traumatic brain injuries, which includes concussions. researchers from the cincinnati childrens hospital medical center found 92% increase of young people who visited emergency departments between 2002-2011, they also found that of the youngsters and teens admitted during the later years of the time period, the number of severe injuries was down. the study looked at more than 3800 3800 children and teens who went to the hospital with sports related injuries. although the severity of the injuries decreased over the years, the number of tdis increased in general. the study quotes cdc statistics showing tdis responsible for approximately 630,000 emergency visits, more than 67,000 hospitalizations, and 6100 deaths in children and teens each year. it's important for parents to
