high school football season in the fall. two a day scrimmages in full swing. none has ended in a tragedy like thrills. in the second half of a game between two teams many the junior collapsed after making a tackle. he died at the hospital with a broken neck. the coach said this looked like a routine play. to make matters worse it took nearly 15 minutes for an ambulance to arrive. >> his head was up. >> nothing looked out of the ordinary? >> just a regular play. it took a while for somebody to get there. >> the me said the 16-year-old died from a fractured third vertebrae due to blunt force trauma. more and more attention being put on head injuries in sports both at the high school and pro level. we've create lad condition cushion resource -- created a

christopher lane was on a baseball scholarship in oklahoma. he and his girlfriend had just gotten back from australia and decided to go for a run near campus. that's when three teens drove up and opened fire. >> there were some people who shaw him stagger across the road, go to a kneeling position and collapse on the side visit road. >> police used surveillance footage from a nearby footage to track down the teens and arrest them. a 17-year-old admitted to driving the car and told investigators a 16-year-old pulled the trigger. he is from australia. his parents still live there and are not able to make the trip to oklahoma right now. coming up all new at 6:00, new details about the truck driver, the center of last month's accident on the bay bridge. we have the latest interest --
