the money we spend on all the excitement from the super bowl is staggering with the game becoming a holiday for many americans. most of what you'll pay for is the food on sunday. americans are expected to eat 30 million pounds of snack food and drink 50 million cases of beer. we know there's a chicken wing shortage this year. experts say you'll be able to find them but three will cost more than usual. a favorite super bowl food, pizza, shouldn't be any costlier than next year. >> consumers can relax. they won't pay too much more

meteorologist wyatt everhart here. the bottom line is we'll continue to get the winds and the cold. the system continues to move north and east but snow showers from the great lakes, some reaching into western maryland. fact, through the overnight hours we could see snow showers, especially toward the d.c. area, just a little small disturbance passing through southern maryland. there could be more in the way of snow showers tomorrow. 37 degrees at bwi. wind is west at 30, gusting higher than that. put a little weather in motion. take a look at disun dock -- dundalk. you're camera shaking around in the wind. annapolis a big shop on the severn river. how about kent island today.

looking on the chess peek bay -- chesapeake bay, you see the whitecaps. it will stay breezy tonight. we're seeing winds steady from the west, 20 to 30 with high are gusts. some of the highest gusts have been in the 40-mile-an-hour range. almost 30 in easton and salisbury a gust of 36. you had a chill in the 30s. feels like the 20s. it will feel like the teens later tonight. early peek at your weather, looks like we'll be back in the mid-30s with not as much wind but breezy conditions, but a cold day on tap, no question. the winds will not be as brutal but the air temps will be colder so it all offsets. snowfall wise. are we looking at anything. some snow showers in western maryland, no doubt. perhaps a little bit in southern
