beltway, 55 miles per hour on the inner loop here at i-70. the latest drive times show we're in the green on the outer loop as well. 12 minutes from 795 to 95. and heading to parkville, here is a live look. a 12 minute trip on the outer loop. that's your time-saver traffic. today, the baltimore county police officer accused of killing a teen is headed to court. his trial begins today. he is charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of 17-year-old christopher brown. brown was part of a group of teens throwing rocks at the police officer's home in june. the officer chased him down and held him down. brown died of affiliation. if the officer is conducted manslaughter or involuntary, it could be 10 years in prison. it is a difficult day for the 10-year-old of the cecil county girl killed last week.

she will be laid to rest this afternoon. this will be followed by her funeral service. the girl's body was found to close to her home. police have arrested 29-year- old richard madden. this morning baltimore county police are looking for a killer. 29-year-old melinda schaefer was found dead on friday. police are saying it appears the property manager suffered multiple stab wounds. they are not saying if it is random. daniel deamond was kayaking over the weekend. and his kayak flipped over in kingsville. rescue crews found his body under debris. the medical examiner are doing

an autopsy. two maryland men are lucky to be alive. they were hurt skidiving, but are expected to be okay. a 60-year-old and a 52-year-old were tangled up in the afternoon add an airport in delaware. one shoot did not open causing both men to hit the ground. by next week, the supreme court is expected to make landmark ruling on same-sex marriage. it should come before the summer recess. the court is going to rule on california's ban, proposition 8. it limits marriage to one man and one woman. and justices could degrees if the marriage act is unconstitutional, because it denies benefits. two dozen same-sex couples tied the knot this weekend at the pride festival. mayor rawlings-blake said the service.

the house. >> hazmat crews and maryland department of the environment are on the scene right now trying to pinpoint the exact source and cause of the poisoning, but all reports indicate this is carbon monoxide poisoning. it is at the home here, two homes down on hillcrust every. you can see the people on the front porch. they are waiting to go inside to take air samples. this call came enbefore midnight. one staff members in the house was found unconscious. this is a group hope for challenged men. that staff person was taken to shock trauma and will be evaluated for the hyperbaric chamber. and a second call an hour later. all people in the home, seven, were feeling sick. most people were taken to franklin square. three staff people and three additional residents of the

home were transported to the hospital. we're told that most of them have been taken to shock trauma and will be evaluated for the hyperbaric chamber. again, carbon monoxide poisoning, but has immediate crews and maryland department of the environment will take air samples. right now the home is evacuated. there is no other threat to the homes on the street. so far, we learned that eight people in all were taken to the hospital. most of them were transported to shock trauma to be evaluated for the hyperbaric chamber. again, hazmat crews and the maryland department of environment are waiting to go inside to find the exact cause. the initial cause is carbon monoxide poisoning. linda so, abc 2 news. >> we will have more all morning long. remember, you can go what happens in your area by following us on twitter or

this morning an investigation is kicking into high gear. federal agents are headed to the city. it is 65% contained. the rain yesterday gave a boost to firefighters hunting for hotspots near colorado springs. the flames subside, police keeping the area on lockdown, and causing tempers to flare. >> all of us are getting treated like criminals. we can't come out. if we come out, we can't go back in. >> we are downed power lines in there. and trees falling. >> the fire is blamed for two depths and houses have been destroyed near 500. this morning a silver lining. authorities have accounted for all missing people. crews hope to have the fire contained this week. they certainly need it, when you consider how hot things can get. now, lynette, what do we have in store? >> today above average, charlie, but cooler conditions

towards the middle of the week. right now, the radar september composite is not picking up on a lot across central maryland. most of the action is to the south. around virginia a line of showers and thunderstorms. and showers and thunderstorms more into the afternoon time frame. as we pullout and slide down and look at the tropics we're watching this area of disturbed weather. lots of showers and clouds around, but a 30% chance of this area becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 38 hours. this is in honduras. so we'll keep on eye cans on this. right now, nothing working our brewing in the tropics. this is temperatures here at home. we're quite warm this morning. coming in at 71 degrees in reisterstown. we are at 71 in annapolis and should be in the 60s. 67 degrees in bel air. and look at the 69s in galena

and goldsboro. so this is what is going on at the surface today. we have the cold front to the west. this will get closer to us and stall out today and tomorrow. so with this a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. and quite humid for today and tomorrow. we have to wait for the front the move through and cool the temperatures down and take dry air into the area. as we look at abc 2 news' most accurate future trend. we do have the possibility of scattered showers into the afternoon. this will continue into tuesday. and then start to see a little bit more change in the forecast as we begin your wednesday, thursday and friday. things are looking good. i think you will like your salt lake city. seven day forecast. as we head into the 3:00 hour then i have the seven-day forecast for you. you're going to have the hold on a little bit more.
