused county charges. she filed her own lawsuit against leopold and continues to watch from inside. >> the citizens of anne arundel county were promised an explanation. there's a whole other side that no one knew anything about. i'm seeing excuses. >> reporter: the defense rested. the judge aloud the argument to -- allowed the argument to continue. leopold faces three counties of misconduct in office. a fourth was dropped on friday and one count of fraud for using tax dollars. >> it has been tough to get a good read on the judge. he challenges the defense.

on tuesday morning closing arguments will give the judge one last chance to decide. he had his officers sit in a parking lot while he had sex in a car, to put up campaign signs and change a urine basmght the defense said he may have lacked judgment but what he did was not illegal. >> people want to know what he was thinking by having police officers drive 45 minutes to deliver newspapers to his house. >> reporter: he was not questioned on the stand but reporters will get their shot when the trial is over. in annapolis, cheryl conner, abc2 news. >> if he is found guilty he could face prison time or be voted out of office.

jurors watched an illicit tape in the phylicia barnes trial. her older sister deena was called to testify about the relationship she had with her and michael johnson. prosecutors played a 15 minutes video that shows deena, phylicia, michael johnson and the younger brother groping each other. the defense argues the defense just shows how deena barnes was an irresponsible guardian to her younger sister. thousands of screaming ravens fans packed into the inner harbor to send the team off in style. even fireworks started off the super bowl frenzy. roosevelt leftwich was downtown for the big party. what a turnout? >> it was a great day. cloudy skies with you -- skies

to notre dame's manti te'o, happens every day and in the just to famous football players. >> everybody wants to feel needed and loved and find that romance, the wonder, the excitement of it all. the scammer just knows how to pull them into it. >> reporter: pulling them in by catfishing. that's a term made famous by the 2010 film called catfish, about a man who has an online love affair with the ideal woman who turns out to not exist. it's based on trust, one email, one phone call at a time. >> hey fell in love with affection nal character, a -- a fictional character. >> reporter: she said te'o is like many of her clients, the target of a cruel hoax. >> it's hard for people to accept the fact this person

doesn't exist. nothing is going to match up, phone numbers, addresses. >> reporter: a person who often wants something more than romance in return. >> the bottom line is that there's mony. they'll always ask for money. >> reporter: she has had clients send mony. te'o said he never gave money to his so-called girlfriend though he said she wanted to send him money and asked for the checking account but he refused. in manti te'o's case his girlfriend faked her death and brock his heart. >> my clients are truly embarrassed. they don't want to talk to their friends, their family. they've depleted their bank accounts. >> reporter: joce sterman, abc2 news. the pref ledges lens of --

prevalence of childhood obesity is changing the way doctors approach type two diabetes. the first guidelines to treat kids with type two diabetes is being created. it focuses on life-style changes and medication. >> this is a serious disease that requires life-style changes and medication. if we attack it aggressively, perhaps children can one day come off medication like adults. >> doctors say medication is an important initial treatment for children who are type two diabetics. the phone lines will be open a little less than 15 minutes. doctors are taking your questions on inflammatory bowel disease or ibd. we've been talking to the doctor from the university of maryland

school of medicine. what is the role of the gastro enterologist in treating ibd. >> our role doesn't really stop at caring for, treating diarrhea or abdominal pain. there's a lot more to it. we like to think of the patient as a whole, especially -- since inflammatory bowel disease affect the whole body, the skin, the eyes, the liver and the bones as well. therefore, it's very important to consider all of those parts of the system as a whole. therefore, in our general clinic visits with our patients, we tend to monitor for all types of affects on those organs as well as monitor for side effects and the medications that we use to treat the disease. so overall we tend to consider the patient as a whole. if there are any questions at

the end of the day after we've discussed all of these potential side effects and disease processes or disease issues, then we still have our colleagues and other divisions to go to, you know, ask questions. we tend to think of our patients as kind of our own family members and treat them has such. therefore we use a multidisciplinary touch. >> when you're looking for a doctor, quickly, what should you do. >> reporter: the crohn's and colitis foundation is a good place to look for a specialist to treat patients with inflammatory bowel disease, so that's the first place i would probably look. in addition, again, an ibd specialist at the university of maryland would be able to assist in making sure you're seen rapidly into all right, doctor. thank you very much for joining

us. now we'll send it over to wyatt, who has a lack at our weather -- look at our weather after a rocking and rolling morning. wyatt? let's start off with a check of maryland's most powerful radar. yes, this was active. now a couple of rain showers. temperatures in the 30s and 40s. we do not have frozen or icy weather concerns but will have some damp areas. we have actual rain on the eastern shore toward cambridge -- came came reaching through hawkeye. some wet weather but minimal. baltimore is damp. the days are starting to get longer. that is for sure. how does that stack up?

getting back to normal so that is a done deal. we'll look for temperatures to get in here before we get more cold air. you see the changing patterns, a warmer air flow coming out of the south. as a result that's helping to bump up temperatures as we speak. tonight we probably won't go below freezing. there will be fog. visibility is already about 25% of norm ham. we're down three quarters of normal in well manage ton. remember, the normal unrestricted visibility would be 10 miles to the horizon. just a few showers on the eastern shore. a couple more additional rain showers out toward west virginia and garrett county but not much precipitation left. the clouds will stick around, though. tomorrow we're goirng to have a -- going to have a tough time seeing clouds, a few sunny breaks and clouding up on wednesday.

wednesday warmer air begins to arrive but it won't last. the cold front will bring another round of rain, maybe flooding rain wednesday night. here as the societyup, the cold wedge hanging tough. we have a stalled out stationary front south of us, so the mild hair is poiseed to move. that stalled out boundary keeping us from the cold side of things. however that will break on wednesday. we'll get a nice mild surge. it will be mostly cloudy most of the day. this nice mild pattern won't hold into thursday. this colder section will arrive for thursday into friday and also clear the skies. right now you can see the main weather maker moving through new england. chilly air, that's what we're in tomorrow. tomorrow we'll be barely in the secondtor-- sector. this could spark quite a bit of rain and maybe an embedded
