>> and media day for super bowl xlvii. the ravens field questions from hundreds of reporters for the super bowl week tradition. first an update on the breaking news we brought you at 5:00. a judge found anne arundel county executive john leopold guilty. tonight there's already movement to get him out of office. cheryl conner is in pape pea. she joins us with the latest. any word from john leopold tonight? >> reporter: we just saw john leopold leave the courthouse with his attorneys. leopold would not respond to reporters' questions. judge dennis sweeney delivered his final ruling. leopold was found not guilty on another count of misconduct and not guilty of fraud. that was the charge that carried

prison time. now we list and to closing arguments. they lasted for four hours this morning. the defense delivered theirs. not and the judge sided with the prosecutor, which referred to leopold requiring county employees to change his urine bag. he also said was against the law to have them work on his campaign but on the issue of having sex in a parking -- that is what we heard so much since march, the judge called it offensive but did not find guilt sense the officer's job was to drive leopold. what's next? we brought in the council. i understand that an emergency meeting has been planned for tomorrow to determine whether or not john leopold will keep his job. >> that's correct tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 the county council will convene for approximately 15 minutes. the bill will be to remove the county executive. the vote will be taking place on

that bill monday evening at 7:00 in the county council chambers. >> reporter: you need a super majority. tell us what that means. >> of the seven members, five would have to vote in the affirmative. >> reporter: you're the chairman. are the votes there? >> i'm not going to speak on behalf of my other colleagues. they will be casting them the way they see fit. as for me, i will be supportinged bill. >> reporter: we'll know monday if john leopold will keep his job. >> that's correct. >> reporter: are you surprise. you've been following this, a lot of talk about these charges. >> it as been a sad day for anne arundel. it's been a huge distraction. we owe it to our citizens to move forward has quickly as we can oar you're one of the

get money from the county council but the police, school and county executive said they will use smart tech to enhance school security. one of the first things they want to do is make this hard tore go into the building. they want to install new eel tron clip controlled entrances. the big step is a move toward total surveillance. now every school will be wired for live security. >> with these financeds, we want to install state of the article a systems in all elementary and special education school the. the video from cameras at every baltimore county public school will be streamed live to police patrol cars in the community, the local precincts and the command staff at our headquarters building. >> reporter: now the cost will be close to $4 million that they hope to pay for with bonds and through supplement hall school

funding. kamenetz hopes to install them in all schools before the summer. >> thanks a lot, rosie. jurors in the phylicia barnes case were shown peck comurs of herred di. it was toward the end of another long day of testimony. monday the state spent most of the day focusing on that illicit video and her sister deena barnes. prosecutors called several law enforcement officers that detailed the very longhand widely publicized investigation. the sergeant in charge of a city police investigation at the time spoke of several searches based on cell phone data from michael johnson phone. all those searches turned up empty as barn -- barnes' body

the impact of concussions in professional sports being particularly, football, has grown into a national discussion. this week president obama said if he had a son, i think i would think long and hard before letting him play football. one potential solution may be limiting the number of hits that kids take as they grow up and learn the game. as abc2's christian schaffer reports from new orleans, the nfl has embraced flag football as an alternative. >> reporter: the real ravens are in new orleans. they will play at a park not too far from the super dome. >> one, two, three, ravens. >> reporter: game time for the virginia extreme 11 and under team, the boys from leesburg won a tournament back in october which gave them the opportunity to play here in the nfl flag

the iraqi veteran said he feels great and he showed off his new arms at johns hopkins today. >> currently, i don't have feeling or movement in the hands yet, but we'll get there. the arms feel great. no any anymore and things are healing up very well. >> the procedure was only the seventh double hand or double harm transplant ever performed here. last month's operation took 16 surgeons, 13 hours and gave marrocco bone marrow from a donor to help his immune system accept the new arm. in a new study 420 people in spain were split into two groups, those who hate their lunch before 3 and those who ate lunch later. people who ate lunch early lost about 25% more weight.

mild kind of day. all in a south, southeasterly breeze. the one effect is for areas right along the bay, including annapolis. you didn't get quite as warm, in the upper 50s is where you were stuck in baltimore. that's where we sit in the upper 50s. eventually the mid-40s but we're back to 5 by daybreak. -- to 50 by daybreak. mid-60s even. take a look at the numbers where we think the warmest weather will be in the heart of the season. we could touch 70 degrees and how about harford county where you're in the mid to upper 60s right back there tomorrow and perhaps slightly warmer in spots. so it's going to depend on where you are and what your wind is doing. i think a lot of it could be pushing highs that are several degrees above where we are. overall not a noise day.
