yesterday that lynne brennan's body was discovered inside her apartment in manchester. it is unclear when she died. authorities have not said anything about how she died. brennan's family says the mother of three was going through a divorce at the time of her death and had been living in the apartment for just a few months. her brother says there were no signed of forced entry. beyond that, he doesn't know any details. he theys it is important to bring attention to what happened in hopes it will make a difference into the investigation of her death. >> if i lived in your community and there was a killer on the lose or an unsolved murder, i think i would want to know about it. i think it is newsworthy. it needs to be said. someone knows something. i mean, you know, there's someone out there that committed a murder and is still possibility here. : we did reach out to the attorney general's office. they were unable to speak with us yesterday.

if you have any information, leave an 624-4040. ray brewer,wmur news 9. erin: police are trying to figure out why two cars crashed sending three people to the hospital with serious injuries. a car was turning into the tobacco junction convenience store near the massachusetts state line when it was hit by an oncoming vehicle. a 34-year-old woman was flown to the boston hospital with life threatening injuries. two other people were seriously hurt. a 1-year-old child was not hurt thanks to his child safety seat. two people were taken to the hospital after an suv hit a motorcycle in salem yesterday evening. a 16-year-old driver was turning off of glen road when he collided with an oncoming motorcycle. the rider of the bike massachusetts hospital with serious injuries.

24-year-old man from quebec was hiking the trail in lincoln on saturday when he collapsed. witnesses and rescue officials performed cpr. the main main -- man was air lifted. they are trying to determine how he died. two more students have been diagnosed with viral meningitis. the most recent case involves a child in the town of cumberland. this comes two days after a high school student in biddeford, maine was diagnosed. reported. viral meningitis is typically less severe than the bacterial form. still ahead, honoring fallen heros. hundreds ran through the streets of manchester yesterday in the annual run for the fallen. a new hampshire native refused to become a victim. she put her self-defense skills to good use when she found a random man inside her home. in the next half an

the company making the production run because the design is so high. even the designers are surprised by the popularity. the pilot of an airlines flight had to slam on the brakes just before take off in las vegas when one of the engines caught fire. there were more than 160 people on board. no one was hurt. the plane was already going more than 100 miles per hour when the pilot aborted. they raced to the scene to douse the flame. five were killed and five others hurt when a helicopter crashed. at least two royal air the dead. it appears the chopper hit the cable of an observational balloon while trying to land. it seems that moviegoers are excited about getting stranded on mars. the matt damon thriller,

school is considering turning the colonial into a welcome center or even a dining hall with a performance space. emerson officials promise there will be future performances at the colonial. they are considering a variety of options. the foilage is at peak up north. the colors are just amazing across most of the state right now drawing huge clouds to the granite state for the long holiday weekend. tourism officials say about 660,000 people will spend time here today. up 2.5% from last year. visitors are expected to they are here. the owners of one motel in lincoln say they have guests from all over the world. >> they come to see the fall foilage. this is very important for them. fortunately we're here something beautiful. >> it doesn't matter if you go north or south, right now.

this eventually is here tomorrow with the chance of a passing shower or two. then the upper level system moves through here with the chance of a couple of passing showers on wednesday. temperatures in the mid 30's up north. a few spots out west. it is 40's elsewhere. 40 in concord, 47 manchester to the coast, and 43 in rochester. 45 in nashua. as we go through the day today, a wind out of the south and southwest. 70's. you know in october this isn't going to last. tomorrow it will still be in the 60's to lower 70's. then we're talking mid 50's to mid 60's on wednesday as we'll continue to fall backward. this one of the days that you want to get out and enjoy it if you have the day off. it is going to be one of the really nice days out there. sunshine is feeling really warm for about three or four hours this afternoon until eventually that sun starts to go down. as you noticed, the cools off quickly. we'll start it clear only to see clouds drift

you'll notice as we cycle here not only through the daylight hours tomorrow but on wednesday a few breaks of sun here and there. just a couple of passing showers. nothing to cancel any outdoor plans over. tough to time out when they will roll through. the system will start to pull away later on wednesday and into thursday. we get a weak area of high pressure in control. quietest day. another front approaching. that front will mean business. that one will bring in cooler temperatures. each of the next six days after today gradually getting cooler and stepping by three, four, or five degrees. temperatures as high as they will be for quite a while. we're in the 70's statewide. as high as 78 in nashua and salem. we'll slip back into the 40's to lower 50's. clouds will start drifting in by morning. the clouds will hold a shower or two. maybe an additional shower or two with the upper level system on wednesday.

out fliers on river road in hope of finding someone with answers. but with each passing year, they grow more doubtful of solving the case. >> i think we're all pretty educated people. the farther it gets along, the less likely it is going to be resolved. the only people we can rely on are the attorney general's office and the local police here and the community. ray: he says his sister was going through a divorce at the time of her death and had been living in the apartment for just a few months. >> she was at home, you know. what i've been told there was no forced entry into the home. ray: as the family continues to grieve, they want to keep the case fresh. >> this has to be someone out there that knows what happened, you know? beyond the person who beyond that. ray: if you have any information about the case, you can always phone in an anonymous tip.

manchester, ray brewer, wmur news 9. erin: tomorrow derry residents get to vote after they rejected an appeal filed by the town council. a judge had previously ordered the town to hold a special election. the town council passed a controversial budget that included several cuts, including public safety. residents filed petitions. conservations officers helped a hiker who become sick on mt. washington this weekend. a 22-year-old woman from maine was hiking up the ammonoosuc ravine trail when she felt ill. she was able to hike down with help from officers and her boyfriend. hospital for treatment. no word on how she's doing this morning. the scary scene in laconia sunday when a 106. the laconia fire department says a ford 250 was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene. no one was hurt.

