crews across the u.s. battlewind, rain and things like this wild fires. the beaver creek fire in idaho has burned more than 100,000 acres. that's equal to the size of denver colorado. height ening is -- lightning isbelieved to have started the foyer two weeks ago. as the weather helped out over the weekend overcast skies and humidity, it's 9% contained so once again that is going on in idaho but to the southin florida rip tides prompting 50 water rescues along the atlantic beaches near miami. police say rescuers pulled an elderly couple out of the waters off miami beach but both later died. >> they were in cardiac arrest

night in january. maryland state police say the driver of a pickup truck ran a stop sign and hit josh's suv. josh's vehicle came across mountain road and up the embankment before wrapping around the telephone pole.josh was in critical condition a broken pelvis 28 screws now hold him together and a punctured lung and a brain injury that erased over a month of memories. >> the last thing i remember before the accident is like christmas. >> reporter: he lost 15 units of blood were given to him where he spent 17 days. now he is up and gaining his strength again i want -- he wants to give blood for the first time. he is asking you to join him on thursday and a way to thank the first responders and the doctors and the nurses. >> what's up pal. glad you are good. >> thank you. >> glad all of us saved your life. >> reporter: rany -- randy was on the scene that night.
