the delays are starting -- 759 to 83. the delays are starting toimprove. there are no problems on the beltway from parkville where speeds are clocking in at 55- mile-per-hour at harford road up to towson. it's going to be nice and clear. we have trouble on 95. there's a crash northbound right at the fort mchenry tunnel toll plaza blocking two toll lanes at the moment. but here's a look at 395. notice it's not causing serious backups. we are looking at 5 minute drive time from the toll plaza all the way to the harbor testimony throughway and you can be the first to know about traffic alerts. we were the first station in baltimore to have tweeted about this so you have to follow me at maryland traffic the handle and i am updating this even when i am off air. if you are heading to 895, that's good option despite all the construction northbound and queer look at 50 miles per hour. no delays through the harbor tunnel. and we are looking at 50 miles per hour.

temperatures in the mid-90s but feel like we are in the triple digits as the day wears on. 77 right now in parkton with the dew point at 73. that's the keych the dew points are in the 70s and it will feel oppressive today and that's why we have the heat advisory. let's head outside to parkton where we are seeing a mix of sun and clouds but that's the sun is going to prevail continuing through the day at 74 right now in union bridge and it's dry on maryland's most powerful radar. and as you head out for the jog it's going to be warm hot and steamyhroughout the day with a high of 96. let's go over to charley. four people in maryland died this summer due to the heat and with the temperature expected to sizzle this week. the city is doing all they can to keep you cool. the city health department is now issuing what they call a code red. and this morning, abc to news -- abc2 news is live to explain what it means i understand from where you are there are people there who need to take advantage of this. >> reporter: desperately. about 400 homes in the upper

fells point community where we are right now lost power. pge crews have been working to fix the problem but the power has not been restored. they are underground replacing the faulty electrical equipment. they are hoping to have it restored by this morning. meanwhile, the city is opening ten emergency centers cooling isn'ters that will be open from 9 this morning until 7 tonight. you can go to any of the centers to cool down in the ac or get free water. in harford howard and carroll and ballmore county go to any of the public libraries or senior senters to find shelter from the heat. annapolis will open the recreation center to help people cool down. health officials say stay out of the heat from 10 to a 3 when it can get the hottest. remember to drink plenty of water and check on elderly neighbors. heat exhaustion and heat stroke can easily set in when it gets this hot and humid. back out here live at pratt and washington streets, in upper fells point, nearly 400 homes lost their power yesterday due

bank and-- thanks to the maryland food bank and giant. the program is to make sure kids who rely on free or reduced lunches don't go hungry during the summer months. ford is recalling about 12,500 cars and suvs because of the child locks and the rear doors. they say they could fail allowing kids to unlock and open the back doors. 2013 ford explorers and taurus and lincoln mks vehicles built at the end of last year are affected. so opening and closing the doors enough times can move the mechanism from locked to unlocked without any sort of warning. ford will begin the recall on august 5th. all right. so another big story we have been talking about all day and we are going to be talking about all week is certainly the weather. it's been hot out there and a lot of you are wondering how hot is it going to go. we are going to find out but i know a lot of people have been wondering what they can do to get some relief from the heat. >> you got to have water go to
