could be more. the eastern shore, there's an isolated threat of a tornado. eight tornadoes officially down in florida with 20 reports. florida getting hammered. look at this. tropical storm andrea pushed across florida today dumping heavy rains and flooding roads. the first the named storm of the hurricane season formed yesterday bringing winds up to 60 miles an hour across florida. as sam champion, planed, tornadoes have been an issue. >> we've had tornado warnings all around. the feeder bands work off the gulf. >> reporter: at least eight tornadoes have touched down in florida, forges families to take cover. >> i grabbed her. >> while no one was hurt, residents are left cleaning up the damage. >> it's amazing.

>> a set of local abortion clinics have been shut down. >> reporter: the state found associates left a patient unattended and a doctor who was not sort fived with life support and let staffers with no medical training give out medicine to patients. it sits on the bottom floor of a brick building. the only mention of the clinic is a sign in the lobby. associates in obgyn has been shut down. three physicians who work there have also hadder that licenses

review the suspension. he doesn't think shutting down the whole practice is justified. >> a bright moment came before the sun came up. that's when a 61-year-old woman was rescued from the rubble of yesterday's building collapse. she is in critical condition. she was trapped for more than 12 hours. it is rescues like hers that keep them hopeful. >> that's what this rescue effort is all about. >> at least six people died when a demolition project went wrong. the victims were inside the salvation army store. federal and state investigators are on the scene. the demolition company had proper permits and no existing safety violations. >> many people with smartphones

let's look at tropical storm andrea as she continues to make her move in the northwestern corner of florida near the destin tallahassee area. we're -- here we have the radar to define the eye. you see this huge rain shield. actually in this situation on the east side. all this moisture and rain will continue to track right up the coast. we'll have much more on andrea in just a second. a 3d perspective, florida. this is a large system that will make its move. we got a frontal boundary pushing out of the west hoping to squeeze in the rain already. you she it west of baltimore. live pictures from clearwater, florida, tonight. you see the big waves.

this is a standard definition. the big storms. tampa bay area, big bands of heavy tropical rain. you expect the same thing tomorrow. baltimore under a cloudy sky, looking unsettled. rain coming down lightly. we think that gets much heavier boy daybreak tomorrow and certainly throughout the day on friday. 72 right now at bwi. state wide big line of precipitation out to the west. this is not our tropical storm. it's reaching into that tropical moisture. actually, our main rain event holds off. then perhaps another round. so central maryland, frederick county, all of baltimore and the d.c. area and all areas north of dorchester county and all of delaware and flash flood watches have been issued.

so tonight the flood concern is not so much. wepts out of the south -- winds out of the south. power lines down. we have reduced visibility, tough to drive in those heavy rains. that's what we'll be facing. across the region things will get more active as we go into the morning hours tomorrow, early morning hours. it's going to be rough, i think. into the afternoon a secondary round flares up. perhaps this model were to verify and maybe a tropical system is tough to handle. this would put some of the heavier rains offshore or at least into the maryland beaches but still with the front coming in on top of this system, it will monte potential for more rain. or's the outlook as we look further south. more rain overspreading the

situation. it was one of the worst possible situations. a 2-year-old boy is found in the pool. the family did everything to save him. they got him out of the poocialtion start -- pool, started cpr and called for help. >> i knelt down, felt the pumps -- pumps -- pulse. i turned the child over, put mi finger inside of his moth, scooped -- mouth, scooped some out and he began it gasp for air. >> reporter: he was rushed to the hospital. the deputy had been on the force for three years and this isn't the first too many he drove to a scene where a woman wasn't

breathing. last year woman had a heart attack. >> it's a good feeling, something that as law enforcement personnel we like to do. it as a good feeling and why we do the job. >> reporter: once again, the dapt credits his training for showing him how to do this. however, he says he hopes he goes the rest of his career without having to use that training again. >> thank you, sir. continuing coverage of one girl's battle to get a lifesaving transplant. tonight she and her family have reason to clear. abc2 news jason carroll has more. >> reporter: this was sara's reaction after getting word a federal judge has temporarily helped her win a victory in a bat toll save her life. ♪ twinkle, twinkle, little star

♪ >> reporter: she desperately need as lung transplant having been on the donor list for 178 months. wednesday the family file add lawsuit against the department of health and human services to get her on the adult list. the current policy prevents children under 12 for being on the list. the judge issued a 10-day restraining order. they want her to be considered for an adult lung. >> it's allowing her to be on equal grounds with the other folks, adults. >> reporter: as sara became sicker over the past few weeks, the family wants health and human services secretary kathleen sebelius to change the policy. sebelius said it's in the within her policy. >> the worst of our worlds in my mind is to have some individual

pick and choose who lives and who dies. you want a process that's guided by medical science and experts. >> reporter: there are four in need of a transplant but sara is so sick it's likely she will be at the top of the list. guidelines have to assume fareness. >> you have to work within the rules, but also to make the case when you believe that children would be add variously effected by the policy. >> i lost two teeth. >> reporter: time for sara still running out but the family believes she has a fighting chance. reporting for cnn, new york. >> just last night after they were notified about the judge's decision, health and human services secretary kathleen sebelius said sara was added to
