and we contacted police but have not heard back on this case. for the latest on two elderly pit bulls who ended up at barcs after the owner was told by his landlord he could no longer keep them in the apartment. all of this stems from the ruling that declared pit bulls inherently dangerous opening up earns landlords to liability issues we will featured the dogs bear and sasha in a story last week and since then barcs has been flooded with calls from people who want to adopt the pair. they came from baltimore city others say as far away as ohio. >> we have had so much support it has been amazing. we have had applications coming in the past couple days and have over 10 applications right now for sasha and bear. we have just had support from people a want to help the owner. >>backs says it's a perfect -- barcs says it's good he can ample of why it's not a goodlaw. they hope stories like this

now from abc2 marled's most accurate fore-- maryland's most accurate forecast. >> good morning. a beautiful sight in parkton. beautiful sunrise across the area. look at the hughes. love it. it's going to be gorgeous for today. lots of sunshine in the forecast. but, don't let the picture fool you because it's chilly outdoors this morning. we are dealing with temperatures in parkton at 43 degrees right now. and the wind out of the northwest will pick up today at about 5 to 10 miles an hour and in reisterstown the temperature is at 43 degrees and in stevensville at 53. the temperatures are below average and in some portions of maryland, western maryland well we have frost advisory until about 9 this morning. and all the way up toward the north you can see it in the new

coloring. as we look at maryland's-- in the blue coloring. as we look at maryland's most accurate forecast we will stay dry with temperatures a high of 71. let's check the traffic with lauren. >> reporter: well, we are following a deadly crash right now in north baltimore. northern parkway shut down at york road. it's not expected to open throughout the morning rush. so right now your best alternate is charles street and alameda or lake avenue follow me on twitter at maryland traffic for the latest updates. more problems on 95. a accident northbound near route 100. 695 also going to be in bad shape. 95 downtown is going to be clear. tunnels are clear but the beltway is not. we are down to 19 miles per hour on the outer loop here at interstate 70 and earlier crash 70 eastbound prior to the beltway. but the beltway 26 minutes to travel from 795 down to 95. and 795 expect delays as well due to a crash southbound that has been moved to 695.

traffic back to owings mills 14 miles per hour there and an accident in pikesville on millford mill and that's your timesaver traffic. three people are dead and another is critically injured in a two car crash in north baltimore. jeff hager has been following the morning -- the story all morning. >> reporter: police have this intersection shut down at northern parkway and york road where the accident occurred just after midnight at 12:30 last night. police had the intersection shut down for more than 6 hours, it's expected to remain closed as this investigation continues. it is an investigation which includes the role police played in the events leading up to this crash which killed three according to deputy police commissioner jerry rodriguez. >> officers in plain clothes were in the area of hartford and 25th and observed a honda commit a suspicious activity which caused the officeers to

believe that criminal acts had been committed by the individuals in the vehicle. they attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle didn't yield to the officers. the officers followed the vehicle for sometime which got them to the intersection of northern parkway and york at which time the vehicles the officers had been involved in criminal activity collided with another vehicle. >> reporter: back live here we are told that the car they were pursuing the honda had two occupants and they are dead. it ran into a jeep. the driver of the jeep has survived and he is in critical condition. and he had a passenger with him who didn't make it through the horrible crash. as for the pursuit itself, we asked police about that and they said that at this point they won't tell us if the sirens are on or if the police engaged their lights or whether it was a high-speed chase. they are interviewing the officers following behind the honda. trying to get a better idea

military, as it combs the mall, floor-by-floor, detonating any explosives and shooting anything that moves. overnight, gunfire and explosions once again erupting from the westgate mall. as kenyan soldiers search for terrorists or hostages that may have still been inside. this, as the first images emerge of what may be the terrorists inside the mall. kenyan officials have not commented on the photo. but they are confirming that the mall was booby-trapped. we are doing cleanup of explosives that had been set up by the terrorists. they sweep, they say, is the final phase of a bloody and intense standoff that came to a head on monday. this video, obtained exclusively by abc news, shows kenyan soldiers fighting to take the mall from its roof and free the remaining hostages, all under a cloud of black smoke and persistent gunfire. this morning, as the signatures at westgate continues to unfold,
