another system diving south, snow to the area, we will talk about when the best chance will be this weekend and how much is straight ahead. one teen is dead and another is at shock trauma after a shooting in harford county. jeff hager has details on the double hooting in edgewood. by day, you normally might hear chirp at play. genevieve says when her daughter stepped outside last night to take out the trash, she heard sounds that alarmed her. >> she heard moaning or something. she heard gun shots. or popping. when the police came up to her,, she told them that she heard the moaning over on the side. >> reporter: responding to an anonymous call, reporting the sound of shots fired, the sheriff's deputies converged on field, here behind the community. when deputies arrived they found two victims, one individual was a 17 year old

michael karens , the other 18 year old christopher cousins. cousins said he and his police went to the field to meet people. he didn't indicate why. >> when they arrived, these people showed up and shot them multiple times. the other victim, mr. karens, who was shot several times was not conscious at the scene, there was emergency care rendered to him, he was transported to the medical center, where he was pronounced deceased after his arrival. >> reporter: police air lifted cousins to the shock trauma center where he is in guarded condition, but expected to survive. investigators are hoping that the lone surviving victim saw his would be killers and can ultimately identify them. jeff hager, abc2 news. >> anyone with information that could lead police to the shooters can call crime stoppers 1-888-540-8477. you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.

a frederick county family many mourning after two sisters were killed if a house fire. three year old lil lard and her sister, a 6 year old were trapped inside they home last night. the intense flames stopped firefighters from reaching the girls, their 8 year old sister is treated at childrens national medical center in dc. the father is in the hospital, their mom was treated and released. we know the identity of the woman found dead in a flooded homeless camp in arundel county. the 26 year old was found in a wooded area at route 198, lorel racetrack in lorel yesterday morning. heavy rains floodsed the camp. after six days testimony from more than 30 witnesss and a sex tape and a man who says he saw felecia barnes body in michael johnson's apartment , the state rested its case. >> the defense team will have its turn with the jury. not before the state calls the final witnesses today. it started friday, calling a
