donovan. today, the class of 2017 will get to spend sometime with their families. they have not had this opportunity since back on june 27th when they reported for school. we are learning more about the winning tickets for the huge jackpot. 448 million dollars. the power ball is what we are talking about. two winning tickets were sold in new jersey. now according to reports, 16 coworkers from a vehicle maintenance department bought one of the winning tickets in an office pool. in minnesota, a winner stepped forward to claim his prize for the first time. his name is paul white and he bought 10 dollars worth of tickets at a gas station and he says he didn't check the numbers until his girlfriend gave him a call. >> sure enough they were right and i said i will have to call you back later and i went woo running around the office. >> his ticket was worth $149 million over 30 years so

but more imrtantly, look at this dew . at -- point at 74. we are soupy and uncomfortable this morning and that's going to continue flue the afternoon. -- continue into the afternoon. rising at 6:14 but clouds hovering and we will get sunshine in here before the day is done as well. and with that is going to tournament atmosphere on the unstable side. more showers and thunderstorms popping up. it's going to be warmer today coming in around 88 degrees when the high should be at 86. 70 will be the temperature tonight. still muggy and we have the potential for scattered showers out there. and that will linger into tomorrow where we have the potential for an isolated shower or storm still warm under a partly cloudy sky and check out the beech forecast. yes, i know you are headed -- beach forecast. yes, i know you are headed to the beach. we are looking at thunderstorms on friday and saturday and even sunday but the rain chances go down. let's check the traffic with lauren. >> reporter: it's raining in the forecast lynette. if you are hitting the road, you want to watch out for a crash in baltimore county in randallstown on liberty road near pikeswood drive.

beltway is nice and clear here on the west side. here's a live look at green spring avenue. a typical 11 minutes on the outer loop from 795 down to 95. the inner loop nice and clear up to 83. and 95 here in howard county no problems whatsoever. it will be clear all the way down to dc and northbound travel 11 minutes to get from route 32 up to the beltway. we have a crash in anne arundel county you want to watch out foralong the westbound lanes of route 100 approaching oakwood road and good news for those heading out to washington boulevard where an accident has cleared from old washington road. that's the timesaver traffic. stay with us. there's much more coming up. you are watching good morning maryland.

thanks for joining. one of the store aies we are following for you. there's no word on when a group of local volunteers stranded in kenya will head back home to harford county. a massive fire at nairobi international airport gutted the east african hub creating massive damage and it's leaving people stunned. among the stranded 9 volunteers from habitat humanity susquehanna. but they went kenya to help build a home for a man and his

between 120 and between-- between 120 and 150. flood waters created a mess and dangerous conditions in the midwestern and southern eastern states in the united states. check out flooding. this video is coming from arkansas where forecasters say 7 to 10 inches of rain have fallen in certain parts of the state. the vehicles were swept away as roads turned into rivers several rescues had to be made and when you look at this video you can see why. now we want to take you to tennessee where you got to see this video. a baby is rescued from high flood waters in nashville. the little one and mother were actually trapped inside the rising water at a home. crews helped everyone to get to dry ground safely which is amazing and dramatic video. lynette, it's incredible when you see stuff like that and it's happening in all parts of the country and missouri. >> it's going to happen again for today. they are not out of the woods

yet. and speak. ing of our -- speaking of our weather, we are talking about locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding across the area. we can see what's happening as we go through the rest of the morning, the showers and thunderstorms continue to roll in here off to the north and east. and we will start to have more showers and thunderstorms as we go into the afternoon and the reason why is, well, the focusis this stationary front and this will start to slide more off towards the east and with that, well, that's going to be bringing our rain chances in a little bit better. a little better. and then as we go into the weekend this will stall out to the south of us so we will keep the chance for the showers and thunderstorms in here but more isolated in nature it won't be as widespread. temperatures this morning coming in at 75 degrees right now in baltimore. 76 in arnold. 76 degrees right now in chesapeake beach and northeast. 77 in centerville and mardela springs is at 75 degrees. now abc2's most accurate future trend, picking up on showers and storms coming in here

especially towards the evening. so, this morning, rush hour is not so bad in terms of the wet weather but the evening traffic, yes, that's going to cause some problems there. and also, with the showers and thunderstorms still out there for today, possibly even as we go into the weekend, down load the storm shield weather app. if any of the storms turns severe it will alert you to the situation. 85 will be the temperature by lunchtime. and 88 will be the high today but with that humidity it's going feel like we are in the 90s. let's check the traffic now with lauren. >> reporter: well, we are dealing with some trouble in anne arundel county and there is a crash on route 100 along the westbound lanes approaching oakwood. and if you are traveling in baltimore county you will want to watch out for a crash in randallstown on liberty road. as we look at main lines we are looking at high speeds across the region. 83 in hunt valley and 61 miles per hour southbound at shawan road and everything will remain clear as you get on to the jfx

let's talk about what he going on maryland's most power -- what's going on maryland's most powerful radar as of now. we are dry but traveling along i-83 towards york being see moderate rain coming in across the area. so we are looking at yellows. everywhere else light grown across the board into western maryland. but, we will start to pick up on the scattered showers and-- so you need to grab that rain gear as you step out and about. let's look at what's going on in parkton because yes we see the cloud out there this morning. but also a little bit of patchy fog in spots as well. so, as you step out make sure to give yourself enough time on the roadways that will slowly but surely burn off and we will get sunshine in here going throughout the day and we can see the 100% humidity that means we are saturated and the dew point and temperatures exact same at 73. dew point is up there. we are definitely feeling it this morning. and that's going to continue as we go into the afternoon as well. arbutus' temperature at 75 and 73. in jessup we are at 74. dew point 66 and the pool looks

good. make sure to take a dip in it and keep a eye to the sky. when thunderers are go indoors. let's check the traffic now with lauren. >> reporter: well, we have several crashes in anne arundel county a new accident on 97. this is right along the southbound lanes after general's highway. and traveling on route 100, another crash is blocking one westbound lane and one shoulder as you approach oakwood road. it's slow back to route 177. and in baltimore county, the problems will persist a crash in randels atown at pikeswood ride but the beltway free of delays. we are looking at 55 miles per hour on the outer loop at liberty road. an easy ride as you make the push to route 40. and over in parkville this is harford road. nothing to a get in are way on the inner loop or outer loop. normal drive time of 11 minutes from 95 all the way up to 83. and if you are using the jfx to get downtown, you are look at 11 minutes from the belt -- looking at 11 minutes from the

beltway to fayette street. no problems through the tunnels morning. that's the timesaver traffic. new this morning, dozens of employees at the consulate in pakistan have been ordered to leave because of a very specific threat to that mission. a u.s. official says the action is a precautionary measure and not connected to the recent closures of other embassies around the world. the state department is issuing a nonessential travel warning to american citizens traveling to pakistan. meantime, president obama is planning to hold a news conference today to talk about the terror alert issued earlier this week. he may also take questions about the u.s. drone strikes in yemen which have killed dozens of suspected al-qaeda militants. and also, the president may talk about canceling a trip to moscow to meet with president putin. he is back out -- backed out of the trip after russia granted temporary asylum to edwardsnowden. >> the murder for hire trial
