the police is searching for answers after a woman's body is found on the side of the road, the result of a hit and run driver. >> reporter: anne arundel police were back on the scene of a hit and run accident in pasadena. police were alerted to a body. when they arrived, they found a woman dead, apparently hit by a car. police have not identified the woman yet but they have an idea of what the car looked like. they're asking people to be on the lookout for a 1982 mercedes, possibly a 300, 400 or 500 series with damage to the hood. >> very dangerous. no sidewalks or anything. when you're walking out here, you're taking a chance. >> reporter: he own's bryce's

at the shean. baltimore county police say they know who shot and killed melinda schaefer in june. she was found dead in the office where she worked. investigators said rashaan williams stabbed her to death. the 27-year-old worked as a maintenance man at the community and lived in one of the homes where the murder happened. if not for a gun jamming, yesterday's tragic shooting of a pigtown couple could have been more unbearable. the family of william monroe talked about how melville mason shot a couple but that mason was intent on doing much more damage. >> the baby was there. the baby was crying.

the baby came out of the bedroom. he tried to shoot the baby and the gun wouldn't shoot. >> that's all from williams' mother rhonda who remains in the hospital with a gunshot wound in the shoulder. mason was threatening the family since last friday. baltimore city police have a man in custody for a man in a shooting in re and park. it happened north of 40th. a man was helping a friend in a car when two men approached and shot him. a baltimore city police detective was found guilty today of lying about shooting himself in the leg. anthony fata said another man shot him and he repeated the lie during a worker's compensation

hearing. the verdict means he will be fired from the baltimore city fire department. neither the defense north prosecution can claim victory have the bradley manning's sentence. he was given 35 years in prison. last night he was found guilty of passing along classified documents. his attorney said he will even ask for a presidential pardon. >> i will represent him for future clemency issues. >> the option of parole has the founder of wikileaks calling the sentence a tactical victory. some in car rl county may have to drive farther for milk and bread. the store is closed because of
