yesterday. fortunately everyone made it out safely and the villa is said to be a total loss. flash flooding triggering mud slides a car completely rushed away from the waters. and all the mud. one person was killed and dozenings of homes have been damaged or destrode. governor signed a disaster declaration for manitou pricksproviding half a million dollars in cleanup and it will allow the colorado national guard to help in future flooding searches and in the rescues. let's talk about what's going on right now because we have the potential for some flash flooding for today. we have a flash flood watch in effect until 3 this afternoon. satellite and radar are picking up on rain pushing in and it's heavy in some spots. northern baltimore county this is pushing off to harford county. but back off towards the west, yes, we are starting to see some thunderstorms popping

across carroll county and frederick county and we will have a break in the action before or main storm comes in going towards the afternoon. that could become severe as we go into the afternoon time frame. at the surface we do have this cold front this is what i am talking about. ahead of the cold front we are dealing with a disturbance that's the one bringing the showers and thunderstorms this morning. and then once the cold front gets closer and passes through we will be dealing with the drier and cooler air as we work our way towards tomorrow. in the meantime, we are looking at temperatures this morning at 77 in annapolis and 73 in catonsville. centerville at 77. so the temperatures are on the warm side this morning. and we are very muggy again but we have some relief on the way. abc2's most accurate future trend goes into motion but before we do, look at the reds here. the reds indicate an inch an hour so yes, we are on saturated ground so it's not looking too good for us for today in terms of the flooding. as whoa go into the afternoon we will see more rain more showers and more thunderstorms

news time is 5:59 we are at of:00 we are start this -- 6:00 we are start with breaking news involving your weather. let's get over to lynette charles. >> yes. we are talking about a tornado warning that is in effect for harford county as of now. you can see the areas shaded in the pink color. you are look at rednecks to it- - looking at the red next to it. the tornado is in effect until 6:30 this morning. and so let's get down to business. we will keep you safe going throughout the day. so, as we look at maryland's most powerful radar as of now, this is the warning area and we can go ahead and zoom in on the area because we are dealing plenty of lightning across the area. and we have been talking about

it this morning. but the national weather service has deemed this area on the severe side and we are talking about that tornado warning. so let me step out and show you what's going on. this is pushing off towards the north and east and this was just issued at about 5:52 this morning. and the national weather service thinks it's capable of producing a tornado and it's five miles south of bel air moving off to the northeast at about 25 miles an hour. what we are watching now is for the locations impacked. we are talking about perryman and aberdeen and havre de grace this morning. so, again, if you are in these areas, you need to to the lowest part of your home as of now. and you need to do it now because this is what we are talking about. it's happening and you need to turn the television up and you can hear my voice as i am talking and again go to the lowest part of the home. if you don't have a lowest part of your home put enough walls between you and the outside and go into an interior room or bathroom and make sure to cover your head. i am going to give you more information and get more

details on this and we will come back but right now let's go a check of the traffic with lauren. >> reporter: you mentioned it a torno warning issued for harford county. you want to be extra careful if you are traveling in the areach the rain is coming down hard. slick conditions out there. this is not just in harford county. the slick conditions will be a problem across the region. you are looking live at 95 at route 543. and in aberdeen we are dealing with a car fire that has spread to a dwelling. it is near moyer drive. again, be extra careful traveling out on 95 as lynette mentioned we are dealing with a tornado warning through 6:30. as we look at the main lines at the jfx54 miles per hour at cold spring lane. the tunnels are in great shake and here's har foreroad-- great shape and here's harford road. we will be great across the board. 11 minutes on outer loop from 95 up to 83.

over on the west side 12 minutes up one minute from the last report to travel the outer loop from 795 to 95 and no problems on 895 despite the construction no delays through the harbor tunnel. 9 minutes from 95 to the toll plaza. charley over to you. news time 6:02. we will stay on the breaking news out of harford county and lynette will let us know anything if it becomes available. we new information on a death of a baseball fan in atlanta. city police say a man fell more than 60 feet to his death to a parking deck from a upper level platform. the victim's name has not been released and witnesses say the man who fell say it happened around 9:00 during the braves game with the phillies. that game had been in a ran delay for sometime. -- rain delay for sometime. police say there's no signs of foul play and they are not sure whether or not alcohol played a role. monday's accident is not the first of its kind at the ball park.