no ward on what started the fire. in rochester, a motorcycle crash backed up traffic sunday morning. police say the driver of the motorcycle abruptly stopped and was rear ended by a car. the biker was taken to the hospital with none life threatening injuries. a driver hit a state troopers cruiser on 93 south in campton. they got a call yesterday saying a driver was weaving in and out of traffic. minutes later, the driver hit the cruiser. troopers arrested 63-year-old katherine d'angelo for driving while intoxicated. sergeant muzzey was treated for minor injury. they launched a new web site to help electricity consumer shop for competitive rates and suppliers. on pu c.nh.gov customers identify if they are residential or small commercial businesses. then they select their local utility.

officials say this will make it easier for customers to scroll through the various products and prices and decide which meets their needs. many travelers flying on southwest were faced with delays yesterday after a technical glitch slowed down the airlines web site and booking system. the system controlling digital boarding passes, their mobile app, they all start working. the trouble began around 10:00 a.m. when southwest began manually issuing boarding passes. by 1:30, the number of affected flights reach 450. >> it is usually good. times that murphy's law gets you. erin: southwest doesn't know it will be fixed. as of this morning, wasn't reporting any delays. it is a good idea to check ahead. it is the holiday weekend for many.

today the 19th annual lincoln craft festival continues. the village shops along main street for packed with vendors yesterday. more than 100 artisans are selling their crafts and food. one venator in particular had a long line of people waiting to buy cannolis straight from the north end in boston. >> i come up here just to sell cannolis. i do 21 of the craft festivals. meredith and lincoln, i sell you out. it is amazing. once i get you, you are mine. erin: lots of foods for grabs from jams to chocolates to fried dough. commitment 2016 news, several candidates will make stops in manchester today. the big event ahead of tomorrow's democratic debate. lost at sea, the mother of a crew member on board the el faro speaks out. what she has to say about the missing ship. kevin: quick moving system on friday.

martin o'malley, jim webb, and bernie sanders aerosmith is asking trump to stop using his song. they have asked trump's camp twice to stop using the song saying they don't have permission and it gives a false impression that tyler and the band are connected with the presidential bid. trump's campaign has not responded. the mother of a missing crew member is speaking out. mary shevory sat down with our sister station. her daughter, mariette wright, was one of 33 on board when the ship encountered hurricane joaquin. despite what happened, she's not mad at the captain. >> i believe if there was any way they could have prevented it, they would have, but the captain chose to ship out in that tropical storm. erin: she says her daughter

described herself as being married to the sea. this morning a community is mourning the loss of a police officer killed in the line of duty. it happened yesterday in cordova, tennessee about 20 miles east of memphis. terence olridge was off duty. the shooting is under investigation. a suspect is in custody. the early domination of the 2015 new england patriots are already being compared to the 2007 patriots. after last night, the 2015 squad is out performing the one of eight years ago. second quarter tied at three. tom brady takes the snap. and it only continues from there. fourth quarter brady throws it perfectly to julian edelman. 59 yards to the end zone. patriots win 30-6. the patriots have 149 points.

raven's history. >> now your storm watch 9 forecast. erin: all right. we're bake -- waking up to a bit of fog. the temperature is going to be rising. kevin: you can see a lot of traffic this morning. for some folks, it is a day off. temperatures in the 70's. it is a well timed day off because we'll have a lot of sunshine to go along with it. otherwise we're looking at the chance of some shower activity tomorrow and wednesday and certainly the headline will be the cooler temperatures that continue to weave their way in through the week. beautiful sunrise this morning. we are going to get temperatures today running 15-20 degrees above the average in some locations. just due to the southerly and southwesterly breeze and all of the sunshine we'll have. temperatures are starting the day in the 30's and 40's. we're running five to ten degrees above the average with the clearer skies early this morning. we pan out, you'll notice the next system coming at us. there's a line of clouds and showers for the day tomorrow.

then the upper level system on wednesday. yesterday the temperatures in north dakota were in the 90's. right now we're in the 40's to near 50 degrees. the closer you get to the shoreline, we have a little bit of patchy fog to be had. it isn't locally dense or widespread across the area. a lot more 30's up in the north country. it will be in the 40's to lower 50's out ahead of the front as it makes its way in. high temperatures today up above 70 just about everywhere. pittsburgh, lancaster, 72 today. while for southern areas of the state, up around 77 or 78 with enough. it could be pushing 80 degrees in a couple of southern locations away from the coast. you'll notice it will come with sunshine for us today. partly cloudy skies. then the clouds really inside in number early tomorrow morning after lows in the 40's to lower range of the 50's. it will still be mild for the day tomorrow. 60's to lower 70's.

which is still way above the averages for this time of year. there will be that risk of a shower here and there maybe early in the day or later in the afternoon. the main theme a lot of drier hours maked in between. similar scenario wednesday. maybe a couple of brakes of sunshine. you'll notice a couple of showers from the northwest. the northwesterly direction is going to start bringing in cooler air. highs by wednesday only in the mid 50's to mid 60's. then we're talking 50 ohs to near 60 on thursday. that will be with a similar amount of sunshine and clouds today. then from there, cooler air starts to make its way in at the end of the week. a front coming through late thursday night and early friday that may hold the shower with it. then you'll notice the temperatures which continue to slide. each of the seven days cooler than the day we're going to continue to see the overnight lows. by the time we get to friday to early saturday, enough moisture and cool enough temperatures there's the possibility in the northern half of the
