who disappeared around the same time, and killed himself last week. good evening, everyone, i'm jean mackin. tom: and i'm tom griffith. our other top story tonight, a jury is deliberating the fate of 19-year-old tristan wolusky from rochester who faces first and second degree murder charges. he's accused in connection with a stabbing death of 18-year-old aaron wilkinson in madbury in june of 2014. wilkinson's body was dumped in maine. jean: jennifer crompton joins us live from dover. reporter: well, there are a lot of givens in this case, we know that tristan wolusky went with two friends to madbury in june of 2014 with the intention of robbing aaron wilkinson of we know the 18-year-old wilkinson was then stabbed over 20 times and his body dumped, along a road in maine. and we know the other two friends cut a deal with the state, they pled guilty to second degree murder, in

tonight a jury has to figure out what role he played in a case riddled with accusations of lying. >> tatum and pinette made the decision to take knives up the driveway. pinette made the decision to hack aaron. that was never discussed. reporter: according to the defense, michael tatum and zachary pinette are lying. tristan wolusky may have tackled aaron wilkinson to rob him as planned but didn't know the others had brought knives and a machete. >> when he was surprised by the machete he jumped up, and when he jumped up somebody jumped in and that was michael tatum. tatum went completely nuts. reporter: but in the state's words it's wolusky who has been lying to get away with murder, that the three acted in concert and knowingly caused aaron wilkinson's death. >> the plan to commit robbery at knife point, all the

and his accomplices created to heighten the damager to aaron, isolated from safety, three on one, deadly weapons out, and ready to use. reporter: the state pointing out we'll never know what really happened in the final minutes of wilkinson's life, but that wolusky bears responsibility. >> the defendant was in the thick of it. he was holding aaron down, preventing aaron from leaving, preventing aaron from escaping to safety. preventing aaron from living. and for that, he is guilty as an accomplice. reporter: the jury deliberated for just over an hour before breaking for the day. they'll have a three-day weekend and will be back at it monday morning. jennifer crompton, wmur news 9. tom: manchester police say a woman in custody bit another woman. police say last night pamela sing was cursing a customer in a store on union street and appeared to be under the

influence of alcohol and drugs. officers subdued her and put her into the police van where they say she continued to act aggressively. even biting another woman in custody on her shoulder. that woman was treated for her injury. sing faces charges including disorderly conduct. for the first time ever, we're seeing inside the home of ed and elaine brown before it goes up for auction. after the browns were convicted of tax evasion, the 100-acre parcel with a fortress style house was the scene of a 9 month standoff. they are now serving decades in prison. heather hamel gives us a tour. reporter: after one failed attempt, federal officials are once again trying to auction off the infamous house of convicted tax evaders ed and elaine brown. more than 6,000 square feet of living space, largely unfinished, and some of the projects leave you scratching your head. >> i don't know what the purpose of this was. reporter: in contrast to last

year's auction, the starting bid is down from $250,000 to $125,000. and prospective buyers can preview the plainfield property beforehand. >> even though we call had this the second floor, it's not all on one level. reporter: the fortress was built around and on top of an existing house. >> when you come over here to the window box you can see the existing roof. >> so he built right over it. >> yes. reporter: then there's a hidden door at the back of a closet. >> i didn't even catch it, it was someone that pointed it out to me. reporter: down the ladder a small bunker with a passage way that leads just outside, dirt hiding a manhole cover from view, and the unique characteristics continue. if you've ever seen any video of the brown home, you'll surely recognize the turret. it's a tower that would allow mr. brown a 360-degree view of his property. the room is boarded up now, but chairs remain by the windows. >> there's a lot of nice features in here, there's a lot

planned to hike from october 5 through 10th, she has not returned, but her car was found at a trail head in bethlehem. the search effort will double tomorrow. if you have any information, if you spotted her, you're urged to call fish and game. tom: to commitment 2016 now. ohio governor john kasich made the first major policy speech of his campaign today. and he chose new hampshire as the place to do it. the republican presidential candidate laid out a comprehensive proposal he believes will breathe life into the economy. political director josh mcelveen sat down with the governor following the speech. josh? reporter: yes, so kasich wrapped up a four-day bus tour that was interrupted over the weekend, so the republican could put the finishing touches on an economic plan that changes the way that the federal government does business. it does beef up areas of national defense, but domestically it returns a lot of power and money to the states. >> with we have jobs, we can take care of our families.

