this afternoon explaining their investigation into martin's death is ongoing and they will continue working through the evidence to see if it reveals any civil rights violations. demonstrations all over the country and disappointment over the country. they wanted a peaceful demonstration. here is more with the latest. cheryl, what are people saying there tonight? >> reporter: it is well over 100 people that turned out here. they really have a message about race. take a look. they are drawing the attention at light and pratt streets. we have been talking to people of any races and ages. it is the baltimore people power assembly that organized this demonstration and they predict the outcome of the trial over a week ago and started putting information on their facebook page about the demonstration. it is peaceful out here.

they are arguing that racism of this case and if trayvon martin was a white victim, george zimmerman would have been found guilty. one woman said there should only be one race, the human race. i want to bring in leon. you were out here sir last year trying to push for george zimmerman to be arrested. what's is your message out here tonight? >> it didn't go the way we planned it, but we're not giving up. we want to see if the federal government can pick this case up. >> reporter: do you think a push here from baltimore will send a message? >> there are several cities doing similar things and we're connecting through f blt and naacp to get this going. >> reporter: what are your thoughts out here tonight? a lot of people are protesting very peacefully but very upset.

the question is, when will it end? could it end with a bang? we'll have the seven-day forecast in a bit. kelly. >> thanks a lot mike. the shooting continued to add up in baltimore city this weekend. a 15-year-old was shot. the boy was taken to the hospital and he is expected to survive and tonight police are investigating. a man shot saturday did not make it. police say the 21-year-old was shot in the head. homicide detectives are looking for a suspect. now they have issued an arrest warrant. police say everyone involved in the shooting knew each other and his death is not believed to be retal ya torii. we'll be right back after the break.

there. it is just acres of sunshine over the eastern third of the nation. high pressure is trying to build in over the mid-atlantic. you have to go down towards dallas or u stin or houston to find any organized shower. 85 in town. even western maryland into the 80s. these temperatures continue to climb. we're talking about an area of high pressure drifting offshore and to the west. it is the sinking air. sizzling temperatures. that is what we're banking on all this week. this will be the hottest heat wave for the summer of 2013. >> forecast hours tomorrow morning, low to mid-90s. then into tuesday, even hotter. middle 90s, probably around 100 degrees around the city area. we'll be talking about those real feel numbers coming close

to 101 degrees. dangerous heat monday, tuesday, between 100 and 105. that will go up into philadelphia where there are excessive heat warnings. i'll show you more about that in the forecast. >> there is a storm developing into the alou shen islands so saturday they will see more rain. clear, muggy and warm for tomorrow afternoon 95 degrees. other than a few clouds it is all about the heat index approaching 100 degrees. we'll call it downright uncomfortable sleeping weather. may not get out of the 90s monday night. 97 tuesday. hazy sunshine. blistering sunshine by wednesday and thursday, approaching 100 degrees. heat indices, 115.
