after that crash here at one of the major intersections in north baltimore. the crash happened just after midnight about 12:30 this morning involving an s-uv on the-- and -- suv and a four- doorsedan. two people were in each of the vehicles. so far only one survived. officers are on the sceneconducting an investigation and police are stopping short of tell us how the accident occurred or which car was at fault. speed limit is 30 miles an hour. and the police spokesman told us that it's clear that based on the amount of damage and the impact we see here at the scene at least one of the vehicles had to have been traveling well in excess of the posted speed. already, the intersection has been shut down probably for a block in east direction fromnorthern parkway and york road for some 4 1/2 hours. that's going to extend for a couple more hours at least. and they are telling commuters as you have mentioned during the traffic report that by all means try to avoid the area