reporter: with that john kasich shed light on his plan to grow the american economy. one that calms for major reforms to entitlement programs, a siz downsizing of the federal departments of education and transportation, while shifting those school and road dollars directly to the state. >> i will immediately put us on a path to a balanced budget and i will get it done within eight years. reporter: kasich enjoyed a positive response to the most important policy speech of his campaign so far. after which we joined the governor on the bus, where he acknowledged the growth comes through some pain. >> you don't wall a budget and everybody is having a picnic, but it's no different than a mom and sad that say we're going to go bankrupt if we don't control our expenses. report he says his plan doesn't consider poll numbers and he's not out to win popularity contests and he's aware that critics are painting him as insensitive. but in a year that's seen trmp and bernie sanders tap into

the status quote, kasich says he's pretty sure he can handle it. >> i'm willing to take the heat if people don't like what i'm doing, somebody's got to do it, somebody has to be the adult in the room and i've chosen to be that. reporter: he also weighed in on the presidents plan on accepting refugees from the syrian crisis into the u.s. he see he would consider allowing some but only after safeguards are put into place to make sure they are true refugees and not a threat to national security. kasich will return to new hampshire sometime next week. jean: candidate jeb bush downed a roundtable discuss on preventing domestic violence in concord this morning. representatives from law enforcement, government and advocacy groups gathered to discuss how to work together. the former florida governor described ways his administration worked to ebb the addiction cries is in his state. bush says domestic violence and addiction many times go hand in hand.

this, if you like milder weather as we come to the weekend. win coming in out of the south now, but that win is going to shift tomorrow and there's going to be a big shift in the weather as we work into the weekend. a few clouds straddling across the northern most sections of new hampshire in coos county, most of the showers associated with these clouds are staying in canada. however, off to the north and west we do have another strip of clouds and showers, these are the once that will be moving through overnight tonight, but mainly during the morning hours tomorrow. after that rolls on through though, there's still a lot of left over showers thanks to cold air. water spouts across the great lakes. we won't see that here, but because of the very cold air moving in over the milder water. how cold is this air? it's in the 20's today. in parts of central areas of ontario and northern quebec. starting with tonight, we're mild, at least for mid-october standards, in the 40's. rain showers primarily north and

west. over. clouds mostly moving in by dawn. let's break it down for you, our temperatures as mild as 47 along the seacoast. most of us in the 40's and again most of the showers across vermont, although some will sneak across the border into our own northern and western areas of new hampshire by the wee hours of the morning. for the day tomorrow, rain up north in the morning will taper off to just leftover showers in the afternoon. there will be some sun south. highs a little deceiving because we'll get into the upper 40's to near 50 north and the rest of us in the 50's and lower 60's. you're saying that's the same as today, right? not really because that's going to happen in the morning, then temperatures fall through the 50's during the afternoon with a blustery west northwesterly breeze. and they keep falling. we drop into the 30's by friday night as those showers work away. but on saturday, rain and snow in the north country and the white mountains, accumulation not so much. i think we might get a coating

terrain, but our highs only in the 40's and 50's and it keeps dropping from there. if the kill frost doesn't end the growing season for you on sunday morning, it certainly will by monday morning because we'll only be in the low to mid 20's and highs even with sunshine on sunday, only in the 40's south, 30's north. we do recover, so that by the middle of next week we'll be back into the 60's to near 70. so just enjoy a little preview of winter. jean: a little taste, all right, thanks, chris. jamie: u.n.h. hockey team ready for a showdown against the top 20 team tomorrow night, it is a good test. we need to disrupt the old order in washington, dc.
