all right. we see the key bridge. seeing some of the leafs changing. first, we talk about the leaf peeping. >> they call that in new england, leaf peeping. the nights are getting chilly. yea, the change of the leafs to cool temperatures. let's take a look at what our fall foilage may show. this spring brought a wet period from may to late june. the dry conditions allowed for the perfect balance of moisture content. that allowed for the trees to blossom. another advantage, the lack of major storms this year. all the trees are noise handful. we are anticipating a cool finish to september lasting into

october which experts say are the perfect nerd for vibrant -- ingredient for vibrant colors. a different story. the season kicks in earlier, so as for western maryland, by the middle of next month they will reach their peak intensity. experts warn too much warmth can ruin the process. too much cold air could ruin the process as well. out to the west of maryland the colors become more viep brantd by the month of october -- vibrant by the month of october. that's why we have to rely

jacoby jones in the head with a champagne bottle says it's a lie. she goes by the name sweet pea. she said jacoby and i had a verbal confrontation and i never hit him with a bottled i wish people would stop spreading lies on the internet. sweet pea said she's a waitress and the woman partying on the bus are not strippers. jones was injured in the opening season against denver and hasn't been on the field since. weather wise, chris cal clear. beautiful clear weather at roland park. i tell you, moss of the trees are around the immediate baltimore air, still generally green, a little bit of color

change. as we continue there's more color in baltimore county at our lady of grace. at deep creek lake more change in some of the trees on the horizon in the high country, the high terrain. so a lot of the trees are ever green so you don't see that out here in garrett county. again, just a scenic, scenic spot. by the way, we're tweeting about your best fall color. got foliage, just hashtag got time large. deep creek lake cooler than this. at the airport 73. pressure is high. clear and chilly first thing in the morning. sunshine breaks through midday and continues into the afternoon and really, just a beautiful setup. it will be cool by tomorrow evening. sunny days and warm afternoons and cool crisp nights. that's going to be the pattern. it continues with a light north breeze.

tomorrow the wind, which was -- less breezy tomorrow but just as clear and really just as uneventful. your travel plans across the entire u.s. looking great. in nova scotia they have a low pressure area there. we'll talk about that in a second. also, some rain developing down toward birmingham, alabama. there's two lows on the map, one in lower maine, one down into the deep south, south of kentucky. but high pressure dominating. that will keep us very clear tomorrow, cloud free again. you do see that area of low pressure that came out of tennessee and northern alabama. that continues to stay south of maryland and does not impact our weather. a few more cloud cost mix in by thursday. what you do see, also, is this cluster offshore. that area of low pressure coming out of birmingham. this could be a decent size

coastal run are into the second half into monday and tuesday running up the coastline. it could generate wind, shurs and a decent amount of cloud cover into early next week. you can see the center of circulation here. this very weak looking low ultimately could be the nexus or the core of that coastal storm system that runs the coast beginning into sunday and monday. we'll keep an eye on that. tonight down to 46, staying clear and cool. tomorrow 75. mostly sunny. what else is new and clear, cool tomorrow night. guess what? more sunny clear days, in the 70s. we'll keep that going into the weekend hours. there you go not a bad setup at all. really nice, actually and more of the same. really, talking about at 5, you don't want to take these days for granted. these will be gone in short order. we could get multiple days of

to the four day siege. as troops swept through the mall looking for terrorists, one soldier tossed a grenade, then took cover, waiting for the blast. the president of kenya told the country the terrorists were defeated. >> intelligence reports had suggested that a british woman and two or three american citizens may have been involved in the attack. we cannot confirm the details at present. >> reporte today we saw the first images believed to show the attackers. a tweet allegedly posted by the terrorist group al shabab categorically denies the involvement of any women. but an eye witness told a different story. >> instantly it was this is a woman. >> reporter: tonight there are reports that some of the attackers may have slipped out in the confusion on saturday as more than 1,000 people were evacuated from the 300,000 square foot mall. there are unforgettable stories and images of survival.

this picture of a woman and two children taking cover. then their rescue caught on tape. a man also lying on the floor crawls slowly to reach them. he picks up the little girl and then takes the young boy in his arms, crouching low as they run between kiosks towards safety. across the atrium in the supermarket as shots rang out, 19-year-old dorcas mwangi hid for four hours under a pile of suitcases. her brother texted her that the attackers were killing non m non muslims and sent her a prayer to memorize. >> i sent her a prayer. >> you would have been able to recite it. >> yes. >> reporter: she says it was her own prayer that got her through the ordeal. >> honestly, i was praying the whole entire time.
