i'd be happy because i'm scared. >> for now the school is closing down one building and relocating students while a full environmental review is being done. a 4-year-old brought crack cocaine to school. apparently the 4-year-old had bags of crack and $173 on him. the boy started showing off his stash and the other students told the teacher. k9 dogs were brought in. >> i'm shocked but it's not surprising with the drug epidemic in the city. >> we were concerned, scared to death. >> police took the 4-year-old to the hospital to be checked out. he is now safe. police are trying top figure out who gave the preschooler the cash and the drugs. today we are observing unite against bullying day and sole

military moms to be may not be getting much help from the government during this shutdown but they're not forgotten. >> there's operation baby shower. the charity is there to help. >> to see that other people care, it as nice to see other people do care and to have that support. >> actually, it coincides with what's going on with the

government shutdown and provides extra relief during the challenging unknowns. >> definitely important to have someone to give you support. operation baby shower has helped out more than 1700 military families around the country. this coastal low is very impressive and drifting steadily further north bringing the rain to southern maryland and to the shore. now it has the rain shield beginning to creep into baltimore. a precise look at that. you can see, as the northern edge of that system edges in, we've got heavy rain south of easton, southern caroline county, just light shower act for anne arundel but this whole line slowly but steadily drifting north. it's interesting from baltimore north, dry all day, so under the

the baltimore running festival may be coming up this weekend but i doubt there's any runner that can impress one from inned inned meet boogey the dog. he received his medal for completing a half marathon. he was lost and caught up with them at the starting line and kept going. no one knew who he belonged to. >> i found out later that he was all over facebook, running a marathon. >> can you believe that? >> i have a hard time because that's keeping his attention for a long time. i think he stayed op the track the whole time. >> police say that boogey is the world's first dog to complete a half marathon without any help from humans. he won't make it to the boston marathon this weekend. he has to take it easy.

you see this over to her lock. heavy rain coming in. a wider view showing some very heavy rain offshore getting set to move into the maryland beaches. so far the immediate baltimore area getting a few spritzes of rain. the whole ball of wax is steadily drifting northward. winds are gusty. we see from oat heat, gusts at 32, coastal flood concerns because of the high winds. they include parts of the western shore from anne arundel county south toward calvert cliffs for enhanced walker stacking up. so watch for it. by the way, large coastal system. you see the size of it. again, this will be with us for days to come as it is a very, very slow mover. overnight rain, expecting rain, wet roads, give yourself extra time. for more on the setup, let's head over to meteorologist mike masco. >> already some flooding.

they have coastal flood warnings. the worst will be further south and east you head. i want to show you the storm. it's really impressive satellite. you notice the tail signature. that's usually indicative of an intensifying storm. this is our first nor'easter. it's going to work with the area of high pressure. that's bringing a strong northeasterly wind flow. we call it a pressure gradient. the concern will be some coastal flooding. so it's from ft. mchenry on south, ft. mchenry a high tide. not a big deal but this could be one of those dock washers where this loads up the dock. it may disappear and low tide. so not expecting major impacts with this. it's a raw breeze. rain is pushing in. again, of course the next couple of days we have to address minor

flooding. rains will total between one to three inches and into ocean city some parts could pick up close to five inches of rain. that's what some of the models have shown. we'll talk more about this storm. wyatt everhart will show the seven-day forecast coming up. chances are if you we on 295, upspent a longer time behind the wheel. a deadly crashed closed both north and southbound lanes. amy aubert has the latest on the investigation and how it could affect you. >> reporter: by this afternoon traffic sped by, but early this morning, 295 was a different story. >> the cars were backed up from here as far as you can see past 295 and they were backed up all the way. >> reporter: richard is no strange are to watching commuters practically crawl as

they merge on to the highway. >> i've been here 16 years and been in business 36, a long time. >> reporter: he's never seen anything quite like this morning. >> the traffic was backed from the shop all the way back. you can't even cross over top of 175. the cars were lined up both directions pretty much. >> reporter: both the north and southbound lanes of 295 shut down around 5 a.m. >> the aftermath of a crash killing a pedestrian. >> we're still trying to determine exactly what happened. there seem to have been an accident northbound and then the subject was struck southbound, just south of 175. >> reporter: the shutdown created standstill on an otherwise quiet road. he was flooded with customers of

a different kind. >> everybody was stopping in the parking lot. so i should have been selling maps. >> reporter: after several lanes of rerouting both lanes reopened. for the police, the evaluation still continues. amy aubert, abc2 news. >> now police aren't releasing the victim's name yet but say he is an adult male. they wouldn't comment on whether the north and southbound accidents are related. traffic near the water main break that shut down all of parkville. some lanes are blocked near pairing parkway. public work road crews have been out there. that's right across from the park. no word on when that's going to be fixed. a new blow tonight for a business shutdown
